I hope the pup is doing ok. We have had two at the vet recently. One was attacked by coyotes.(planning with the farmer to handle some of that). The other was hit by a plow truck. Surpisingly no broken bones. Could buy a ton of ammo for what the vets charge. Glad to have the dogs in better health though. Have a good one, Tools.

Local scheels has 115 and 124 blazer for 13.99, not bad for 124. Local fleet farm has a sale on 115 blazer, 11.99. Sold out pretty quick. 12g buck around here has been way under a dollar a round lately too, lots of stuff getting shredded up on the range. And the local runnings had a pile of tula 223 going for 6.99, not sure where they dug those up but it's a heck of a deal. Nice to know what the rest of the country is up to too.

Nice. I had quite a bit of a haul over the last two weeks. I got a Springfield 2020 Target rimfire. And I bought a CZ in 6mm Creed so I got a five boxes each of the ELDX and the ELD Match for it for a grwat deal. A local ammo shop had good prices on the Norma Whitetail line so I grabbed five boxes of 7mm-08, two boxes of 6.5 Creed and two boxes of 270 Win of the Norma One box of Gold Dot 223, one box of the heavier Critical Defense 223, five boxes of HST 9mm +P which has been a bit hard for me to find lately. I grabbed five boxes of your favorite, the 22 LR Punch and two 500 round boxes of the Aguila Super Extra. That Super Extra and the Auto Match have become my favorite bulk 22 stuff.
Sorry to hear about the puppers Brian. I had the same thing going on with my Lab as well, and was seen today.
I would suggest MT. Tabor Animal Hospital in Winston. (Voted best Vet clinic in the Triad) Ask for Dr.Craig. He's a Zoologist and has seen my buddy since born and is 9 years old now, and they don't overcharge and give you a bunch of BS you don't need. He's also very Conservative and great bedside manner. Nice haul, and thanks for the link, my new tool needs some food!

Hope your dog is doing better. I've got a 14.5 year old GSP and she got sick with an infection a few weeks back. Thought we might lose her it got so bad, but she got better and is getting around just fine again.
Take care of the doggo, give her some scritches, and enjoy the time you have with her, because it's never enough.

we all have a soft spot for 357 sig, its one of the most powerful calibre we can have here in Australia in semis as we are restricted by bullet width

Yeap, sorry to hear about your pup, hopefully doing better. Picked up some blazer 9mm 115 for $11.99, aguila 22lr for $3 and some 12ga and 20ga clay/target shells for $7.99 in MN.

With reloading components starting to become available, hopefully it will take some pressure off the factory stuff. Finally found some primers a few months ago& been rolling my own ever since. No need to buy the factory stuff, hope the puppies get better soon! Thanks Tool's
9mm and 5.56 in PA going strong. 9mm $279.00 for 1000 FMJ. 5.56 is $299.00 for 500 Frontier. Life is good.
Hey Tools hope your pup is better, I know what that's like. Just wanted to say I watched a video you did about a year ago on .380 Sig V crown and for .380 I was impressed. Right afterwards I got a sales email from Optics Planet where it was and still is for $.72 a round. Not cheap but for a good defensive round in .380 it is a good price. The only thing I noticed was the ad showed nickel cases where I received brass. I figure as long as it performs the same, no foul.

I have run across one ammo shortage that I would like you to check out. Now you always talk about the Winchester white box in 380 ACP well I have been buying HERTERS in 380 ACP from Bass Pro because I heard its made by Winchester and the price is a little less expensive well all of a sudden it’s not on bass pro website anymore so I’m not sure if Herters are making it anymore but anyway it appears to be the same exact round as the Winchester can you do some research for me and see if it is still in production or maybe why Bass Pro doesn’t have it thanks for the help. I appreciate it and love all your videos! One of your number one fans!

You’re a lucky man. My local Academy, (pretty much the only local place to buy ammo), seems to have most calibers, but not near the selection or quantities you have access to. As far as a shortage goes, I think we were flirting with it, but as prices have crept up things seem to have stabilized - at least for now. $300 for a 500 round case of Winchester 5.56 green tip? Wow! A few weeks ago I bought a few 1,000 cases of PMC green tip from preppergunshop for $484, but they've been sold out for a while now. I was surprised to see that Wolf 7.62x39 on the shelf. Stocks have pretty much dried up online - for obvious reasons. I did buy a couple of 1,000 cases of it from SGAmmo about a week ago for $480 a case with free shipping and am glad I did. So far they show no sign of running out, but today the price is $520 a case. I saved $80 by buying a week ago.
Looking way better down there then in my local shop on the md/pa. Line, I get most my ammo on line now. Im really interesting in the 380. Pdx1 test. Enjoy your show as usual.
My Rual King stays sold out of the popular stuff, 380acp, 9mm 45acp etc. But my local funshops are always stocked pretty good.
Would be nice to see a ballistic test with longer distances to the gel. I would like to see how much the distance will affect expansion and penetration.
wild man on the Loose buying ammo. 45 Colt a cartridge I do not miss, used to reload it, sold the Colt revolver and said good bye to that Caliber. still waiting for primers to come down to a reality price wise. I reload 30 carbine, you have to resize and trim almost every shell. it also sits somewhat poorly in the reloading press so it is slow going for that particular round.

Sorry to hear about the furry family member, hopefully things get better. On the ammo situation, my last visit to Cabelas was a bust. No .223, 5.56 of any kind. No bulk, no hunting loads, no defensive rounds. Barely any 9mm, mostly range ammo,not much for defensive as well.
Hope doogy gets better soon. We lost our hound August last year. Had her for 13.5 years. They are family.
One local store here, Runnings, has TulAmmo .223 for $7.99. I see a LOT of .410 lately, but it's all the TSS stuff for like $50 per box.

Round by me you can't find any 9mm,or 357 cal self defense ammo,there is still a little bit of 9mm target ammo but that is also getting scarce

With Dunham sports you absolutely have to check online prices before you buy. They have sales every week and honestly pretty good prices on a lot of ammo. During Christmas I bought 4k of 22lr bc the prices were soo good.
70 grain TSX....should penetrate well....run it in 16 and 20 inch barrels...

Hey tools. I tried to see if it was mentioned already but didnt see anyone point it out, the sabre ammo is actually 2 different grain weights. You mentioned both boxes were the same. Im sure you'd notice whenever you do your test with it but just wanted to make mention of it!

Depends on the caliber. I couldn't find 6.5 Grendel Hornady Match for 3 years. Now it occasionally pops up but at a price I can't afford lol.

@@misterx8592 We reload handgun calibers. I just recently acquired most of the necessary tools for rifle rounds. Still need a reamer and some other stuff. I have enough bullets, primers, powder and brass to load a couple hundred but no good place to test the loads and work them up. Closest place is well over an hour away.

For defence ammo, i would just stick with Federal, reliable and it works in pretty well all their rounds.

Hope your dog gets well soon. That 9 pellet Super X is the most comfortable recoil I've gotten with any 00 12 gauge, so it's what rides in my HD shotgun. I don't really care about flight control at in-home distances.

Ammo at Rural King here in this part of Florida is horrible. No .410ga to speak of, had a case of .40cal Punch in 165 gr., ( which I buy on your recommendation.) at 19.99 a box. Plenty of 12ga. though. A lot of FMJ. I like Shoot Straight here in FLA, pallets of ammunition. Thanks for your efforts we hear you.

I don't go in person very often. I did capture some Odin Works barrels for ~$75 vs the normal $350+ recently.
Can you show more of when someone has reloading components like your ma&pop store. I.E.- powder-bullets-primers etc.
Does your local shop have 2400 powder? ... and if you think of it look out for 454 casull, whatever you see.
I have had issues with the AAC 10MM primer strike, no ignition
hope doggy doing better. there's a difference between 55.6 & 223. 55.6 has higher pressure. fmj is cheap but not sure how useful it is.

Sorry to hear about your dog, my 13 year old cat had almost died a couple months ago and had to be brought to the emergency room because a tumor was causing constipation. On a separate note I picked up 1k of ppu m193 at .48cpr, supposed to be 200 fps faster than pmc m193. I also grabbed 1k of the Winchester 9mm m1152 sg9w at .30cpr, you should do a test on the m1152. Hope your dog is doing well
