night shift - lucy dacus cover 🥀🕯 (river deer)

this song has been with me since 2018, and has gotten me through a lot of stuff in life, and it has meant so much to me for so long. and by complete chance, i actually got to meet lucy dacus recently, and had the chance to tell her just how much it means to me, and to thank her for it, and that was such an overwhelming moment (in the best way possible). she is the coolest person on the planet, and it was so insane to get to meet The Person who wrote The Song that got me through literally so much.
I always wanted to learn this song, but it always felt way too heavy, way too real, way too personal to sing without without lucy's track singing beside me as I screamed away. but I am happy to report, that after 5 years, this song does indeed now feel like a cover ;) and that's a pretty nice feeling.
I love this song now and forever. thank you lucy for this blessing!!!

No, I believe it is in open D. It is definitely doable in standard, but the timbre comes from that open D tuning
