THANK YOU SO MUCH. i was having a hard time scaling my plates these past few months since i couldn't find any tutorial video with clear explanations, yet i'm so glad I find this
So, our CAD subject starts next week (Wednesday) I'm just here to see if I can learn some basics before entering a war 😇👌I love your work space, and thanks for the tips on how to scale
bro thank you so much, i have always found scaling so confusing but you literally just taught me. other youtubers complicate the whole thing, now i hane no issue with scaling on autocad
Please make a tutorial about perspective points with difficult house models :( Other youtubers are hard to understand but hopefully I'm learning from you :D. I've watched your previous videos and I learned a lot! I am looking forward for your next videos :)
GREAT VIDEO MAN!! I'm still hoping for a video on how to get the proper proportions in perspective :(( but anyways great video and very helpful!!! Flying peace!!!
This is a good tutorial video. Ive graduated already. And ive been working as an apprentice. But im so scared to ask our boss about scales. Because honestly. I passed my exams based on nerves only 😂. Ive been figuring out scaling on paper space. .and im not quite sure with the results. .so my drawings is really questionable. .im always scared if my boss would take out his metric scale and measure my prinouts. .these one feels easieeer. . .and looks easier. .❤ its funny but i think this is a very common problem and one of the things arki peeps would search for hahahaha. .including me.
I swear the Layout tab is the bane of my existence. Spent two hours trying to put plans on paper the proper way through layouts. Nothing works. Thank you for showing me it's completely fine to just stick to the Model tab lol
I can help you to do your layout by easy way: if you draw by: Mlm just put the scale in page setup 1/1 Cm 10/1 M 1000/1 then you can change your draw in view port with any scale you want it Ex:( 1/100 or 1/200 ..... etc)
You're good in sharing tips and techniques to other I salute you bro keep it up God bless and more blessing to come!! Btw incomingarki student ako hehehee
Dude... please explain about the line weights according to thicknes.. so that we can create our own template for regular and professional use for all the drawings.. coz it is not possible anyone to create every time for each file. Please..
Llyan i can't get my paper size and printable area to match up and i've copied exactly everything you have done. What am i doing wrong? It comes up with paper size: 420 x 297, but prit rea is 410 x 263. If i click fit to paper, underneath comes up with 1mm= 56.46mm automatically? And if i unclick fit to paper and put in scale 1:50 it still comes up with the same margin! So frustrating.
Fantastic little tutorial! But I suggest reducing the level of your background audio a bit, or at least choose a more chill or slower pace music. I found it a little distracting while I was intently listening to your instructions which was a little on the fast side. Regardless, thank you for sharing your knowledge
In certain occasions it is, like when you need to print just one page. but when doing plans that require repetitive title blocks and pages, using layout is faster:) It just depends on what you're printing.
Working with buildings I find it convenient to use meters. I'd use mm if I designed small machinery or something. I mean it'd be silly to type 10,000 or 50,000 all the time when that's the kind of input I keep needing.
architect, just a question. anong template ang ginagamit mo before ka magstart ng drawing? is it metric mm or imperial inches? like dito sa video mo? what template po ito or units na ginamit mo? hopefully mapansin ito
This is the wrong way of plotting in scale. Apparently, this is also what is being taught in some training centers (based on some graduates I talked to). And their excuse for resorting to this method VS. the correct use of layout is that = Math is hard and confusing, specifically the concept of scaling. They are confused about the concept and logic of "scaled drawing " or "scaled model". And they don't realize the proper method is indeed the fastest and easiest one. As a teacher, it saddens me to see people doing what supposed to be an easy task but instead, the hard and complicated way.
I often use layout and viewports when exporting whole plans because of the title blocks and easy plotting, but for scaling and printing small images for scale models i often just resort to this method haha:)
@@LlyanAustria Understandable. When I was also learning about CAD back then, I also hated this method, maybe because I am very good in Math. Haha. But, of course, we, artists, are NOT only limited by what software can offer so I understand what you mean when you say you are more comfortable with this method. After all, it is the end result that matters the most and not the methodology. Very good explanation, by the way. More power to your channel.

Ask question again sir. What if my drawing Units is Mtr. And my drawing is mtr also, Then i want to put my drawing in that same your way to plot it but it is set into mm. How i gonna do that? Tnx!!
When we print the drawing to the selected paper, the printer adds a margin. This makes the drawing shrink down so that the scale of the drawing ruins. How to correct this?
What unit set-up you use when you draw? Is it in meter unit? I see when you draw a straight 8.5x11 size looks too small compare to the bed shown on workspace when in fact the bed sizes is like 2 meters lenght, how can a number 11 is too small compare to number 2, im a bit confuse

Hi! I have something to ask. I hope you will help. I am using layout in plotting. The bad thing is, having plotted the drawing at my desired size of paper, the preview of the layout in autocad is perfectly on center of the paper.
