Riding The Greenford Branch for the First Time!

- never been on the Greenford branch before, so me and a couple of friends decided to ride it for the first time, and its certainly an interesting line, feels a bit weird when the train pulls into Greenford right next to the Central line trains. It also feels weird to see a Class 165 around that area, definitely unusual. I do like the line, interestingly one of the stations (Castle Bar Park) still has an operational ticket office so in a future video I might head back there and see if I get a platform ticket.

GWR are to use the Class 230 Battery-diesel trains and to use them on trial on the Greenford branch line.

Good video - it’s a nice little line to which I owe my gratitude - for some reason a networker pulling into Greenford is the most viewed video on my channel! I believe once the 230s enter service with GWR, they’ll be taking over from the 165s.
Ah yes forgot about that, nice one! It's an interesting line, definitely will seem weird with 230s but looking forward to it!
@@UKTransport232 definitely - I really like Networkers though given the rough ride the 230s have had in getting into regular service it will be nice to see them
The class 165 trains that run on the Greenford branch will be replaced and will be moving to Bristol Area👍👍👍❤️

It's a curious little line in London, I love it just for its quirkiness. Haven't been on it for ages tho, so definitely need to revisit one day and use Castle Bar Park as its the only station I haven't used.
It’s strange having these branch lines that operate exclusively in the suburbs, Bromley North line, Romford to Upminster etc.
@somenorthlondoner absolutely, was on the Bromley North Line recently, feels rather underutilised.
Its an interesting line, only intermediate station I've used is South Greenford, I'll hopefully get to Castle Bar Park soon though. Anyways, will feel very different when/if the 230s enter service on the line, so looking forward to that. I agree with you that the line is very quirky! Quite unique in a sense too.
