Today I'm sharing a cost of living crisis hack, how to budget for Christmas gifts using this hamper hack idea! I make a women's / for her hamper and a girls hamper but you can make one for boys, children, baby / babies, men. I use a hamper from poundland and then cheap items from Zadeel.
Save your money! spend less, make an expensive looking high end gift for less! I show you how to shop savvy and score with a hamper costing you under £10!

Liyana you are the sweetest girl thinking of everyone like this. The hampers looked absolutely beautiful what a great idea. If you are on a budget you could get bits all year as you can afford them and do them for birthdays etc too. I remember the ones you did in wire baskets a couple of years ago they were brilliant too, i remember the baby one, that was super cute.

I enjoyed watching you make these. Hampers (or gift baskets as we’d call them in the States) really elevate a bunch of small items into a more impressive gift! I helped my dad put one together this last week for a charity auction and I thought it turned out great. I know the items wouldn’t have received as high a bid if they hadn’t been placed together in the basket.
Oh 💯 % hampers or baskets always make everything look much more expensive! You did good thinking to do it for the charity auction! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi sweet friend! Obviously you know I don’t have a Poundland but it doesn’t matter. I love seeing gift baskets being put together. For a laugh.....in American English a hamper is a laundry basket for dirty laundry! Lol. XOXO❤❤

Don’t buy the hamper sets, they are a rip off. Cardboard box (I save mine all year) and wrap the box in cute wrapping paper. Poundland sell cellophane on a roll (10m) and because it’s on a roll you won’t get the creases. And curling ribbon, mix two colours for a lovely added touch too! If you did want a box, when they do Mother’s Day and father day “beer / garden crates” ect, get them and paint them. Did that one year and my sister in law went to everyone’s house and pinched the create for her bathroom 😂 spend the money on the items inside the hamper, not on the basket. It’s going to get chucked in a cupboard or chucked in the bin. Get one big (ideally cheap) item for the back. Box of chocolates or b and m do a big pack of jelly beans (going off the hampers I’m making this year) if it’s a snack one (great for men) do a massive bag of crisps, like kettle crisps. Takes up loads of space, it’s a bougier item. Candles are also great, I used to get the £25 Yankee gift sets (usually the summer ones as my family wernt to much of a fan for the Christmas ones) and break them up into hampers, add some chocolates and a bath bomb. Step it up with adding a Christmas dec (ideally in the persons tree colours) I always got them in the sales for pennys, it just elevates it a little. And if you have a shredder, off cuts of wrapping paper can be your filling, although mine are normally so stuffed you can’t see any spaces. I normally buy small chocolates, tealights ect to hide gaps.
