    I wish this watch had more no date versions besides just a black on black titanium. different color ceramic or bronze would be cool.

    Non hacking seconds make it a no go for me. I understand that many high horology makers (not that zenith is high horology) do not have hacking seconds, but one of my favorite things is to synch my watches up perfectly with an atomic clock, and see how accurate they are

    Finally… the bracelet! I bought the shadow when it first came out but sold it quite soon after… with the bracelet option I may add it back to the collection. Great review.

    Why they eliminated the useful seconds-track but kept the utterly useless tachymeter scale is beyond me. I really love the look but I can’t get behind a chronograph that doesn’t track seconds.

    Love this watch, never been a fan of the ladder bracelet in pictures though. I guess I'd need to see it in person and wear it to really get a sense of it. I definitely want to get this watch one day.

    I love this watch but is it prone to scratching?

    • @J.Millhouse
      @J.Millhouse Месяц назад

      Not like you would think. The bracelet will probably attract desk diving scratches like most but I've found since the case is pretty small and slim, you hardly ever ding it on anything. Then when scratches do happen they actually look kind of cool since they're still showing a darker metal and the microblasting lends to a more natural transition from the grooves of scratches to the dark finish. It's up to taste, but at this point you can find some examples of "well-worn" shadows that imo still look great. If anything to me the wear makes the watches look more at home in their more industrial skins

    I do however prefer hacking.

      These comments always crack me up. People have been wearing watches without on the fly micro adjustments for decades and never had a problem. Now fast forward to now and people can't survive without it and have to adjust their watch 3 times a day

      @@lonewolfemcquade8133I’m not too bothered either, but with the price of these watches these days it’s pretty lame to not have this function, especially if you live in hot countries or during the summer where wrists do swell a bit.

    It's a beautiful watch but micro blasted is not really a good idea on a watch, micro scratches are not something that you can easily remove with simple hand polishing at home if you decided to do so.

    • @J.Millhouse
      @J.Millhouse Месяц назад

      But it's titanium? You can only really get this color through microblasting or some sort of coating. Name a dark-colored titanium watch where you could fix scratches on the case at home

    • @Touyoujin
      @Touyoujin Месяц назад

      @@J.Millhouse Titanium does not mean that it will not scratch at all, just less likely to get scratched and at the very least, if it's mirror finished, hand polishing at home is still possible to remove hairline scratches but there is no way you can do so with micro blasted finishing, it will require machine to do so. Have you actually watched other review videos of youtubers who actually own it?

    • @J.Millhouse
      @J.Millhouse Месяц назад

      @@Touyoujin I own one actually and it handles scratches really well. I mentioned that it's titanium because titanium is often a darker metal but if you're looking for a watch with this coloring you only have a few options. In fact Titanium is softer than steel so for sure, if you were looking to refinish your own watch then a polished titanium would be a good play. But if that's your concern, then you should probably not look for a dark gray/black watch. I don't think there's a better option than microblasting in this case unless you're going to go ceramic, and that brings extra manufacturing costs and structural drawbacks. So for this result, microblasting is a downsight better than PVD or other such coating

    • @Touyoujin
      @Touyoujin Месяц назад

      @@J.Millhouse So you know, like i said it's a beautiful watch but just not very practical in finishing, unless you like the beat-up look but definitely not for everyone
