His voice isn't gone. It takes your whole body to produce the octave range he has. If his last surgery and physical therapy were successful he will sing like that again. But even with the diminished range he still has heart, soul and passion in every song. I basically have been on this journey with Meat Loaf through the decades. His music has been there for almost every occasion of my adult life. He is definitely a Legend.
he's the greatest I would have tloved to see him in person. When I was little I listened to all his songs. I love him never seen him in concert . Would have loved to also meet him in person. I didn't drink beer or do some of the stuff he did.through his career but. I always shared a lot in common with meatloaf. I have anger issues like meatloaf. I'm thinner then meatloaf was . But I'm very strong like meatloaf
I was born the year this was recorded; he was on tour in support of his just-released "Bat Out of Hell II" album... this is an awesome live version, but seeing recent videos of him singing this makes me very sad, because I can tell he's really struggling and singing it very slowly... I know his voice isn't as strong as it once was, but it's very, very sad. :(

He truly had such an incredible vocal range, it was a very sweet voice full of powerful notes, and it always give you that emotion. It was AWESOME
