Hey man try shaking the drive shaft near the center support bearing. Theyre known to go out on these and especially faster when theyre lifted. Mine was bad, replaced it, along with all 6 u joints and no more vibration car drives like factory new.

Next time will be my third time replacing the center carrier bearing! Definitely a price to pay driving a lifted Toyota. Haven’t had to replace a u joint yet 🤞🏼

Chrome looks better, but it still looks good. And the Heat Gun on the bumper trick is outstanding. I've only heard of using a heat gun to pop out the bumper.
    Nice video.

I am getting ready to do the same replacement on my 98. I also have the same rust on the chrome. Those pieces come off pretty easy with just a few bolts. I'm going to give black Plastidip a try. I also have a similar rattle, but was thinking it came from under the dash. I'll take a look and see how the bushings are doing. Thanks for the video!

Great video! I was literally just about to order a black grill the black background headlights like you have there. I was going to restore the plastic bumper too but I didn’t know a good method. I was gonna just test a few products but after seeing the heat gun method I’m definitely going to use this this in my bumper. This is literally what my truck will look like I have a similar shell and everything lmao. 🙏

That’s awesome haha! Just go slow with the heat and keep that thang moving so it doesn’t burn the plastic. Grille is a piece of cake!

Canada here...great stance! Great project, enjoy fixing the lil things... nice on standard tranny...you love it "eh"?!! Open canvass... rattle- jack up front, grab crowbar, leverage different areas to find rattle, think, is it metal or plastic... ( heat shield)?chrome- 1000 then 2000 then buff with drill n wheel."..it'll come back to full shine, same on rims if you want...(spare tire carrier)...now you can pull prelude to track...(?)!!... big up playa, say hello to the missus...enjoy! One love

You should give “California Customs Purple Polish” a try! I highly recommend that polish… It’s the best Polish I’ve found for any metal and works better than Mothers Polish. You can also get the deoxidizer for really tarnished metal surfaces to put on first and then the Purple Polish on top, works really good! You should give it a try, results may be addictive!

I have a 99 sr5 and it might be your dash thats making that noise. If you push the back of the dash down, were the windshield defrosters are, the noise will go away.

Did you figure out rattle? Is it the brake calipers?
