What I wish I knew at 20 that I now know at 37…….LOVING yourself includes protecting yourself, growing and humility. Also, healing from childhood trauma is POSSIBLE!!! Life really does get better ❤
The harsh truth that I know at 44 that I didnt know in my 20s is girl you dont know anything yet😂 and everyone can't go with you on your life journey and that is okay, everyone you encounter will teach you a life lesson.❤
I’m a grateful 40-something, but if I could tell my 20-something self some advice, I would say to NOT allow useless people to take up residency in your life. It is better to have quality people than random people taking up space. Also, realize when someone’s season in your life has expired.
I'm still in my 20's, but something I wish I knew when I was younger was to stand on my boundaries and be firm about my standards. I am that way now and I hold solid values.
One thing I am learning in my late 30's is that quality outweighs quantity. Everybody you're out here laughing and sharing jokes with are not your friends. Your coworkers are not your friends. I learned that the hard way. Also, not everyone is meant to travel with you throughout your life's journey. Some are there for some seasons, and it's ok.❤😊
Professional success requires emotional control, I like it. Sometimes, I have to shut my lips. Love todays video you have hit on several topics that I'm currently dealing with
I turned 43 last year. One of the things I wish I would have learned is not doing things to impress people because at the end of the day you don't really know what they want. You will always be good enough for you and never good enough for someone else. Meaning the people you are trying to impress always have higher standards for you than they are willing to put for themselves. Focus on you and building the best support system you can have. People that inspire you and less of folks who tire you.
Sometimes, when certain people hate you it has nothing to do with what you. You didn't do them wrong. They are just projecting their negativity onto you.
I wish I knew how to tune out the noise and drama when I was younger. The lesson was that you are o.k. just the way you are and you don't need to believe the hype.
Dr. Nina at 45 I've been going through many of the transitions you speak of here. All I can say is thank you. Talk about confirmation and affirming at the same damn time.
Gotta pause the video at 8:04. The marriage between my parents ended with the death of my dad. And the 'real' work is beginning for my mom. Its hard to see. We all helping her through as best we can. But baybee. End of life planning is no joke.
Hi queen. I wish I could had took my education more serious. From grammar school all the way from culinary school. I regret not graduating from Culinary school because I listening to my first teacher I had and told I was waisting he time because when it came to some of recipes . I had a hard time learning because of the math. Anyway that been my downfall for the longer, when something get hard I give up and try to move on to the next subject. As I got older because I 50 year old I stop listening to all the people who did not believe and that make it hard to believe in myself. So now I just started in cooking again and if if something get hard as for help or take my time and figure it out
One hard truth is following religion will have you being a sacrificial lamb ( and especially people telling you to just forgive while denying your needs and feelings). But following God and seeking the word for yourself will give you a more peaceful life and deter you away from people with ill intentions by setting up healthy boundaries and not feeling guilty about it.
Thank you so much for this video. I agree with so much of what you shared and a lot of it really hit my heart in a good way. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back and tell my 20 something year old anything because she wouldn’t have listened. She didn’t listen and I am paying for some of those mistakes now. But thank you so much for your wise words 🙏🏻♥️
One of things I know at 46 I wish I knew at 26 is you got to make life goals for you not based on what other people think you should do with your life this is something I would tell my 25 year old self
@@BeautifulBrwnBabyDolyes please tell how you maneuver without breaking them to! Mine are growing nicely with my nail techs help and I’m not use to it just broke one.

It's okay to say "No" and not feel guilty about choosing you over friends and family.
Amen to that!

One thing my 39 year old self will tell my 20 year old self would be to truly seek God like fr and not for play and listen to wise counsel.

Don't live your life to please people, be true to yourself and do what you want to do, better yet, do what the LORD commanded you to do.
Amen! Love it sis!

Amen! Because half the people talking are not ok with themselves!
