At 48 years old, I have been married to my husband for 22 years together 30. You must start to know and understand who you are as soon as you get out into the real world so you don't fall for following the herd. The reality is that what you've been told to do is not valid: to be born, go to school, graduate, get married, have a baby, work, live, die. Many of us who did not want children decided not to have children. We have a battle that we fight, and it is a whole different conversation. But the first thing you have to do is learn to accept people how they are where they are, and if you have a real question on why they don't do certain things the way you do, there's a way to say it, and sometimes it's not always pleasant, and sometimes you got to be brutally honest. But taking care of yourself begins in your teens. Waiting until you're 30-35 to try to set boundaries to learn who you are has lost a lot of time. Immediately when you start living life, pay attention and find your people some people won't support you just because of who you are or how you live. Health is an ongoing journey that begins when you're born and continues until death. Please, ladies, get your blood tested and check your hormone levels because that's the first place you will find out what's wrong with you. It could catch a lot of diseases that you don't even know that you have that or not diseases their illnesses that can be corrected if you would just go to the doctor and if you don't have insurance, please don't forget cash is still king. You pay less being a cash patient, and sometimes you do with having insurance. And is somebody who can do both. I choose cash every time.
As a 55+ it is very important. As women our bodies are constantly going through different harmonal changes throughout different stages and factors in life: menstral cycles, pregnancies, postpartum, aging overall, and menopause. And they have different effects on the hair, skin, nails, body, ones mood, overall health and well-being, etc., along with different experiences in life itself. So it is important to pay attention to ones personal needs during these different stages and/or factors of life. Whether it is medical, dietary, ones enviroment, through exercise, loss, etc., as mentioned. And it will be different for everyone so make sure you are receving what you need through these different outlets and common necessities. ❤❤❤
I’m 39 and I just now started a morning routine last month and now it has become a habit. I wake up meditate, make my bed, pray, stretch and lastly workout before starting my day. I now need to create a nighttime routine. Any suggestions anyone?
I love your morning routine! For evenings consider doing something like a wind down routine where you can decompress from the day. That could include journaling, a night devotional, lighting a candle, taking a no rush shower/bath, and skin-care routine, and prayer.
Going through weightloss after children can be emotionally overwhelming to say the least. However, following your content for years made me realize that particular process is so beautiful. The entire process, as traumatic as it is, from conception to rebuilding yourself in every way again is majestic and we’ve been doing it for centuries, making it look easy! I’m blown away!
Definitely needed to see this! I know I need to get back to a healthy balanced daily routine. You’re absolutely right, we thrive off of a routine. Thanks for the video Dr. Nina. 🫶🏽 & Wow!📚 Congratulations on your book!
I do these tests yearly or sometimes semi-annually depending on the results. It used to be annoying and felt like too much, but after almost 17 years I look forward to them.
I want to drop convenience eating! I just be bored and most of the time I don’t need to eat to fill that time. I’ll be 29 this year so I’m locking in these changes.
