Bill Burr has been a working class comedian the whole time. Seeing him realize he does not share many values with these other knobs over the last few years has been great.
He's uncategorisable politically, which is how everyone should be if you ask them what they think. If you actually think things through and have a mind of your own, you're going to have some beliefs that come from all over the political spectrum. And you're going to be the kind of person who can't be easily categorised.
It's stupid that I can ask most people for their opinion on Palestine and instantly know what their opinion will also be about GM crops and climate change and abortion too. It's like they bulk buy their political views in one shopping trip, from one political shop, and then that's it, that's their politics settled forever, that's their thinking done.

Maher was quasi-likable when he focused his vitriol on widely-despised groups like the Christian Right and the Drug War zealots who claimed cannabis was equivalent to crack. But in hindsight, those views were consistent with his true nature as a libertarian atheist weed-smoker. In other words, he embraced what appeared to be leftist positions only on issues that impacted him personally.
But as an untalented, out of touch, and overpaid entertainer, that neoliberalism never led him to care about things like economic or social justice.
This was probably the first time I've laughed at anything coming out of a Bill Maher show. Thanks, Bill Burr, you're amazing.

20% of the population of Israel proper (not the occupied territories) is Arab. All of the Arabs inside Israel (over 2 million) have full citizenship and the rights that go along with it. 100 of them have even been members of the Knesset. If you ask the Arabs in Israel who they want to govern them, they will tell you they like the government the way it is. They have more human rights afforded to them than they would in any Muslim country on Earth. Apartheid? What the fuck are you talking about? Did you hear that buzzword on TikTok?

Honestly, watching anyone put Bill Maher in his place is entertaining.
I usually wouldn't give Maher the satisfaction of a view from me, but I ended up watching this full episode twice. Not only does Bill Burr constantly roast the hell out of Maher, but there's a few times where Bill sings tidbits of Beatles songs and has a surprisingly soothing voice.
Similarly i would not normally give Timcast a view. But still wanna watch the Emma interview

It's very funny to me that there are so many of us who identified with guys like Maher in terms of our 15 year old Atheism, but many of those guys have never moved beyond that initial rejection of authority.
