It has taken me many years to reach a point where I would allow anyone to take care of me. Learning how to graciously receive has been a game changer.
At the age of 40, I went back to school to become a Surgical Technologist! I’ll be done in June of this year and I’m so excited! I started my clinical rotations about 3 weeks ago and it’s been great so far!

I take myself on solo dates and turn them into weekend staycations. I just come from a weekend where I booked myself into a riverside airbnb, got dressed up and watched a theater musical on Saturday and found a nice corner at a quiet coffee shop and had a cake and coffee this morning after check out and read a few pages from this month's bookclub read. Also... it's Sunday 5pm in South Africa and I'm currently doing my weekly meal prep 😊 And you've helped me ALOT, in becoming this girl Im becoming and I love her. This year I’ve started journaling again, something I haven’t done since I was a teenager, I am about to be 42. I stopped journaling because a family member read my journal and joked about its content, I really think I was traumatized by the incident. I started writing recently and I felt such mixed emotions but I am so proud to be confronting this seemingly insignificant insecurity.
Journaling has carried me through many tough and lonely times. I tell people that I don’t know how I feel about something until I write it down. Journaling has a wonderful way of relaxing my mind enough to let my real thoughts and emotions surface. I’m so glad you rediscovered it 💕
Your journal shouldn't make sense to anyone but to you coz it's you who feels those emotions.. dont be traumatized just keep writing those emotions on a paper
I became a mom at age 39 to a beautiful daughter. Also, at age 14, i took it upon myself to study and learn Spanish on my own and I mastered it fluently by practicing with native speakers, reading books and watching programs.

This may sound small or ordinary to some people, but at 24 I decided to stop pursuing an arts degree, despite that being my talent and area I’ve existed in since I was young. Yet, I have had a dream since I was young of being a biologist. I looked up to great scientists and researchers, but I thought I couldn’t do it because my math skills aren’t at the top of my skills list. But I’m very good at biology, at the experiments and the knowledge required. So I did it, I started pursuing a bachelor’s in science. And now I’m two years in, and even though I feel fear all the time when I have to do math, I now know that this is my path.
3 months no drinking and my skin is starting to clear. It could also be because I feel less lazy and less depressed now that I am sober, so I actually try to care for my skin, but I’m excited, ladies! 🎉
I have completely changed my life thanks to TFU. I went from a wall flower to center stage (actually it turned out to be more of a "who the hell do you think you are" type of vibe but I am good with it). The hobby I am taking up this year is I am going to start beauty school and learn to do skin and nails. The goal for this year is to name my price, move in silence and leisurely hustle my way into something new. I will tell you TFU family I had to make a hard decision last week. I broke up with my bf. While I love him I want to be married and he was talking about moving in. No thank you-I am not that woman so I let him go. The breakup was hard but regret and settling would be harder. Maybe that is what I am proud of.
I’m making better food choices, and exercising. I’m losing weight and it feels so good. I’ve also been working on my tone and how I communicate with people and I can see a difference in how people are reacting to me. I am a work in progress and a masterpiece at the same time. So I aligned myself with a great man who is now essentially my big brother, he taught me most of what I know. Because I aligned myself with him, I am now free from an eight year toxic narc friendship that nearly killed me emotionally and spiritually. I am now applying to go back to school again for a masters in a field I never expected due to the encouragement of my big brother! I’m super excited and I can’t wait to see what God will do with it!

All of this seemed so far away 3-5 years ago after having my third back surgery which fused my L5-S1 lumbar spine at the age of 23. I'm most proud of getting unstuck. Things were good but not great. I realized it was internal and re-framing my mindset has made all the difference. I'm just so much more intentional. Ironically enough, earlier this afternoon, I had a moment where someone may have felt I was putting them down because I was sharing what’s a red flag to me. This woman and her partner had tackled about $50k of debt together. While that’s super commendable, I felt having that much debt going into a rship is a huge red flag. It screams undisciplined. I have worked extremely hard to eliminate debt in my life and I can’t tolerate someone who’s careless with spending. I felt the energy shift when we were talking and apologized if I offended her. This may sound small or ordinary to some people, but at 24 I decided to stop pursuing an arts degree, despite that being my talent and area I’ve existed in since I was young. Yet, I have had a dream since I was young of being a biologist. I looked up to great scientists and researchers, but I thought I couldn’t do it because my math skills aren’t at the top of my skills list. But I’m very good at biology, at the experiments and the knowledge required. So I did it, I started pursuing a bachelor’s in science. And now I’m two years in, and even though I feel fear all the time when I have to do math, I now know that this is my path.

I have completely changed my life thanks to TFU. I went from a wall flower to center stage (actually it turned out to be more of a "who the hell do you think you are" type of vibe but I am good with it). The hobby I am taking up this year is I am going to start beauty school and learn to do skin and nails. The goal for this year is to name my price, move in silence and leisurely hustle my way into something new. I will tell you TFU family I had to make a hard decision last week. I broke up with my bf. While I love him I want to be married and he was talking about moving in. No thank you-I am not that woman so I let him go. The breakup was hard but regret and settling would be harder. Maybe that is what I am proud of.

So I aligned myself with a great man who is now essentially my big brother, he taught me most of what I know. Because I aligned myself with him, I am now free from an eight year toxic narc friendship that nearly killed me emotionally and spiritually. I am now applying to go back to school again for a masters in a field I never expected due to the encouragement of my big brother! I’m super excited and I can’t wait to see what God will do with it!

I landed a nice corporate job after years of doing shift work (12s, nights, lots of OT). All of this seemed so far away 3-5 years ago after having my third back surgery which fused my L5-S1 lumbar spine at the age of 23. I will be 28 in April and I feel like a whole different person because my mindset shifted which allowed everything else to follow! Thank you for the words of motivation! I love your content 💖
I'm most proud of getting unstuck. Things were good but not great. I realized it was internal and re-framing my mindset has made all the difference. I'm just so much more intentional. Your channel has been a big part of that!! I've lost the 10lbs since your fitness video. I dress better and feel confident instead of awkward when people compliment me. I'm practicing intermittent fasting and earning 10% more each year. I'm taking supplements daily and setting more boundaries at work. Im trying to delegate, speak up more and be a better communicator. I try to be more honest, humble, and a team player. I try to volunteer at least twice a week and being alright with declining events for church without feeling guilty. I attempt to follow Jesus and pray daily. I try to go to bed and rise earlier. I try to worry less about finances and more about being righteous with God. I try to read more and practice affirmations.

I finally became more selfish with regard to investing in myself. I set boundaries so that I can pray, rest, do skincare, cook, and other things that are helping me morph into the woman I want to be without feeling guilty for doing so.
5 years ago I felt very nervous and excited to join a big organization that would pay me to be their face in the artistic and entertainment way. I failed the first time I tried. It took me a year to prepare and go for it again. I went for tree month to Peru, worked as a volunteer and enjoyed MY own company😍 I learnd to do what makes me happy, to Listen to my innerhalb voice. Ironically enough, earlier this afternoon, I had a moment where someone may have felt I was putting them down because I was sharing what’s a red flag to me. This woman and her partner had tackled about $50k of debt together. While that’s super commendable, I felt having that much debt going into a rship is a huge red flag. It screams undisciplined. I have worked extremely hard to eliminate debt in my life and I can’t tolerate someone who’s careless with spending. I felt the energy shift when we were talking and apologized if I offended her.
