I really liked those shots where the camera was sitting on various parts of the vehicle while you swung out the tire, opened the hatch, slid out the fridge, etc. I've never seen anyone else do that step-by-step so meticulously. You have a talent of putting the viewers smack dab in the action, without any shocking cuts. It makes it feel like we are actually there, participating in your every move.
My wife and I got a chuckle out of the Arby’s scene. We too have had the “too much Arby’s Sauce and no napkins” experience! I enjoy watching your experiences!
Love your videos....the interactions between Sarah, Caroline, and yourself are what really set your videos apart from the thousands of other channels about overlanding that all tend to look the same.
I am so glad you mentioned the trash. I just spent 4 days in Custer-Gallatin NF and found only 2 pieces of trash. A small candy wrapper and a half box of Chips-Ahoy. I think the message is getting out there! Unfortunately, it hasn’t reached MN yet. Our public lands are a mess. Thanks for all you do.
I really enjoyed some of your different camera angles and transitions. The shot of the drone going up around 6:30 was incredible. Awesome camera work between the two of you!
So the story within the story...yes, quite apparent. What a time, only wish I was there to learn some new tricks and meet some great folks. Thanks for another great episode
I love these little places you show us. The fig may be cold and damp, it might not be good for filming, and I'd rather not drive in it but it sure is pretty.
About the tent - backpacker advice, no matter a $99 or $4K tent set it up and "seam grip" each seam and test it with hose or sprinklers (wear available) water at home. Been doing this for decades. It may not be the prettiest PM care but will keep you dry. Now overlanding has a little less risk if weather gets you than backpacking but seemed like a good platform to share.
That would work if it was an exposed seam but that tape prevents the sealant from entering the stitches. You might get a bit better tape-to-canvas bond but with those voids behind it water will just gather and start to mold/mildew with no way to escape.
Woooow, soooo coool you!!!! Here is Alisa from Keecowsocks ( We producing sport socks for skiing/hiking/running/working). Want to support you some good socks for your fantastic journey!!!!
Man I would love to take my camper special (overland power wagon) on a trip with either one of you guys. Hopefully you'll have a patrion trip some day! Great content 👍 thanks for what you do.
Love the video, especially Jason finding a hammer. Anyway, I'm wondering if you moved your backup camera when you added the swing arm with the spare tire, or if you just ignore it with the tire in the way? If you moved it, what kit did you use?
I previously had it relocated to the swing arm with the SSO rear bumper. I haven't had the chance to fabricate a new spot with the fresh AFN bumpers though. I prefer my mirrors anyhow, lol
Just curious have you got your ftm400 hooked to you iPad or is it stand alone. Recent trip to NC I was watching the elevation change with mine. I do keep my aprs on and watch to see who is around. I'm wanting to hook up an iPad I have here and view the map as well. I have the blue tooth set up for a hands free ear piece.
Love watching your content. Great narration and music. What music do you use? Do you have to pay to use the music? My wife was just commenting how the music you use is always perfect for the scenes. You truely are gifted with how you put these together.
Thanks! Yes, we pay for a couple premium services like musicbed.com and artist.io to use licensed (and better) music than the free stuff out there. Makes a huge difference.
Honest thoughts....I too have a 5th gen 4runner and am debating between a full rear bumper or the RIGD hitch system like Jason has. Any pro vs con advice here? Been following you forever and appreciate your candid and transparent advise!
Like from me!👍🏻 We follow your travels! Greetings from car lovers TOYOTA club from the Crimea!❤ please tell me what action selfie camera do you shoot your videos with?
We found a big drop down receiver that I sold at auction for 85 bucks. But a couple days ago I went down a little dirt road and turned around and I met a truck/trailer and on my way back out there was a 2 inch strap with ratchet looke brand new. It had to fallen off that truck I met coming in
As a lifelong fisherman I can not understand why u guys don’t do any fishing. I don’t want any political rants back but the way it’s set up now is if u get caught fishing with out a fishing license u get in more trouble than crossing the border illegally (in to the USA)

Thanks so much for noticing that. That's what's so fun about running with other film makers; it's inspiring to try fresh stuff!

That's so exciting to hear!!

I like seeing that big Ram out on the trails.
2nd that sir
I love the candid chat! Trials and tribulations of YT! I’m only a amateur but I feel your pain!
What a fantastic series! Thank you for bringing us along. I really appreciated the creative camera angles and editing. Thank you again! Safe travels!!
Its fun to recognize some minor two track from my past trips in this video

Once again another stunning and gorgeous video! Just spectacular the places you go, but your videography is wonderful as well. Thank you for sharing!

Amazing video guys. Love the Overland and cinematography and content
Great ride and camera work. Thanks again!!!
I really enjoyed seeing you two guys together. Another epic video.

Love the collaborations with Jason!!
Safe travels and keep doing a great job!!
Always a good time with Jason!
A fun warp up to a nice trip :) So glad the only 'trash' you found was tools! ha :) Looking forward to the next one
Definitely a "rewarding" trip! Thanks for riding along!
Great filming and stunning views as always from you guys.
Wish I knew where that waterfall was. We love the San Juans
I liked the shot that made it look like you tossed the drone into the air. You should make that a signature shot in every video!
This video made my heart whole
Getting my 🍿 ready.
Whooohooo! Love some popcorn!
I love the videos men!! I love to see the two different size overland rigs!! Im honestly thinking about getting a Power Wagon now!!
You still making good use of that King Camp bamboo table? Love mine!
Awesome footage, looks fun!
Another great video. We can't wait to go to Colorado. Planning on next summer. 🤙
6.40, great song.
Totally love all of your videos. Nothing more to be said. You rock

I love this!!!
How necessary is a 4runner lift? Going to try a stock TRD off-road 4runner with just good skid plates underneath and good off-road tires…

Lets goo!!!!!!
why did you switch from ikamper (older videos) to roofnest (recent video). i'm in the market and looking at both. any suggestions, help appreciated.
Awesome 👍👍👍
Sooooo did Roof Nest offer a warranty repair on the water leak/breach???
Just got word they're sending me a whole new canvas. (Tried to just send me sealant to which I politely declined.)

What was the name of that air system? The part that had the automatic guage
Yay!

Which one is the centerunit on your 4runner ?
I know your pain Kevin. I bought a Roofnest as well believing they were quality made. My Condor XL has been a major disappointment.
Been hearing a lot of complaints on this. Sorry to hear that! Love the configuration but the details are missing.

I noticed your tires were looking a little flat, is that intentional?
Cool dudes
I Wonder how much snow is on this trail now.
Couple feet from what I heard!

What would the RUclips experience be without Trolls?
I'm not sure I want to live in that world.
Bueno vista creek.
What brand and style tire do u run on ur 4Runner?
We're currently running Mickey Thompson Baja Legends. One of the best so far. We also like BFG KO2's, Falken Wildpeak MTs, and Cooper STT Pros.
I love finding tools
Right? So handy! What's the best one you've snagged?

Oh yea that receiver we found we was on our bicycles and I put it in a safe spot and brought the car back to get that heavy sucker
Nice video but to be honest I like the ones with Sara cooking better.
Any rooftop tent that expensive better be Hilleberg level quality. To not be is a major failure.
👍
