Should've panned to the ceiling, would've brought the video to new heights, keep flying though! love the vids you'll be on a plane to the top in no time
I know you already commented about the Azamina engine in the video. What do you think of @CultofOtaku Fiendsmith Azamina Chimera Deck? Is it still not worth it? Summoning the Diabellze for free and getting into Desirae more easily, and of course the omni negate from Silvera. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I think if I were to try and build chimera and fit everything, my build would look pretty different from his. Personally, I really don't think the azamina cards are good in chimera right now because there is quite literally no synergy other than the typing and I would rather just have anything else in my main deck. Chimera already wins majority of the time going first so it doesn't really make sense to me to lean even heavier into a t1 board. Maybe that changes over time with more support cards but just looking at the deck from a post rota perspective I wouldn't take it to a tournament
Not likely. There really isn't any synergy with chimera other than the illusion typing. Its not worth cutting cards from the already extremely tight extra deck for imo
Hey ggGio, in the video you guys talk about how you do not need more than one big-winged, but the lists you show has two of them still. did you change your mind later or?
@@aybarskoc8017 I had some different versions of lists I was toying with up that had 2 big wing. Personally I go back and forth on playing 1 or 2. I think it’s just a mental adjustment you have to get used to (how many you play) and typically will side one out in games anyways if I play 2. I really enjoy having both copies in my deck but I think it’s probably most correct to only be on one
@@ggGio yeah fair, I am also on 1 now and I havent looked back. fiendsmith version is not dependent on berfomet resolving as much as the other version are
I think its a bit overkill in chimera because you generally aren't fusing for des irae. If thats part of your game plan then its definitely worth including but you're almost always fusing for aerial eater or berfomet in this deck, so the extra light fiend body doesn't do a ton (it can be neat for making a chaos angel though!)
How important do you think it is you play dark fusion? It feels like im rarely to ever in a position where I can/need to search for adusted gold to grab it
Definitely a cuttable card for sure. I don't play it in my newest list. I did miss it a bit over the weekend but thats only because I kept hard drawing the adusted gold. Its nice for playing into boards sometimes but definitely not mandatory by any means. Its a bit more realistic to play if you play diabolica since you can add back the gold to search it after combo'ing but thats more of a niche thing you can do
Why aren't you playing a small Yubel Engine? 3 field spell 1 Spirit and 1 OG Yubel. You can fusion with the fiends etc. Making Phantom is too strong right now.
I have a 50 card variant I've been toying around with that uses this. Its a lot of fun and very strong for sure, its just tough playing into boards if you draw 1 of the 2 brick yubels so if you're trying to maximize playability and consistency its hard to justify. Its a crazy strong tech with chimera though being able to make the phantom over and over again
There's a decklist in the description with most of the cards we mentioned in the video, with the exception of silhouhatte rabbit and the target, angel statue - azurune
Some hands it can be pretty tough to play through droll for sure. Tough to include crossout though because it means you also have to find room for the crossout targets. Going first, if you side thrusts and get drolled, you can thrust for a turn skip trap (dbarrier, different dimension ground, etc) and try again on the follow up
@@ggGio as I kept watching the video I realized thrust is a good option but would that just be a good option to side in or is it just better to main the thrusts?
@@rred1023 I think its better as a side option. Nightfall mentioned siding out some fiendsmith stuff and cards like diabellze/diabolica for the thrusts when you go second and you take out cards like dark ruler/droplet when you go first for it. The targets vary so its very matchup dependant
🐐
Amazing video man. Love the questions brought to the table and seeing nightfall combo with the deck is insane.
Yeah every time I think I have this deck down pat I'm shown something new. Gotta love Chimera
Wow amazing content, I learned so much, I feel ready for YCS Niagara!!
side events won't know who hit em
Just a bunch of 🐐's

Check the description ;)

are you adding azamina when it comes out?

What do you guys think about making Lyna the charmer as a light spell caster to go into the azamina fusions
Really hard to find the extra deck space for the azamina stuff already as it is, probably too hard to fit a lyna in as well tbh

Is it worth playing crossout in the main or in the side? I got hit with droll and it was nearly unplayable.
