With mine, i started in DIY very early. I had severe migraine sickness. I was a simple person and did ok. Thank you wife, 34 years together and she saved my life. I woke her up have a stroke at Midnight 11/29/22 and thank you for teach people like me and us. I learned that every stroke is different and my depression is getting very light on my back.

THIS info is what I've been asking for for 3 years! It's been 3 years since my stroke & I have never understood why there has been no contact/support from my medical team. If stroke is a leading cause of disbility & death in this country why is there no information like your Post Stroke info distributed to survivors? Thank you so much for your informative videos. Very helpful!

Because nobody cares. That's this country's motto, practically.

One of the things I learned as insurance kicked in was that I had the opportunity to start therapy again. It didn't last long, but it gave me the opportunity to have a "sanity check" and compare my progress and goals with those of a trained professional. It helped me a lot.
Thanks again for your valuable assistance, Elise! ❤

You CAN get more every year. It's not like immediately following the stroke, BUT, it's consistent.

I incorporated doing things around the house, like sweeping under the dining room table, or straightening up my living room as exercise because I use my affected right side to hold things, move things(light items) and feel like I accomplished something for the day. The post stroke tiredness is a challenge, but I do what I can. My goal is to be able to drive again, because I live in a city where you have to drive, no buses go where I live. My vision was affected by the stroke, and currently getting used to prism lenses. I love watching your videos, and want to support this channel. How do I do that? I'm in the United States.

I have been doing my own therapy thanks to the material I was given and your older videos. Yes it does get better but you need to be patience with yourself. For me safety is always number 1. I am now able to got outside and muck about with my organic fruit plants. I am getting raspberries right now, and next season I want to grow sugar baby watermelon * Yes REAL watermelon* not that red cucumber you get in the shops. I have time to get ready for that. Its a mid range goal for me. Baby steps, little bit by little bit. I breakdown all my tasks into small steps. I plan out what I am going to do. I am a neat freak. I love thins neat and tidy, and things put away in the right places.

What's helped me the most was aneight foot fall onto a concrete pad. That was six months into my stroke recovery . After an xray and cat scan to see what I did or didn't break or tear the next three weeks of sharp pain upon the slightest movement was an incredible teacher. Imagine your stroke therapist with a cattle prod using it to get their message across. And being sadistic. My body quickly gained back perfect balance. Pain taught me in dayswhat I had previous decided was going to take months to years to learn. 😂

Thank you so much. You covered all the things I wish a lot of people understood when it comes to the success of your recovery. I'm almost six years in recovery and outside of the two days of therapy I started off getting I realized you have therapy two days but have you everyday. I hit that plateau. But I recently started back PT and OT to fine tune what I've been doing and my brain is firing off and adapting so well. I take the new techniques in learning home practice throughout the week, combine exercises and actually reward myself. Funny enough my reward is two scoops of chocolate cherry ice cream, or I go do something social or play the game. But thank you so much for this information. Your love, care, and being awesome. It's been blessing my life the past few years👊🏿🫡😁 Still going strong!
