    • @PostStrokeOrg
      @PostStrokeOrg  2 года назад

      I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you both are doing well! You may want to ask his doctor about something called orthostatic hypotension which is when blood pressure drops with position changes (sitting up, standing, etc). It can cause dizziness when standing and walking. But best to consult with the doctor to see what the best plan of action is for treatment!

    Thank you for this video! After doing the sensory reeducation daily for a couple months with a stroke survivor, he no longer has numbness and tingling in his affected arm! @@wendibat yes I saw that you didn't get a reply. I'm sorry to see that.
      Did he really get feeling back after a couple months? May I ask what you did exactly? Right not I'm brushing my arm with a doctor's bright and a soft cloth and sometimes something rough. Did you use vibration at all or hot and cold as well?
      I'm desperate to get sensation back. Mines numb no tingling.
      I'm e 3months after mine.

    • @wendibat
      @wendibat 9 дней назад

      @@ValerieJupe his was numb too, but mostly tingling. We did not do anything with temperature or vibration. A few times a week we had him find objects in rice without looking and try to describe, though we stopped this after a few weeks because he wasn't interested in doing it. But the main thing we did most consistenly was to take a variety of different fabrics from soft to more rough. He wouldn't let us do anything much rougher than that, but we gently rubbed his arm and hand for about 20 minutes a day every day. We asked him to rate the tingling every morning when he woke up, and slowly over several months it went down until he didn't have tingling or numbness anymore.

    I had two strokes a few weeks ago. I don’t really have anything on the outside of my body wrong. I have numbness in my hand face and thigh and foot. It’s annoying yes. I can move my hand a foot normal.
    However when I touch something with my hand. It burns.
    It doesn’t make sense why it burns. My hand and feel swollen.
    I’m lucky every works right. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

    • @PostStrokeOrg
      @PostStrokeOrg  2 года назад +3

      @bigd, Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry to hear about your strokes and hope that you are doing okay. Numbness, burning, and tingling are often a sign of nerve issues. That may be due to your strokes and difficulty with nerve communication between brain and body. My recommendation would be to follow up with a neurologist about your symptoms if you have access to one!

    tried and moved it sorry about my speech. Anyway Now I can move my arm, but I couldn’t feel my arm now I can feel it I can feel hot and cold and I can feel pressure all the way down my arm it seems like it’s coming from the top all the way down I can feel pressure on my fingers it’s been six months, I know you can’t tell me if I’m going to get any better but what do you think because it’s just getting better and better but a lot of the time when I read about it they said it’s slows down after 3 to 6 months. What do you think and thank you so much😁
