Marcus Rashford is not expected to be named in Gareth Southgate's provisional England squad, Sky Sports News understands.
The Manchester United forward has scored just eight times this season across all competitions and has also suffered several injuries throughout the campaign.

His touch is immaculate, his passing is so underrated (it just isn’t spoke about) and his finishing is world class. This kid can do it all. Absolute baller!! Maguire, Shaw and Mainoo were average this season but are in the provisional squad. But I doubt either will make it to the Euros. Could be the first squad that I can recall that won't have Man Utd players if they don't make it.

I called it just over a month ago, when people were claiming that Rashford is Southgate's favourite player and that he always picks him because he often plays well for England:

Definitely one of Southgate's more wise decisions. Rashford has been absolutely terrible all season. Hopefully it'll give him a good kick up the arse to actually perform far more frequently for United next season
why is it such a big deal? there are loads of players that shouldn't be played... Rashford isn't being played because we have players that are really talented such as Foden why would we need an off form Rashford for a Foden who is on the best form of his life … I don't know why we play Maguire if I'm honest people say well he played decent ok. if we want to win a tournament we have to be the BEST not just decent. Maguires time passed a long time ago. the problem with Maguire in our system is we are playing a really high press and if we do get counter attacked we are done for because Maguire is really slow simple same goes with john stones he isn't bad but he isn't like wow he is amazing hence why city now play Gvardial and Ake 99% of the time now. we are relying on walker to control the defence. like why are we playing Luke shaw? it makes 0 sense he is not even playing for united because he was that bad. they play Malacia I think the whole England squad needs a rework the tactics and the way our team has been setup is likely going to give us our worst exit ever.
