I just realized that I never answered the question. No, they are not going to shut down public (outlaw) access to the dam. That answer came directly from the property owner and his son.
Yes, and it's beautiful. I didn't film the trail because it's super easy, but this video starts off of 13 just down from there. So far Rock House is one of my favorites. Can't wait to hit more systems.
@@ColoradoDualSport Possibly! I need to grab a 4x4 first which I'm planning on doing soon.. The sport ATVs definitely aren't the best way too lay down miles out there..
@@ColoradoDualSport Yeah I'm gonna do a KingQuad. Me and Brian use Cardo's on the bikes but we don't normally put them in our MX helmets just because they're a pain in the butt to swap over.. Might be nice to have them on an HM ride though!
@@DirtObseXXion Very true. I think you can buy the helmet kits much cheaper then the entire unit though, so might be something to consider. I use my Dual Sport helmet for everything, so it's always there. I can't stand goggles, so I stick with my Icon Variant. I'm surprised that Brian got the Grizzly and not the other way around.
You could run that whole trail in 2Hi, your grizzly has lower gearing by 6% than 2018 grizzly. I could see low 4 if going down a steep hill or up a very steep hill but you really don't need 4lo unless in thick mud or to crawl thru rocks or technical situations. I hardly ever put my grizzly in lo or use 4wd unless it's bad and have no problems 😊
Running in 4 all the time is not good on dry ground or black top, I have an old 2001 Arctic Kat 400 that is full time 4 and I have gone through so many wheel bearing I lost count , plus it puts alot of strain on the front axle joints. My 2021 Polaris has the auto 4x or ya can flip the switch and stay in 2w. Use 4x when ya need to but ya should leave it in 2w till ya need it.
do u meet up with people? I'm over in Ohio. wanting to go hit some nice trails. didn't know if you meet up with people to do rides or not. let me know. I shot ya a dm on Instagram
Hey man, yeah I'm always interested in a good ride. Unfortunately Allegheny is closed after this weekend, so that only leaves the pay to play places in PA. I'd like to get one more HMT trip in when the leaves fall this year though. No plans yet, but my buddy just got a Kodiak 700 so we're both motivated.
Where about in OH are you? Oh and I forgot to mention, I don't use the CDS Instagram account. Best way to find me outside of RUclips is the Facebook page linked in the description.
Low range in most brands protects your belt during slow running or hard going such as mud or rock climbing. With the Yamaha belt system you really don’t need to protect the belt on hard pack trails no matter how steep as long as you are not crawling. Feel free to run 4 wheel drive open diff any time you wish. No negative effects at all. I switched to Yamaha because their clutches are so easy on belts they have a 10 year limited warranty. The competition is curb and got it. Your belt.

It'd look awesome in a set of Maxxis Bighorns.
Edit: sedona rip saws also came into mind.
The waterfall off of trail 13 is probably one of the most visited spots on the Rockhouse. My wife and I are going in less than 2 weeks.

Oh yeah, I need to get back out there on a 4x4!!!
Absolutely! I'm thinking about one more trip after the leaves fall. You guys in?

Right on! You were thinking about the King Quad 750 right? Do you guys use Cardo units?

We've done 3 of the trail systems in Hatfield & McCoy but have not been to Rock House yet. We need to check this one out
Staying in the middle of Devil Anse is a great way to hit 3 in one shot. Granted it's long days, but I'm fine with putting in mileage.

Good advice, thanks man. These 4WDs are a whole new world. So far I'm very impressed with the Grizzly though.
