Destroy and Recycle-Destruction for Production

This is quite a mixed bag of clips from my working days in the yard. I’ve not bothered posting to social media for a couple of months so this is my first post here for a while. These are mostly shortish clips made for Instagram, as usual, so not necessarily particularly joined up.
We have our DAF tipping loads, the Copex 1000 tonne shear baler shearing heavy steel, which it does very well. There’s footage of the Sennebogen 825E with magnet loading a bulk tipper with steel, we use the magnet to clear the small at the bottom of the pile that the grab can’t easily pick up. There’s usually someone who tells me that it would be faster to load with a grab….well yes, and if we can we do, and after 50 odd years I don’t appreciate being told how to do my job, the magnet has its palce. The eagle eyed amongst you might spot that it’s a new magnet hanging from the 825, I ordered it when the new 825 arrived in February but it only arrived in October, it’s another 55” magnet but one with a cast steel case this time rather than a fabricated case, like we always used to use.
We move onto large shredders and hoppers being unloaded then crushed and sheared, I used the four tonne ball to reduce them so that I could feed them into the Copex with my 835. A short clip of my 835 warming up in the dark, I start her up at 6.50am ready for the first wagons arriving to load, it’s not much fun up here in this sort of weather but we get a lot of it. There’s a 360 degree view from my Sennebogen 835 on a very foggy morning. There are more clips of the 825 and magnet working, look closely at one and you’ll see that it looks almost like new after I spent a couple of hours cleaning it.
I made some footage from my cab as I loaded bales into a bulk tipper for transportation to Liverpool docks. Towards the end there are some clips of us baling cars. That’s about it I think.

I have a question: do you have payload scales in both of your Sennebogen (like Ascorel or Loadrite) for loading the lorries? Thank you for your videos, greetings from a loader operator in a rock quarry in the north east of France.

no weigher but the wagons have weighers, I'm pretty accurate with my guesses though, sometimes more accurate than the truck weigher. We have a weigher on the Case loading shovel.

@@luke_mma_love it’s the boom cylinder pressure warning, a sort of overload device that beeps with every bounce of the boom, until I remember to turn it off
