This whole fiasco made me realise how easy it is for the UFC to muddy the waters around a fighter and how easily fans lap it up and turn on them.

The UFC is not above corporate astroturfing either, so many paid trolls bashing Francis and defending the UFC without responding to anyone who counters them. These same trolls were absent when Francis beat Ciryl, and only came back after Francis left the UFC.

The president of the ufc hit his wife. Still has a job, no charges. Does a man who would strike any woman, let alone his wife, bashing someone for not letting him get his way surprise you? Dfw has always been a POS bully, I was fine that. Don't hit woman than call a real man like Francis scared of anyone. Dfw is a punk.

Dana came up with an excuse not to be in the cage when Ngannou beat Cyril in order to put the belt around him. Didn’t show up at the presser either. Avoided Francis. Francis reached out to Dana regarding negotiations, and Dana didn’t respond.
Dana doesn’t like Francis because Dana can’t bully and intimidate Francis, like he does with other fighters. I guess it takes being the BMOTP to stand strong against the most powerful forces in MMA. All respect to Francis. I hope he, Kamaru, and Israel, end up creating their own fight promotion. The business doesn’t belong to the fighters. It belongs to the promotion. Fighters are paid by the numbers that they bring in. Why do you think mcgregor made so much in the ufc. He generated money. Ngannou is not a huge star in mma. He doesn’t bring in as many eyes as someone like mcgregor.

Or health insurance.
Anyways, the Ufc's time is coming up soon. Everybody is beginning to realize there's more to everything than UFC. It may take 10 or 15 years but the monopoly the UFC has on the fight business will weaken.

Another thing that kind of bugs me is how unappreciated his perfomance over Gane really was. If you had asked any MMA expert what the chances of Francis wrestling his way to a 5 rnd decision victory, they would've said "impossible." Let's be honest about this, that's what fans like me would've said too. But Francis is a man who accomplishes things that seem impossible, and everyone calling him a fool for not taking that 24 million contract (primarily because the UFC refused to change pay and insurance for ALL FIGHTERS, as well as refusing to put a price tag on his principles) remember that.

Francis is probably the only man in the ufc who could do this. A huge beast of a man, champion with a good back story. I don’t care how good you are you have to be a heavy weight to do what he did and succeed. The ufc is the prime organization and the most primal beast is goin else where and many people fill follow. The only other man I can see who has this kind of star power and prestige is John Jones. That why the ufc is desperate to get him in there again because once he wins the title he will be recognized as the baddest man on the planet. Johns back story is not quite as intriguing as francises but being one of the youngest champions who has never lost a fight over a decade speaks volumes. John is the secret weapon of the ufc and it was even hard bringing him back. This is a tale of 2 destiny’s in which once can be wounded. If John wins Francis will lose a lot of prestige but if John losses Francis star power will be even greater. The worst part of this situation is we will never see them fight each other in there prime which is unforgivable. The fight between John and Francis is something that should’ve happened no matter the cost. Even a one fight deal would’ve probably made the ufc the most money ever in my opinion. I’m talking Conor Floyd type of money.
