I am a Black American Freedmen who is a descendant if US Chattel Slavery. My ancestors were here during the colonial period. Just to give you context. The 14th amendment intentionally was written only for emancipated slaves in the USA to grant them full citizenship. It was never written for foreigners to use so their children born in this country could have citizenship and for them to get citizenship through their children. It was never used in that way untill there was a case brought to the US Supreme Court by a Chinese man who was fighting for citizenship because he was born here despite his parents were foreign born. The court ruled in his favor, and that's how the 14th amendment started being applied to children of foreign born nationals who jad children in the USA. The 13th, 14th, and 15 th amendment were all strictly intended for my ethnic group, American Freedmen. Other groups have used these amendments for their own purposes.

@jacklyneverage3881 Well said, thank you. Now, after you have educated these people I pray that they will be respectful of our ancestors and deport themselves, it is disrespectful to our ancestors Blood Sweat and Tears to have these foreigners disrespectful their legacy and inturn come to this country and degrade their dependents as if we are garbage and they are the dependents of former slaves, I have absolutely no respect for any of these people, especially the women who come to this country to purposely squat and dump babies on American soil. They have destroyed all of the work of the civil rights movement with their behavior and their votes. Just go home, please. I'm concerned that their behavior towards the Black Americans will eventually cause a civil war. Whites don't want them here, and now Black Americans don't want them in our country. In this 2024 election , I opened our eyes. These people voted they way they did, out of greed, no consideration for the battles and wars that our ancestors had to fight just for our basic rights, many of them have no pride nor dignity. They have opened the doors to fear, worry, and anxiety for everyone. Please deport yourselves.

The slaves means carribean and belize which is part of Mexico because at the time all slave was coming to the north through carribean. Also remember that is the carribean slaves from Jamaica and Haiti freed North America from the French napoleon. So we must remember how America was formed.

@bezil558 That exactly what he is doing is protecting my people's lineage in America. We are still classified as American Negroes in certain regions mostly in the deep south. The White Nationalist has stated that if you are not an American Negro lineage of the deep south regions or Native American, that you are considered a foreigner to this country. Africans and Chinese were banned in the original constitution and Blacks are descendants of Black Caribbeans. Do you see the problem here? My people's lineage of 14.4 million in America needs protection just like the Native American got. My people were deemed the land aka property by the Dred Scott ruling called American Negroes Congau. If my lineage get mixed out their would be no more America the land aka property but a foreign entity or league of nations. If we, the American Negroes Congau are the same as Blacks or Africans, why did they need the Civil Rights to revised immigration laws in order for them to be here in 1965? We are not the same people!

The portion of the amendment that reads “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” addressed the chance of children born in the United States to parents of foreigners (i.e.: modern day tourists) or those who belonged to the families of ambassadors, family members or other foreign dignitaries while in the US. The phrase was purposely intended to exclude those born on US soil from automatic citizenship when an allegiance to the United States was not complete. Those infants were still subject to the jurisdiction of their home country and were still citizens thereof. There was no question as to whether the US was claiming them as a citizen.
The phrase carries no less meaning now than it did in 1868. The correct interpretation of the 14th Amendment is that an illegal alien mother is NOT American. Therefore, she is subject to the jurisdiction of her native country, as is her baby.

If your fourth ancestral lineage is NOT of that country you do NOT have same rights as those that do or like foudational people/Blacks of that country.....that does NOT equate I'm sorry!! perhaps it shoul be resident but not citizen...people let's be honest if things were peachy in your home country you wont want to leave..stop going to other people's countries to give birth and feel some sense of entitement to the resources.....It's called USING a bunch of Users non-contributors...furthermore, some countries do NOT have the land/space resources neither food or other resources to accommodate people...let' countries be sovereign...that's their right!!

But changing an amendment is extremely difficult because it requires a 2/3 majority vote in both Chambers of Congress -House/Senate. @neojason8349 Trump is extremely smart when comes to American laws. He is not changing the laws but rather enforcing the law. How? It clearly means that a person who has a baby must have a legal status before given birth otherwise that person can not make his or her child a citizen based on the parents not having any legal status prior to giving birth. The United States Army has the same rule pertaining to birth upon foreign lands. This is the exact same law that France is using to deport all of these illegals and their so called birth right citizen children. Also countries in the middle East have started to force birth control on foreigners on work visa to prevent this same issue. These undocumented people and their anchor babies are draining these countries to the verge of bankruptcy!
He is going to use this outlined template to enforced the laws of birthright citizens under the 14th Amendment. Also the "Keeping Families Together" will no longer be effective with these so called mail order brides for citizenship the Army laws clearly states that the female must be an American Citizen to be even considered. Which will be reflected in the 2030 census as immigrants must have their nation of origin first for each generation/descendant born upon American soil on every legal document moving forward. This is protecting the American Negroes descendants and the Native Americans lineages! It is also biblical in Ezra 9:12 that prevents us from mixing with these nations among us in order to keep our inheritance which is the land of America.

What is the meaning of SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF?
A person “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” is a legal resident or a citizen--persons that are legally permitted to reside within a jurisdiction. This means that a person subject to a different country, a foreign combatant, or a foreign diplomat are all not subject to American law!

Ask France what they did to those born in France of illegal parents. They also have DACA people that may not get anymore protection due to them not going back to their countries of origins and filing for legal status. Y'all had your chances to do what is right but you did not. 40 years is way to long to be in someone's country illegal without trying to get any status here. As an American citizen, we are required to follow the law which is also blind regardless of color or religion. Why should y'all and many others continue to break it and we can't? We have legal immigrants that came to America the right way, is this not fair to them?

Your son will be okay if you as his parent, came here legally. Since he already has a US birth certificate, he will most likely not be affected. However, once the law is passed to get rid of non-birthright citizenship, it will immediately apply to all those going forward. After living in the US for 40 years, I hope you have already become a naturalized US citizen. If you came here illegally and are not a naturalized US citizen, Trump can and will deport you. If this is the case, even your son that was born here could be in jeopardy of losing his birthright citizenship. If this is the case, I'm not as sure about your son. The good thing is, I heard Trump say that he was willing to work something out for the Dreamers, meaning the children who were brought into the country by their parents many years ago and only know life in the US. I don't think Trumps looking to deport these children, who are now adults. Hopefully, your son will be okay. However, if you are still living here illegally, eventually Trump will find you. He's a racist and he's ruthless.

@@Chulu.10 We ain't African American and that name is not on the 14th amendment either. Before 1965 a African could not obtain citizenship in America and all Blacks were subjected to the Black Codes. That 14th Amendment is for the American Negroes of the deep south regions and their descendants. The Civil Rights open doors of migration for Blacks who are descendants of Black Caribbeans reclassification since 1960's Civil Rights and Africans who were banned just like the Chinese under the original constitution. Why would this country not allow Blacks or Africans into America before the 1960's if the American Negroes supposedly were the same people? We are not and they are now defining this with the 14th Amendment and the Dred Scott ruling.
