Have you tried this tire coating?

No, but I've tried something that also looks blue when first applied - Optimum Tire Coating, and I hated it - it would turn white and flake off. I use standard dressings now, applied often.

No. Seems good but time will tell and some rain

I have used it and like it better than standard tire shines!!

I have it sitting on my shelf, just haven't used it yet because of the prep work and application time involved.

I’ve had good results. A detailing brush helps applying around the knobby areas of the tire. It does a good job sealing the tire pores and makes cleaning the tires much easier. Usually only need regular wash soap. The shine dulls down after some time, but using a water based shine on top or other tire shine works well. It makes a good foundation.

$25 for that tiny bottle, it had better last the life of the tire.

Nothing will last forever I have used it before it’s decent enough

You should use a brush strictly for tires, that would be much easier & you'd get better coverage with the all terrain tires.

I wonder if you can top it with their regular dressing to boost longevity? Similar to a paint coating.

What's missing is you have to clean the tire with a tire cleaner and a brush until the tire cleaner doesn't change color anymore takes about 20 minutes per tire 4 to 5 cleaning . Then it will last longer

I really wanted to try this product because the marketing is great but the reviews are absolutely terrible on Amazon so I’m probably just sticking to good old water based dressings.

I have found a tire shine from Suds Lab. Purchased at Walmart and went on easy and a week later it still looks good.

I got some earlier this week and used it on new tires yesterday (6/25/24)... they are waiting/stored with about 3 coats on each tire... it looked very shiny as of finishing but was dry/smooth to the touch... I let it dry 20 mins between each coat (used gloves) and won't use the tires for maybe a month or two... hope I get good results

I actually bought a bottle and got one free a while back directly from exoforma. They had a solid lid taped to the bottle and sent the flip top in the box. They have decent products in my personal opinion

Looks pretty good. I think I might give it a try. My only concern is I wonder if it might damage the tires at all?

    • @autodetailingpodcast
      @autodetailingpodcast  8 месяцев назад

So far so good for me tbh. It does fade away and just leaves the tires bare. Doesn’t seem to harm them.

Hey Jimbo. Besides this tire coating are there other ones you would recommend Do you prefer coatings like this or more of your water-based dressings? Thank you
P.s where are the monthly updates for this product?

I was posting on my IG. But the product died about 2 months ago in. It’s a toss up. A tire coating looks super good for the first couple weeks. Then it looks just so so for a few more weeks, then it’s like “ehh I should add some more”. So for me I’m going with a water based dressing that I can dilute a few different ways to use around the car, that way too if I want more of a matte finish I can adjust the water based to fit that need.

I applied it to brand new tires / and I still cleaned them. Zero dressing on them or any grease / applied to that it did last a decent amount of time. I did 2 coats - it won’t last a year as they indicated

I wonder if this is the same stuff as Pinnacle Black Label Tire Coating. These looks nice for about a month, then start to look faded and bad, and are a pain to remove.

Most likely is from the same blender. B&b is making this for most people that are branding it.

Based on the advertising, I ordered Permashine hoping that the product would work as they said it would - shine for a year! I love shiny black tires on my vehicle.
I bought brand new tires for my truck. I meticulously followed the instructions and the RUclips video sent to me after I made the purchase. I still cleaned the tires with the Exoforma tire cleaning product until no brown water appeared. I spent 2 1/2 hours total from start to finish with the cleaning and applying. I made sure the tires were perfectly dry before applying. I didn't move the vehicle for over 24 hours and it did not rain during this time. I even did the second coat on the tires in hopes that it would help it last longer. The tires looked fantastic after I did all of this!
Well, after two trips through the car wash in the past three weeks, the shine is already gone like it was never there. Nothing in their advertising or video says anything about not being able to run a vehicle through a car wash and not being able to maintain the shine. If it did, I wouldn't have even bothered applying it since I have a car wash membership (as many many people do these days).

My question for you and anyone that has a suggestion for a great product like this, DIRT ROADS, how does the product behave? I hate seeing a car with brown tires 😅 from a dirt rd..

Tried it on our 4Runner. WON'T put that on ANY of our vehicle tires, ever again. FIRST DAY; looked decent. But by the THIRD DAY; back to dull. Yeah! The THIRD DAY! And that guy "Kyle", from Customer Service? Hahaha! He's gotta be some new kid, on Summer hire. He literally had to keep "going back to our manager", for answers about our issue. Money WASTED!

@autodetailingpodcast KrispyKreme style. nice. guess what I was saying is that a few light coats would look shinier and still use less product. they state that you don't want it to be dripping while applying
