Thank you so much for the video. It helps me a great deal. The only question I have is in the picture up top you have of the monkey beaver. They're rigging plate is still on there. It's just the straps are going through the 2 holes. And then they connect the ring open in front of it. If that makes sense trying to do this a 100% right. Thank you so much for helping me
I had to zoom in good on the MB video and now understand what you are talking about. Remove that rigging plate on the side which gets the Petzl ring and rope grab. MB obviously left it on there to do some testing and make a video, but you would never connect to both the Petzl ring and rigging plate at the same time. You could test out the adjustable bridge just like they did by keeping the rigging plate off to the side. After that, I'd commit and remove the rigging plate. Removed both rigging plates from my MB saddle - both replaced with Petzl rings.
@@boomupengineering That's what I'll do, thank you so very much for all your help. I really appreciate a lot I did subscribe to your channel. God bless thank you so much
It's far easier to zip tie a CT rolling lock to the paw Richard Mumford has done this for years on the newtribe onyx wich is how they came up with monkey beaver..they just modified it to thier style. In calibrated with new tribe until branching out.with the rolling lock it adjusts down to no bridge length and Richard mumford does extensive testing on the CT rolling lock wich is way underated..the tests were acuttualy at and above ansi lifesupport even though it dint matter the stopper knot or splice is there.and climb line should be lifesupport..nice video thought someone might be interested..I use this method..thanks....
@@Sethhaun78 Yeah, thank you so much, buddy for the feedback. I already bought the rope grab and the kit so I really don't want to have to buy another one. I'm going to try this thank you so much god bless
@@br-dj2ti yea no biggie. I swap..Bern trying tricky trees here so like 2 for double climb lines..I'm older and hurt badly
How do you like the hyper climb.i ask because it's a attempted copy by Samson of the yale version bluemoon and wesspur version yale focus .I received my focus 200ft it's got the best hand splice I've seen. Blue moon I love this is red version .very nice.the bluemoon in my opinion has the strongest cover of the 24 strand .I have new poison ivy 120ft .but when I opened it it's alot thinner than bluemoon yale version. Samson sherril made it.but realy like the yale .so haven't used this ivy .feels thin
I am not the best at comparing ropes - I really haven't tried many yet. My first bit of rope was a full spool of Hyperclimb because it was something like 60 cents per foot, delivered. Works fine for me. I do believe I have a new Poison Ivy rope packed away - I'll see if I can find it this weekend. I know my Rope Runner Pro flattens the Hyperclimb pretty good but I expect anything will behave that way with my weight. My Unicender doesn't care and works fine. With that and the Mumford drum, I have to wear gloves to slow myself when coming down. But the Unicender still locks hard when I come of my wrap. My boys and I have played with 200ft of Notch Dragon which is a 11mm rope. That was super cheap at maybe 45 cents per foot. We've gone out to Savage Gulf and repelled down some of the rock cliffs. But that is some small stuff when trying to put your hands around it. So yeah, my rope experience is pretty low. I have the Poison Ivy and a Yale Scandere rope waiting for me when I get out next. I think those all are supposed to be 11.7mm. What I need to do is finish getting my second set of spurs setup so both my boy and I can go up in a tree together. I need to get pads setup for my new set so that I can dial in my Kleins for the kid. I have a good sized oak on the hill behind the house which will be good for that.
@@boomupengineering hyperclimb and ivy are Samson 2 versions they bought from yale bluemoon..the bluemoon has better cover..and good work horse..rope..but they are same as far as strands. And are in the middle ground for mechanicals

There's no telling what RUclips and these other sites do when we aren't looking. They have a lot of influence and control over what we see. Scary.
