  • In this video we refurbish the Webster magneto and igniter and finger trip. This is a 1 3/4 Nelson Brothers Hit Miss stationary engine, that we are rebuilding. Mag shows a good hot spark in the end.

    Nice work fixing up what someone else messed up there! Those mags are interesting pieces to work with. She's gonna run good and I bet you'll feel that spark too! LOL

      This engine was supposedly rebuilt when it was bought but, there kind of rebuild is just spray it with new paint. If you look close at the igniter trip it had paint only on one side, because it was painted with everything bolted on the engine. We have seen this many times and expect it.

    I’d sure like to see how the push rod return spring and mag trip rod spring are setup my engine is missing both, thanks

    Can that magneto by replicated? How are coils and magnet polarity aranged?

    Nice pin job, but a grease fitting would have made it last forever.
