- In this video we refurbish the Webster magneto and igniter and finger trip. This is a 1 3/4 Nelson Brothers Hit Miss stationary engine, that we are rebuilding. Mag shows a good hot spark in the end.
Hey Derrick ,just Greg here . Glad to see more on the hit and miss engine. Way to go with the 1000 subscribers .
Thank you again Greg.
Nice work fixing up what someone else messed up there! Those mags are interesting pieces to work with. She's gonna run good and I bet you'll feel that spark too! LOL
This engine was supposedly rebuilt when it was bought but, there kind of rebuild is just spray it with new paint. If you look close at the igniter trip it had paint only on one side, because it was painted with everything bolted on the engine. We have seen this many times and expect it.
Penny's Hot Rods & Customs that makes sense. Good job taking the time to make it right! Worth it in the end for sure. You can tell you guys enjoy what you do and it shows !
Good episode , keep up the good work 👍
You keep watching them and we will keep making them.
I’d sure like to see how the push rod return spring and mag trip rod spring are setup my engine is missing both, thanks
Can that magneto by replicated? How are coils and magnet polarity aranged?
To do a precision job, you need a precision machine and an operator who is focused. His focus is sharp thanks to a Big Gulp! GO Penny's!
Cant go wrong with a big gulp. thanks Glen
Nice pin job, but a grease fitting would have made it last forever.
once were done with it it will be around for a long time.
