On the topic of Kris, at 1:38:47 if you had done the boat ride with Ralsei (and had chosen to hug him for the picture) before beating Spamton, Ralsei would have hugged Kris. Kris would then have asked Susie for a hug too 🥺 I hope you guys do the alternate route sometime! Its… something. Edit: was thinking this when I was listening to the stream but forgot to mention it here. Remember in the first Spamton fight where you could press F1 for Help and he would heal you? That works in this fight too. (Only once tho)
I was honestly surprised I managed to beat him on my first try (though he was definitely easier than Jevil in my opinion, who somehow I was stupidly lucky enough to beat him on my second or third attempt as well). Though I recently learned that the mannequin equipment actually lowers the damage done by his bullets if you wear it, so for all I know he might have only felt easier because I lowered his damage stats without realizing.
- Not sure if you realized it, but the Teas' healing depends on who drinks what flavor. If someone drinks a Tea of their own flavor, it'll only heal 10 HP (and taste like water), but they heal others for much more. Kris Tea gives 120 HP to Susie/Ralsei, Susie Tea gives 120 to Kris/Ralsei, Ralsei Tea gives 120 to Susie, and Noelle Tea gives 120 to Susie. (Oh, and Susie Tea can give 400 to Noelle, according to the data) - Yeah, if you defeated Jevil moving into Chapter 2, Seam will notice his Shadow Crystal in your possession. Also apparently, if there's any Chapter 1 save file in which Jevil is defeated, the hole to the west of Castle Town will have his Shadow Crystal (and equipment, I think). - Basically, Swatch was a graphics program that Mettaton used to draw up a NEO body. Yup. - It's strange, right? That Kris would put that SOUL back into themself, if it seems like they're the one opening Dark Fountains? Shouldn't they know by now that the SOUL can seal Fountains? Unless...that's not Kris's doing, but something else making them open Fountains? Heck, Kris had to have retrieved the SOUL from the birdcage before Chapter 2 even starts (checking the birdcage notes that there's no escape when the door is closed). Dunno, but I have a good feeling that the Knight is also trying to seize control of Kris...
Well, what with Kris's reaction to the Spamton Neo fight, they seem to not respond well to the puppet imagery (especially the "puppet dying once it's strings are cut" part). So, based on that (and the fact that they can move on their own when they remove the soul, aka the thing _we_ control during battles), I would say it's probably more accurate that Kris is acting more like themselves when the soul is removed. It's when the soul is in them that they are no longer in control. Whether or not the knight is a separate entity from Kris is a different conversation, but I wouldn't say that something is forcing them to make the fountains. We just don't yet know the motive.
These people are the first ones I've ever seen get all of Tasque Manager's questions correct! You still get the encounter, but she's immediately spareable. Since the encounter ends immediately if she's spared, getting all the questions right effectively makes this encounter skippable. If you're wearing either of Jevil's items and the encounter was done normally, her opening line include "Now get rid of that silly 'tail' / 'Devilsknife'. " depending on which you have (and it's equipped). This implies that she has either met Jevil or knows of him.
Fun fact: The personal flavour tea's heal everyone different amounts, seemingly based on how much they like the person whose tea they're drinking. For example, Susie Tea heals Noelle 400 hp (since she's in love with Susie), while Ralsei and Noelle's tea's only heal each other 50 hp (since they're complete strangers). Second fun fact: Ralsei Tea only heals Kris 60 hp, suggesting that Kris doesn't like Ralsei very much. Third fun fact: If I had to put up with someone repeatedly telling me my choices mattered while I was being completely controlled by a mysterious entity, and that mysterious entity kept forcing me hug that guy against my will, I wouldn't like him very much either.
When Queen talked about the Knight and his blade, I was already mostly sure she was talking about Kris (a dagger looking sword). She also talked about fountains could be created by Lightners with determination. I also had some doubt from Chapter 1, and even more when Spamton's "friends" talked about hearing garbage noises through the phone after you defeated him, and you guys pointed out how the cellphone was all about garbage noises... WELP, onto another long wait for the next part. Gonna be quite a ride... Also yeah, I've just looked up the alternative route and you guys should definitly see what's it's about, it's quite... interesting to say the least. On that note, thanks for that nice let's play, you guys nailed the voice acting of the characters (kudos to Nyanny's Queen voice, it really felt like you were making her voice so naturally xD). But Spamton was also really fun to hear from you two.

I could barely hear Clay in parts of the mansion cause the music was drowning him out, should be careful about that in the future, I know he kinda fixes it eventually, but that's like over an hour in. (Got a bit of a habit of mumbling :P) Man, I love Spamton so much, I just knew from the first meeting he'd probably be the secret boss, and he did NOT dissapoint. ^^ The way you both voiced him was great too.
As for future chapter releases, it's confirmed that Chapters 3-5 will be released altogether as the first paid part of the game (and will cost something more than UNDERTALE did, which is generally $15). Who knows when they'll come out, but I imagine it'll be in the range of 1-3 years from now.
I'm just curious if the final two chapters will cost money as well, or if the cost of 3-5 is meant to be the cost of the full game, with the final two chapters being planned updates.
Chechking this out super late, so this will mean nothing, but kinda shocked not more ppl reminded you to talk to Seam (cat plush shopkeeper) - they have a more dialogue you missed, and they seem like a key character too (if you're trying to hear as much dialogue as possible)
Chapter 1 and 2 have solidified one extreme need for me; I want to know Kris. We only know bits a pieces of what gets said off-hand by people that know them, I know what I'm thinking during the game, the choices, and so on. But I want to know what Kris Thinks/Feels/Would do. It seems like Kris isn't good at anything (journal entry has noelle detail how they played piano at her house for hours but it didn't sound like music, just noise) and lives in the shadow of their brother, acting up and always sleeping (pranks and no energy), even when Susie threatened them after class once they just chuckled, pissing Susie off more, who promptly goes off on them and they has an inaudible response (noelles journal is all we have to go by) which makes susie immediately stop, drop them, and run away. We are the reason those 2 are friends, and it seems Kris likes her too, but do you think they could have done it without us? And if so do you think when Susie figures out its not Kris in control she might be worried she knows the wrong Kris? We don't even need to talk about Kris, Jevil, and Spamton's insane connections to them. But i will, The enemy with the least agency is the most free from a world where everyone's placed like chess pieces (jevil) and a guy who wanted so bad to be accepted he became a sentient Spam Email Puppet Account (chain mail with broken hyperlinks) and wants now nothing more than to be free; Kris is essentially our puppet, and obviously they want freedom to make their own choices, but we are here and I believe it's because We, Ralsei, Lancer, and whoever talked to us at the beginning Know this is a game, and meant for You to enjoy, Kris is our ride. It's very obvious they are very against the Weird Route, they give constant chances to stop, and the choices even sometimes reflect their feelings (positive/route ending choices ending in a exclamation point and emphasis instead of simple commands.) The Weird Route to me is very interesting, but for now uncanon; we chose to do all of those terrible things and had to go out of our way to keep doing them. Kris had nothing to do with it, even Noelle knows somethings wrong, or someone. Everyone's always on about the shirt color scheme and the red eyes and the knife but: Kris probably has biological red eyes (no that wasn't Chara's red eyes at the end of the tainted pacifist ending, frisk never opened their eyes til that moment so frisk has red eyes imo, Chara has brown eyes. I hate that shit anyways, Kris is their own person.) Knife is their toy knife, crazy smile is because they knows theyreabout to go eat all the pie, and we are put in the cage so we can't interfere with the thing they want most. I don't distrust ralsei. Infact I think he's here to make you feel worth it. Not no body, not talentless, not the Weird neighbor kid that doesn't talk and scares people; I think he was [made] to be our guide and friend to help us grow and help Kris get out of that mindset. No thoughts on W D Gaster. Way too soon to be sure. I do have a theory that Deltarune came first, so everyone we know from Undertale being here they were probably going to be in Deltarune but Toby put it on the back burner until he got better, and made Undertale with his limited man power and his assets. Thanks to that though, he's finally able to make the game he (very literally) dreamed of. I'm excited for the next few chapters. I worry about the effect We have on Kris and everyone else because I don't know Anything about Kris's thoughts and feelings on it all, and we will eventually leave when it's over and everyone we've effected will be left with the choices we made. There's more but those are the most important to me to throw out there.
Guys… I think I might of cracked the code. So my theory is that each chapters secret boss represents one of the seven souls from undertale. So deltarune chapter 1 represents the normal soul or the red one. And deltarune chapter 2 represents the shooting soul or the yellow soul. Since there is seven souls from undertale and seven chapters that will be added in deltarune I believe there will be a link between them. So we can expect having the spider lines purple hart thingy in a fight with some parts of spider dance in the music in that battle. We can also expect that we will have a blue hart fight with parts of ether bone trusle or megalovania in the battle music. And we will most definitely have a green hart fight with parts of ether spear of justices or battle against a true hero in the music. I am guessing we will have a fight with the light blue to but the thing about that is in undertale it’s not your hart that becomes light blue but the atk’s of the attacker so maybe a fight with someone that can use light blue attacks, The music I am unsure about since a lot of ppl can use it. And the same goes for orange attacks orange is also not a hart thingy but a attack thingy and I am also unsure about any music part since a lot of ppl (or monsters I guess is a better term) can use the orange thingy. Like the comment so that more ppl will see this and write a comment on your opinion. :-)
Tip for future playthrough. If you do the acid tunnel and hug Ralsei before fighting SPAMTON NEO, afterwards when you say you're not fine, Ralsei will hug you to cheer you up.
I believe they leave the streams unlisted until youtube fully processes them, then they public once they're sure nothing's wrong, I've seen other peeps do this, makes sense.
