Please do more of these. Watching you guys play Magic live (not online) with each other is some of the most fun I can have short of actually playing the game. More! MOAR!
Here's the real way to play Conspiracy. "All right, to start the game, I have eight hidden agenda cards." "Wait, what the hell!?" "Don't worry, don't worry, they're not rares or anything. It's just one uncommon and the rest commons." "Okay..." "Cool, I reveal three Brago's Favor, naming Cogwork Spy. Now it costs 0 instead of 3." "For a 2/1 flyer!?" "Yes." "Geez, that's good." "Don't worry, I only have one in my hand, so I'll play it out." "Okay." "I reveal Secret Summoning. Now I get to put three Cogwork Spies from my deck into my hand." "JESUS CHRIST! You have four Cogwork Spies!?" "They are commons, you know. Getting four isn't too difficult. May as well cast them too, after all, they are free." "So, you have four 2/1 fliers on turn one?" "No. I reveal three Muzzio's Preparations, which gives all of them an additional three +1/+1 counters. They are now 5/4s." "Are you fucking shitting me right now?" "I also reveal Immediate Action. They all have haste. I attack you for 20 in the air." "I haven't even had a turn yet!" "And you won't. Good game." "What just happened?"
Well, yeah, the far more likely play is to have one Brago's Favor, one Secret Summoning, and one Secrets of Paradise, all naming Whispergear Sneak. And then, if you have two Whispergear Sneaks in your deck, you can cast 3-drops on turn one. Or if you have three, you can cast 4-drops. Or if you have four, 5-drops. And so on.
This just came up on my home page suggestions, and I love it. The memories. And cam looking like the unibomber. All looking so young. You love to see it
Im legit watching this for the first time on my Birthday...and when James talked about the "Happy Birthday" banner around 19:00 I smiled! LRR is a legit positive for the Magic community.
I was rather upset when summer came and went without a Friday Nights episode on Conspiracy... and then I found this many months later. Thanks guys!!! I am satisfied now.
Thank you so much crew, that was totally amazing. I'll be drafting Conspiracy on Friday for the first and probably only time. But I can't wait to do it.
@3:40:00... A black 43-card deck is a moldy ham sandwich, a blue one is a soggy ham sandwich, a white one is a plane (lol) ham sandwich, and a green one is a ham sandwich with beef.
Aww man, just rewatched this amazing draft. The Apex hawk was totally in James' hand. You can follow the location of it on the table between cuts until he finally turns it over. He totally had that.
Just to let you guys know how much people love these live(not online) drafts this is my second time watching this, and it makes me want to do ANOTHER Conspiracy Draft
8 or more player draft is always welcome especially the older and less playable sets. In fact I'm starting to watch this draft for the second time in a week to see what reactions the other half of the table had.
The year is 2020 and the world is in quarantine. In this bleak future one man searches through the annals of youtube history hoping to relive the joys of a life that no longer exists. He does not know it yet, but he has already entered a place of no return; a place known only as... The Twilight Zone.
This video was pretty good until Graham and Alex started doing commentary. Then, it became FANTASTIC. The ham sandwich bit floored me. Brilliant parody of the painfully banal sports commentary as well.
This was a lot of fun to watch. While I recognize the commitment it requires from you guys, it would be lovely if you would do similar event in the future.
This showed up via the Algorithm in 2023, boy have you guys and Magic and your filming all come so far. I was shocked to hear Alex use the term "Junk" instead of Abzan.
All of Alex's booth commentary at towards the end of game one killed me...Also Kathleen at the end of game two with the "For those of you at home, James must block" hahahahahaha
This was an absolute blast to watch live, hope to see this again if only to give another opportunity to pull a Lore Seeker. Also an opportunity for Serge to pull off another wicked combo. #TeamPowerSerge
When I drafted conspiracy I forced green white because my first pull was selvala so I drafted a GW mill deck with two copies of altar of dimentia and many of the token creators in parley. Selvala's charge is great for this.
lol just the amount of times Jer shuffles his hand of THREE CARDS drives me nuts XD I almost had to stop the vid then yall tell him to stop out of frame lol
Anyone else notice how in the second game they kept screwing up the ability of Serges Mana Rock. The targeted player chooses the colour, not the Rocks controller.
12:06 Card damage only matters once it's completely unplayable. Just like life total ;) 25:40 Cogwork spy and agent of acquisitions don't work like that. Agent says "you may draft each card in that booster pack, one at a time", spy says "you may look at the next card drafted from this booster pack". Agent even goes out of its way to specify that it doesn't happen at once probably to avoid confusion with interactions like this. Though maybe the point was that James already knew all the cards? lol Lurking automaton could be a 21/21 in an 8 player draft if you get last passed it from the effect of canal dredger lol 1:21:12 Cam gets it, counterspells do work for you even when you don't even have them lol 1:50:53 "ost other applications, you are NOT requires to use s" information! must... analyze...
im actually pretty sure that trample doesnt carry over- the riling w/ trample is that you can choos for some of the damage to carry over once doing damage. that cant happen if damage isn't dealt. pls correct me if im wrong tho, ive had this come up in a game or two and never really sure what happens.
These were really cool games. U guys did a great job of entertaining. Will there be a second conspiracy draft like this? With the cardcam u had at the pre-prerelease? Would be AWSOME!
I'm pretty sure you're not allowed too do that, because Agent of Acquisitions oracle text states "you can't draft cards for the rest of this draft round" so you're not allowed too use Cogwork librarian, you only get too see the packs.
No. Cogwork Librarian can only trigger as you draft a card. If you use Agent of Acquisitions earlier in the draft round, you aren't drafting cards anymore.
2 Things: 1) Major props to the technical staff who have led to what standard the Magic stream community should hold themselves up to (I am assuming that it's Paul's doing while I am gazing from the future). 2) Can we get a "where are they now" of past LRR alumni? Even those who may have broken our hearts? I enjoy seeing diversity in our geekdoms and hold on to the fact that it wasn't just to massage our fragile male egos.
I drafted Conspiracy with my friends. I picked up 2 Decimates, 1 Grenzo, 1 Pelakka Wurm, 1 Selvala, 1 Scourge of the Throne, 1 Bassandra, and 3 Sakura Tribe Elders w/ the conspiracy that only made them cost 1. I lost due to group hate.
I was the first to be eliminated... I also drafted double stroke and small pox. People weren't happy about me clearing the board and setting the game back 4 turns. Needless to say I was the target..
I had a Lurking Automaton 8th. Used Conspiracies to get it down to four mana. With haste. And two extra +1/+1 counters. And I had two. And Yes, I got it out on curve
Wait, I'm a bit confused. Didn't serge have to name who he was targeting w/ brimstone volleys before Cam needed to respond? If Cam knew the volley wouldn't hit him, he could've saved the dream fracture for the swords to plowshares (which he knew graham had) to let james die, serge mill out and leave graham at 1. Edit: welp, i didn't know about serge's secret strats so if cam did that, he'd have died.
(Wrote this before they started debating on the video) Just gonna say, to be fair with Graham - it's nigh on impossible for there to be more than one thing exiled by Council's Judgment unless all the targets are things that the earlier voting players control. If you gang up like you did with Serge, all you do is let him choose which permanent he wants to get rid of. The choosing of the Air Servant just gave him an even better out for that situation. Your best scenario would have just been choosing one of his things second so that it was at least on YOUR terms.
I need help with something. Kathleen was talking about a ghost that tried to warn people about scary things, but ended up scaring them instead. I forgot what it was called and I really don't want to re-watch a five hour video to find it. Help!
Kathleen and Graham need to stop being adorable: 2:06:20 *summons Reya Dawnbringer* G: "What do you bring back?" K: "AT THE BEGINNING OF MY UPKEEP..." G: "Don't yell at me~" Please, PLEASE do something like this for Take the Crown. I will watch it even if it's 20 hours long.
Please do more of these. Watching you guys play Magic live (not online) with each other is some of the most fun I can have short of actually playing the game. More! MOAR!
I second that! I would love to see a commander game.
Btw: Tolarian Community College
PLS DO MORE OF THIS :D
It's the professor! Yaaaaaay!
Tolarian Community College Yes.... agreed
Tolarian Community College the proessor
Here's the real way to play Conspiracy.
"All right, to start the game, I have eight hidden agenda cards."
"Wait, what the hell!?"
"Don't worry, don't worry, they're not rares or anything. It's just one uncommon and the rest commons."
"Okay..."

"I also reveal Immediate Action. They all have haste. I attack you for 20 in the air."
"I haven't even had a turn yet!"
"And you won't. Good game."
"What just happened?"
Dude... that sounds a lot like the one time I did that xD I couldn't kill on turn one, but it was fun as heck!
And so on.

cam looking like hes about to drop the hotest rap album
Thanks, Cam, for being my favorite.
"The 43 card deck, also known as a 'Ham Sandwich'." And a new Magic term is coined.
I'm waiting for live commander...
Please....
Im legit watching this for the first time on my Birthday...and when James talked about the "Happy Birthday" banner around 19:00 I smiled!
LRR is a legit positive for the Magic community.
Cam is just awesome XD
i find it strangely entertaining to watch him draft and i LOVE his deck!
Marchesa seems like the kind of woman who'd just saunter into the battle hours late sipping a Starbucks casually and take all the glory.
Please please please do more of these, that was the best 5 hours I had watching a draft ever. Forget the Pro Tour, I want more of the LRR Tour.
Andre Van Slyke yeah you can see at 4:50:30 he puts it down from his hand so painful ahah
Just to let you guys know how much people love these live(not online) drafts this is my second time watching this, and it makes me want to do ANOTHER Conspiracy Draft
I just love Serge, he seriously made the game just amazingly fun!
8 or more player draft is always welcome especially the older and less playable sets. In fact I'm starting to watch this draft for the second time in a week to see what reactions the other half of the table had.

holy cow that was a blast I have not laughed so much in a good long while if you do more of these every now and then it would be great.
The triple play at 3:24:00 is why I'm psyched for Conspiracy 2
Well it's here
This video was pretty good until Graham and Alex started doing commentary. Then, it became FANTASTIC. The ham sandwich bit floored me. Brilliant parody of the painfully banal sports commentary as well.
What? 5 Hours? Really?
I had things I wanted to do today. . . .
Oh well,..
*Huddles into blanket and starts video*
This was a lot of fun to watch. While I recognize the commitment it requires from you guys, it would be lovely if you would do similar event in the future.
One of the best videos on internet! I watched this whole video for the 4th time. :D
Commander edition of this plz? :)
That would litterary take years to finish!
Myrdin90 It would literally not literally take that long.
Myrdin90 about same langth as this
You guys should do more videos like this! I really like it
6:02 after watching this a few times i have only now noticed cam showed us his first pick before he tells us in the booth.
That was so fantastic! Had to not wake my housemates up from laughing.
This is the first time I've watched a five hour long video, and wow it was great!
This showed up via the Algorithm in 2023, boy have you guys and Magic and your filming all come so far. I was shocked to hear Alex use the term "Junk" instead of Abzan.
This was nice you should do this again
All of Alex's booth commentary at towards the end of game one killed me...Also Kathleen at the end of game two with the "For those of you at home, James must block" hahahahahaha
i like how surge is a judge and he has an arbiter the whole game.lol
When Alex said he was a warrior, I had to remember the Boldwyr Intimidator and think, "No, your a coward."
Must... Resist... * ...yo.. u'r... e DAMNIT
Must... Resist... * ...yo.. u'r... e DAMNIT
good guy graham, using a technicality to kill another stupid pack of homelands!
this is no longer live live. this is video live
Lands and Spells is an OP archetype.
You should do more of this , but like the pro tour, have a commentator or 2 in the booth
around the 3 hour mark there is an audio/visual de-sync so this is now a weird Japanese movie.
Mine desynced at like five minutes
I love watching everyone's drafting styles
We want another one of these!!!!
Do more of these
This was an absolute blast to watch live, hope to see this again if only to give another opportunity to pull a Lore Seeker.
Do a live draft like this with Modern Masters 2015!
I have never once had a problem getting two's and three's of any card in my draft deck...except maybe rares.
lol just the amount of times Jer shuffles his hand of THREE CARDS drives me nuts XD I almost had to stop the vid then yall tell him to stop out of frame lol
Cam you should go draft like this ;)
More live games!
LoadingReadyRun LoadingReadyLive Will you also do a MM2015 draft? I just enjoyed this show and I'd like to see this again. It's amazing...
Louis salmon thanks for advice I'm still going to play magic because I love it
When is the next one, I am in heavy anticipation!
I watched this whole thing on RUclips, while building EDH decks. Quite a workout, I'm sweating from the exertion.
+Ratstail91 Lol, I was also building an EDH deck while watching this.
Anyone else notice an audio syncing error? It's just by a second or so.
Oh, and now it's not there... Huh.
I noticed it. It came and went as the video went through.
Anyone else notice how in the second game they kept screwing up the ability of Serges Mana Rock. The targeted player chooses the colour, not the Rocks controller.
More of these! Please? Pretty please with sugar on top?
Commander next?
12:06 Card damage only matters once it's completely unplayable. Just like life total ;)

Lurking automaton could be a 21/21 in an 8 player draft if you get last passed it from the effect of canal dredger lol
1:21:12 Cam gets it, counterspells do work for you even when you don't even have them lol
1:50:53 "ost other applications, you are NOT requires to use s" information! must... analyze...
They really need to bring back the card "Stop That" from Unhinged. Or at least make it legal in modern.
im actually pretty sure that trample doesnt carry over- the riling w/ trample is that you can choos for some of the damage to carry over once doing damage. that cant happen if damage isn't dealt. pls correct me if im wrong tho, ive had this come up in a game or two and never really sure what happens.
cam is my favorite " he identifies as barn kin" "what are your pronoun james" xD
These were really cool games. U guys did a great job of entertaining. Will there be a second conspiracy draft like this? With the cardcam u had at the pre-prerelease? Would be AWSOME!
Custodi squire doesn't put them onto the battlefield, it returns them to hand, wonder if the chat catches it or not
if you use an agent of acquisitions to take draft a pack can you use cogwork librarian to draft cards from packs that go around
3:53:54 I know Graham is just looking at the chat, but he just looks embarrassed after not being able to talk
I play like Jer, I bluff in the 1v1 and politic in the multi and I often come out second
2 Things:
1) Major props to the technical staff who have led to what standard the Magic stream community should hold themselves up to (I am assuming that it's Paul's doing while I am gazing from the future).
2) Can we get a "where are they now" of past LRR alumni? Even those who may have broken our hearts? I enjoy seeing diversity in our geekdoms and hold on to the fact that it wasn't just to massage our fragile male egos.
Alex was just so funny throughout all of this
whats with the 'cut' during 47:00 or so??
Cam is just sitting there like the badass he is
Alex and I have very similar playstyles. I would have enjoyed that Junk deck he made.
As soon as alex started announcing, i lost it and it stayed lost
I drafted Conspiracy with my friends. I picked up 2 Decimates, 1 Grenzo, 1 Pelakka Wurm, 1 Selvala, 1 Scourge of the Throne, 1 Bassandra, and 3 Sakura Tribe Elders w/ the conspiracy that only made them cost 1. I lost due to group hate.
The face that surge made right at the end.
I drafted 3 muzios preperations, and the one that gives haste. I then drafted 5 screaming sea hawks! Was a good game...
Oh yeah. They all are good games when you win. Especially turn 5-10 wins. Yeah, conspiracies in multiples make any of a lot of cards ridiculous.
I was the first to be eliminated... I also drafted double stroke and small pox. People weren't happy about me clearing the board and setting the game back 4 turns.
Needless to say I was the target..
4:50:30 james puts the Apex hawk on the table from his hand... he actually won that game!! such a good video either way
Whats the ghost thing they keep talking about, and where can i see/hear more of it
I had a Lurking Automaton 8th. Used Conspiracies to get it down to four mana. With haste. And two extra +1/+1 counters. And I had two. And Yes, I got it out on curve
So is there a P.O. box I can send another box of Conspiracy to so we can have more of these to enjoy?
Both Cam and Surge have sick decks
Cam looks like a boss with those shades
Couldn't serge attack cam, then attack the stark so that he would diededed
I don't even play Magic. I just watched what I presume to be 8 Canadians Magic it up for 5 hours. What the hell? What sort of sorcery is this?
While it's true this is not an instant, I believe this video to be an enhantment.
+Mega Punch I think it's more of a *conspiracy*
+Mega Punch I think it's more of a *conspiracy*

Isn't there a rule in conspiracy that if you say conspiracy you have to down a shot?
Love cams hood and shades
4:09:03 Alex… This is why we all love you.
The Draft: Chaos Theory
Game 1: Durdeling around
Game 2: Game of Dethrones
That moment when Graham forgets he is the fourth player was great...
(Wrote this before they started debating on the video)
Just gonna say, to be fair with Graham - it's nigh on impossible for there to be more than one thing exiled by Council's Judgment unless all the targets are things that the earlier voting players control. I need help with something. Kathleen was talking about a ghost that tried to warn people about scary things, but ended up scaring them instead. I forgot what it was called and I really don't want to re-watch a five hour video to find it. Help!
What episode was the intervention
Best Draft i have seen ever. XD #powerserge
Oh, Tally, you don't need haste to block !
and you should have had 3 spirits from Rousing of Souls !!
Kathleen and Graham need to stop being adorable: 2:06:20
*summons Reya Dawnbringer*
G: "What do you bring back?"
K: "AT THE BEGINNING OF MY UPKEEP..."
G: "Don't yell at me~"
Please, PLEASE do something like this for Take the Crown. I will watch it even if it's 20 hours long.
What sleeves did James and Graham use?
Dat tap tap concede reference Alex made :D :D
Cam is clearly playing for the WSOP.
Yes he is.
Alex needs to be a commentator for the pro tour!
