I was playing at Halifax when Geoff came went to training one Tuesday night & a bloke was sat in the changing room with a cardboard crisps box on his head he never said a word when the room was full he took the box off it was Geoff he had cut all his hair off & his beard funny as fuck !!! Top player top bloke R.I.P Geoff
Great story. As an Aussie I loved the Pommie league teams of 80/90s with Andy Gregory n co and always felt they were so unlucky. Loved Adrian Morley and James Graham too. Tough dudes.
RIP Robbo. You were one of the original 'Wild Men' of league in its greatest era. Hard as nails on the field and humble and quiet off it. You’ll never be forgotten by us Bulldogs fans. You are and always will be one of our greatest. Thank you for the memories mate.
I remember his playing days at Halifax Rugby League club here in the UK alongside his old team mate Chris Anderson back in the mid to late 80s...very sad news, a great player affectionately known as Geoff wildman Robinson... RIP
Sad to hear , this bloke was the type that every club wanted , he definitely had a go gave as good as he got and I wish we had players like him around today.... R.I.P. Big fella
Brought back some great memories as a kid watching him play. Never realised how great his passing game was until watching this many many years later. RIP
True Quiet Achiever. Whenever Canterbury were playing Geof Robinson was sure to make many full steam ahead runs up the middle of the ruck. I don't know one player who ran from a mile back at full steam as often as Geof. EVER. RIP.
Who knows what he was paid in those days but……imagine what he would be on today. He was before his time, a real champion rugby league Aussie fella. RIP in peace Robo, gone too soon!!!!😢
As a young bloke my parents wouldn’t let me go to Kogarah to see my Dragons and only let me go to Belmore as it was only a few stops on the train. Me and my little mates would get there early to get a spot on the hill and watch the reserves. The main attraction was always watching Robbo scattering blokes all over Belmore in reserve grade before he established himself in top grade. It was thrilling to watch Robbo and the hill would rise as one when he made a burst. RIP to a great one.
Remember him mainly due to his appearance but after watching this he was quite a beast. Small front rower with a ton of guts. RIP Robbo and condolences to his family n friends. Those days were some of the best of rugby league and Australia imho. Can’t say I like todays game and don’t want expansion. 10 ton12 teams enough.
I was listing to Graham Hughs, hosting "Talking Sport' on 2SM today. A lot of the program was dedicated to Geoff Robinson and I was wondering if you would pay tribute on your RUclips Channel. You certainly did and you amaze me. Well done.

He’s a player I will never forget playing for Halifax in 1985. Whenever I talk about rugby I always mention Geoff Robinson. What a legend.

This compilation shows he had some ball skills as well as the fearless charge. Thank you. A real Rugby League icon. RIP.

RIP Robbo
He was our coach at Bowral in 1995.
Great bloke.
Loved his bourbon and coke.
As a kid loved watching Robbo skittle the defence,RIP.
Was lucky enough to get to see him play for the mighty Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Travel slow, enjoy the ride, Robbo.
Geat rugby league player, loved him as a kid, even though Canterbury was not my team. would have played 20 tests if he played in the centers.
Vale Robbo, my great grandmother's favourite, she loved the "berries"
And the bluebags, things different back then
