Retired mechanic here. This is JUNK AI-generated content. The oil pump is the best lubricated part in the engine, and oil pumps virtually never fail. Checking oil level regularly is important, as the oil pressure light only goes on when the crankcase is almost empty and the pickup is sucking air. It's not meant to warn that the level is getting low gradually. Many engines are lost this way.
Oil pressure problems despite crankcase being full is usually down to failed rubber O-rings on the suction or discharge side of the oil pump. I replaced these on a few hundred cars over the decades, and the only actual failed oil pumps I needed to replace were on much older cars- 60s and 70s vintage. Correct diagnosis is the most important part of successful and cost effective repairs, this is why you should have a good mechanic before you NEED one. Lots of parts changers and few problem solvers in this business.
