    With this gun if you pump it slowly you'll bring up the
    FPS also Red Flight Pointed pellets are awesome out of this gun anyway try to do a Chrony Test after pumping it slowly you'll see a difference

      @@AirgunChannel Red Flight 22cal Round out of a Dual Caliber Beeman Break Barrel with a little Vasoline or oil on the end of the Slug is amazing.
      I was actually able to Shoot through both sides of a Steel Ammo can and a quarter of a inch into oak wood basically no different than a regular 22cal long Range Bullet now you don't want to much Vasoline or oil on the Slug because eventually it'll destroy the gun and only can be done with Break Barrel Piston Rifles the dieseling effect brought the FPS 1300 too 1400 perfect for small game and even mid size game. Also if you want to use a Break Barrel Piston Rifle for home defense Red Flight Pointed Rounds or Gamo Target Pellets at 22.75 Grains is the way to go now Vasoline sticks to the bottom of the slug or Pellet and works every time and will most certainly stop a intruder with a center mass shot God Forbid that would ever happen! Also be careful with pellets that are open skirt because you don't want to put too much Vasoline in the Pellet Skirt because it'll ruin the gun eventually after a few hundred shots just a dab of Vasoline or Oil in the skirt of the Pellet will bring up the FPS significantly with out damaging your rifle and could in some cases with a thin Barrel cause Detonation injuring the shooter. I've been shooting this way for 4 years now with no damage to the Dual Caliber Beeman after approximately 500 rounds shot through it the Beeman Dual Caliber is a awesome survival rifle and in a survival situation this gun will take down larger game with a well placed shot!!!

      I tried to chrony it shooting crosman red flight point 5.4 gr. And it would not register. It was getting dark. But it did shoot thru my stop sign. So.....its a beast. A cheap air rifle that is no joke. I have 15 air rifles that I built from pistols and this thing is almost as powerful as the crosman F4 break barrell. Good review!

      Would this be a good replacement for an old crosman powermaster 66? Just replaced the pump cup seal and re oringed the valve assembly then found out the stem is bad (leaking air out the muzzle when pumped) so it needs a whole new valve assembly. If i buy A new valve and with the pump cup seal kit i already installed id have 35 bucks into the powermaster (i got it free nonoperable) vs a new legacy 1000 or 2100 air rifle for 51 bucks on amazon with a scope. Recommendation on which way to go?

    • @Ihateschoolsobadly
      @Ihateschoolsobadly Год назад +1

      I would definitely go for the crosman lgcy1000, or the winchester 1977xs. Both are "rated" to 1000fps, crosman achieves more around 750 realistic max fps and the winchester a higher 850fps seems to be the realistic max fps. This puts those 2 at the top of their class for multipumps right now, any more fps youre gonna be talking cheap PCP/c02 speeds.

    Still a great pump gun even though it is mostly plastic, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxh4su9YgU1tWmjikirWcKJbjsFLEU62Bc but with care it will last a long time. It would be neat if Crosman would make a commemorative version of this with real wood stock, but of course it would weigh more and cost more, but hey, it would be cool. The included scope is more of a toy, but it does work for backyard plinking. I prefer to use pellets for greater accuracy, but BBs are just as good for plinking. This is not a Red Ryder folks; fully pumped it is 3 times the power of a Red Ryder and can be dangerous if not handled properly. Be safe out there.

It will hold a nickel at 40 yards surprisingly to this day .Not bad for a Kmart 79$ pump gun. This was my main critter getter for 5 years until the Benjamin Sheridan 392PA .22 cal came into my life. I have one of those, great little (and I do mean "little") airgun. Wear you out pumping it after a while, but an amazingly straight shooter for it's price point. I put a scope that came with my Gamo rifle on it (the one that comes with the Crosman makes a good pry bar or light duty hammer) and am getting some respectable groupings at 10 meters.

    48.00 dollar black Friday special right now at Amazon. Nice thorough review. Good job. Replacing a Crosman 66 that served well for decades. I am impressed a cheap air rifle with pellets can be a tack driver so got two at the sale prices. One for pellets, the other point n shoot with BBs with large reservoir. Rural and have firearms but would be handicapped without a BB gun. Far better than a rock and not deadly at 1 or 2 pumps. Great for opossum to deer. Couple taps and they wise up quick. Raccoons are the most stubborn learners.

    My gun has broken a plastic spacer inside near the stock. I’m sure that it was weakened from pumping it up while holding it at the base of the stock. Over time, the twisting and torquing due to holding it firmly while pumping has caused the malfunction. I’m going to attempt to epoxy the spacer back in place and reassemble the gun. Fingers crossed….👍

    Cool gun, but there's no such thing as quik follow up shot with a variable pump air rifle. This is a glorified version of the pump master 760. They're good guns, but honestly, I can reload my single shot, break actions faster. I will say though, $59 for 1000fps isn't bad. Regardless, good review! Thank you!

I threw it back on the shelf ...check before you buy... don't send any more money to the enemy...the Daisy rifles are chinese too.... buy a Gamo break barrel, Made in Spain or maybe a Hatson .. they are made in Turkey. I think the Umarex and Remington Air rifles are made in the USA. JUST DON'T SEND ANYTHING ELSE TO CHINA and these things are MADE in china !

    There is only one screw giving the dovetail of the plastic receiver any support and the two halves can flex pretty easy at the rear of the dovetail. Scopes on the Legacy will not hold zero with any reliability since movement is always possible, especially if you grab the scope while pumping (or just happen to bump it). This might be somewhat rectified by super gluing the seam of the receiver. That would make it pretty hard to do any repairs or mods, but it is such a cheap gun that it wouldn't concern everyone.
    I find the sights to be so nice that I don't bother with a scope on it. 3 pumps kills rats no problem inside ten yards. There's a lot to hate about this gun, but since I picked it up for 35 bucks I can't complain much.

    I've got a Crosman 2100 that looks pretty much identical to the one you reviewed. I didn't want anything expensive, just something to deal with the varmints raiding my fruit trees. Tell me, does this series of Crosman airguns have rifled barrels? I've never shot a single BB through mine for fear of damaging the rifling (if there is any) in the barrel.

    • @AirgunChannel
      @AirgunChannel  3 года назад +4

      Yes, it's a rifled barrel. I also never shot BB's to save my accuracy.
