Franklin Graham says PRAYER and Personal Notes are the most important thing and he wants us to send MORE QUALITY TOYS in our shoeboxes and to the processing center as fillers! And that's our aim! We want children to experience delight when opening their shoebox gifts. And may that delight cause them to feel a deep desire to know more about this Jesus who loves them. And may they receive Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Are you interested in an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ? Believe in Jesus, admit you have sinned and ask him to forgive your sins. Trust Him and receive him as your Savior and Lord. Read all about God in the Bible, starting in Genesis with creation to understand God and sin and the punishment for sin. Also, read the New Testament to understand what Jesus did, so that we could have forgiveness and redemption from sin. The Bible reveals God's plan for his children and the world. It tells us that Jesus will come soon for his children and we get to live forever with him!
We are blessed to have the Bible so we can know all about him.
I am very glad I can participate with Operation Christmas Child to bring the good news of Jesus and eternal life to the children around the world who have never heard about him. We are making a difference for eternity!

I try to personalize my boxes with my note. My favorite way is to write each note as I pack the box and try to mention something in the box in it. I also tell the child about God's love and talk a bit about my family. My photo is with my grandchildren so I always reference them in my note. For my church packing party, I have to write notes ahead so they don't mention a specific item int the box but still reference my family. This year I have tried decorating lids and I believe that adds a little more personalization. I think Michelle's lids are lovely, and I have used them a few times. I printed some in advance that I attached with double sided tape at the packing party, but my favorite way is to create a unique lid for each box. I use acrylic markers to write "God Loves You," "You Are Loved," or another message. Then I add 3 to 5 skateboard stickers that either match the front of my notecard or go with something in the box. It is the last thing I see as I close my box, and it fills my heart with joy as I finalize the box with rubber bands.

It would be so wonderful if Michele's friend who makes the beautiful headbands could show us how she does it or send word through Michele or could send links to buy the materials! They are such perfect additions to the boxes that I will probably try to copy them and I might make a big mess without some direction. Thanks for all the ideas you to give us!
How do you fit a blanket in the shoe box
Good question! I tried it tonight. Michelle said she replaced the plush animal/doll with a smaller plush or small doll. So far I’m getting used to that way of packing and having success.
I still have room for a blanket, school supply pouch with crayons, hygiene items, the animal mask mirror, and a wooden toy farm set (from Hobby Lobby). I also have fit an IKEA cup with a ball in it and socks and pop-it on top of the socks and there is still room for some more! Oh and I added her 3 panties too.
I bought blankets for boxes this year for the first time. My friend blessed me with a vacuum sealer so I used it to vacuum seal the blankets so they took up less space in my boxes. Wa a tight fit, but I managed to get everything in the box I wanted to that way!

Having our second packing party this afternoon October 26. Packing up all the 5-9 boxes for boys and girls! Did the 2-4 boxes last month and will be having another packing party a week before collection week for the 10-14 boxes! Splitting up packing parties for each age group seems to have worked better for us this year!
