That's what I've been telling! Papyrus is maxing out Frostbite and it shows. Although I'm really baffled at the decision to bypass the last corner, I mean, man, that's a bummer. Would be great to have the old road course back as DLC.
IndyCar engines have much more throaty sound (outside the car, not in this video). It is the ERS system on the exhaust in F1 that mutes and kills a lot of the sound. That has to be the biggest difference despite bigger displacement and lower revs in IndyCars.
deggis4 I believe you. Actually, I am new to Indycars. I came over because of Alonso! I initially thought the indies are on non-turbo engines. The sound although turbo is really a little bit beefier, that is true.
IMO It's better than the layout they used for F1 with those stupidly slow corners. At least here there is a somewhat interesting series of esses. Only thing I would change on this layout would be to remove the final couple of corners and just have the one banked corner leading onto the main straight.
amazing video. no where near the loading of a F1 car. but the noise is right. and the camera is SWEET! and I dont hear martin brundle telling me what is "fundamental"

I showed my 6 year old brother this right after he went go karting and all he said was

Dear F1 this is how a modern Turbo V6 should sound. If you can't give us the 80s Turbo, duplicate this. Better yet steel this design and add the kers.

sounds pretty much the same. nothing will beat the sound of V12, V10, V8 engines, non turbo!

They are the support series for this race, They will have a one hourish race at the track.

I can only hope that we can get a Fernando Alonso visor cam in the near future.
I'd pay a premium to watch a race with visor cam + radio chatter of the driver of my choice. This is incredible.
This is a great camera angle this should be implemented in f1 and indy500 to make it very exciting to see the pov of the driver

To be honest, not really. Plus its a visor camera so you probably wouldn't hear Him or radio chats.
