So stoked Angry is showing Amplid some love!
I love your reviews!! My personal experience with Amplid boards was excellent, they work so good! They are a piece of art 🙌
Just picked one up. Have friends who own a dart and feel while it excells on groomers it's a bit stiffer and not as nimble for trees. Debated picking up last seasons stalefish but opted for this as I've never seen someone on one before and have been eager to give Amplid a try.
Kindly give a review once you ride it. I am also comparing it to a Dart, Excavator, and Stalefish for pow/trees board...
@@bakamono7I’ve owned this board for three seasons and I only ride it on the deepest days, it floats in pow very well, but it’s strong suit is low angle pow tree runs and it’s really just a cruiser board that I like when I don’t feel like riding hard, I don’t recommend this board if you want something that can carve, it washes out when your weight pushes through your back foot, fyi my daily driver is a knapton twin.
Thanks for your take!@@snowairland
@@snowairlandhow does it handle the trees with how wide it is?
@@himboslice_ it’s waist width is 28.5 cm, it’s just ok for tight trees, I’m in northern Utah and theirs not as many trees as the northwest resorts, it is more nimble than my other boards but I like stiff wide boards, my other boards have a 29.5 cm ww.
Seeing amplid getting some many positive reviews from you. Definitely gonna buy one!

What a cool looking board!
If you had to choose a board in this category for pow tree riding at the resort or mellow cat boarding trips, would you pick this or something else? I noticed the sidecut radius is pretty long/big compared to other low-angle terrain volume shifted tree/pow boards. Often they seem to have very tight radius sidecuts.
I own a Telos backslash so...
How do you think this ranks compared to other top swallowtails for the deepest days? Are you gonna do a Top5 swallowtail list this year?
Hey Avran, love your videos. What are your thoughts on bonking this thing off some rails on party days? Thanks.
Hell yeah do it!
Nice little bro peep. Real nice bro
Hey, im 210 lbs 6,2 size 12 looking for a board for tree trails/freeriding ( pretty much all mountain/terrain and decent in pow) please i would love a suggestion
210 rad air tanker.
@@AngrySnowboarder eyy much respect for the answer ill look into that !
@@AngrySnowboarder almost spit out my orange juice when I re-read this comment :)
Hey man, in comparison to Korua Dart, which one would you suggest and why? Cheers for the video
Depends on the flex. More soft and surfy Amplid, more carving and charging Korua.
Can’t wait for this one, also interested in the Dada
Dada is at the top of my list for the Future Shapes series. Just seems to fill a niche in my quiver!
@@SheldonKreger I ended up buying a Dada 50% off EOS a couple of weeks ago
@@aaronemmett3480 I messed up sleeping on that. I did get a Pentaquark on discount though 😁
@@SheldonKreger Solid board I hear the penta
@@aaronemmett3480 It's so solid I physically cannot bend it with my arms 🤣.... Can't wait to take it for its first run.
I appreciate you're reviews Avran!Binding question- nitro team pro or BM Cor-Pro?
For this board or just in general?
In general
@@brighamedwards5655 Cor Pro has a bigger baseplate than the Team making it more rigid underfoot. It also lacks the airbag pad that the Nitro has which means it won't absorb a hit as well.
@@AngrySnowboarder thank you for your service!
I was looking at the Amplid Ticket Twin do you got a review on that board? Looks like a great playful park board. Thank's
I do not.
Would you say this is a way more exotic k2 cool bean?
Yes it comes from the rare exotic local of Taiwan after some snowboard husbandry in Austria.
Would this board also be fun for summer slush party boarding and park?
Wouldn't be my first choice for park.
What do I have to do to get an Amplid demo day set up here in the PNW?!
Lots of over the pants handies.
These boards look awesome but wow they are expensive.
Yeah understandable, they have some good ones in clearance for 40-50% off but those go fast. Plus if you’re in the US you’re getting hit with 20% vat but it’s only $40 shipping (that’s if they even make it with all the port congestion and shipping woes). Their whole line is interesting with the various dampening agents - whether it’s the future shapes, centrifugal line or the all-mt they all look totally dialed.
So worth it. I imported an Amplid Surfari a few years ago and paid through the nose even with a discounted price, best thing I did. Like Angry says, just has a different feel to it. First run on it it and I knew I was home.
I’ve been riding an orca the last few seasons but looking to move to something a bit more pow centric without losing too much resort functionality - you think this would be a good option? thanks!
Any idea how this board differs from the Spray Tray? I love what Amplid is doing but most of their boards do it seem designed for my 140lb weight
No clue haven't ridden it. Eat more muscle cheese!
