- FIRST LOOK:The Tacoma is all new for 2024 and Toyota has some surprises. The X Runner sits on Bilstein dampers with the rear air suspension from the Tundra, functional hood scoop and aggressive body work. On the inside you will get the special sport seats from the TRD Off Road Pro, 14in infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with the Toyota Performance Pkg & mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma X Runner the BEST new performance truck?

I had a 2006 and a 2013 X-Runner and will buy another if this comes to production, Toyota needs to bring back the X-Runner! I will order on day 1!

Get ready to shell out some cash. A bone stock Tacoma runs $43,000 MSRP. I bet a X-Runner will cost $90,000 MSRP, but with Toyota Dealerships mindset. I bet it will be a nice $20,000 premium due to limited number production. So it will be up there in the $110,000 price range the first year or two.
I remember seeing the x runner tacomas back in the 2010s and i thought that looked killer. This is on a different level. This has to make it into production. This looks sick

Man ever since I knew about X-Runners, it was my dream truck but they’re so hard to find and expensive too. If they put this into production I’ll definitely be getting my hands on one.

That engine in the TRD Pro would be something.
The older 4.0 would be a better power plant. Same motor in my 2011 trd sport 4x4. should have never discontinued it..

I like that x runner. That lowered stance is badass. Something different than lifted trucks for a change. I'd rather have the Toyota lettering on the grille blacked out.

I would take the venerable NA 3.5 V6 with a stick over this. Slower for sure, but so much more fun! Though the best would be the 5.7 V8 with a manual!!

The only thing garbage about the previous xrunner was the transmission, unless you swap ro T56

I agree. You don’t see sport trucks anymore. I remember growing up seeing guys turned their truck looking like that one. Now Toyota does it for you from factory and with performance engine. Me like this Tacoma 💪
Would be nice if they allow the TT v6 option on other models. So people aren’t restricted to just the Xrunner trim

Being an a current x-runner owner 2006. This truck is gorgeous! Couple things it needs. A rear window that drops down. Sunroof. And the suicide access door. And bring Back the manual. Other than that bravo Toyota. She’s a beaut!

Damn!!! Sweet truck, love how they have the body colored, low-pro tonneau cover! Reminds me of the “mini truck” phase during the 90’s.
Not a huge Toyota fan, but this is really cool. I'm digging the exterior mods, but also the fact that they went wild with the performance mods. So often, these trucks are mechanically stock, or run very mild modifications. This is insane.
If aftermarket makes a supercharger and a manual 6 speed conversion, that would be epic.
Finally a lowered stock truck!

That law requiring us to buy cars from dealers needs to be abolished.
This would be definitely a great sport car for the cold weather we have where I live. Winter tires and this would still be an option to drive in the winter time! I would definitely think about getting one of this to myself. It's a perfect combination of sport and utility.

gorgeous color. if this goes into production it will really hurt the modification shops, because this will have a warranty. A very successful design; it screams street performance. A killer configuration, this would be very popular in LA.

I bought a brand new Xrunner back in 2005. It was fun for a truck, I ended up selling it with 115K miles. It was pretty trashed when I sold it.

You're killing me toyota. I already want your gurrola and now I want this for my business. I've had four Toyota trucks before my recent Nissan Titan from 2018 and the only reason I went away is because you didn't have a 6 1/2 ft bed with the full crew cab in 2018 on New Year's eve. But I have always dug the X runner. One of my friends has an absolutely beautiful red one that he bought used and then put $100 of detailing into it and it just looks insane with all of these super sporty badass vehicles, you are winning me back quickly

My first vehicle was an 86 Toyota pickup with the 22RE turbo! The STi was always my childhood dream car, but in all honesty after having two STis its over for me…I miss my old truck and this would be combination of my STi and my pickup. I need this thing, please produce this Toyota ❤️

I still own my 2005 Tacoma XRunner and still enjoy it. The only disappointment is it doesn’t have the manual transmission. Hopefully the production will have the option of a manual transmission.

I had a 2010 x runner before and i loved it. Wish this one makes it into production. only thing im going to zonk is the hood. shoulda just made it same color as the truck and get rid of the red stripe.

I think it will be better served as a manual, it doesn’t even need the TT V6, that would keep the pricing down. As configured they will want nearly $60k.
