I recently played around with the engrave/emboss tool for the first time and was intrigued with the effect it produces. I'm on PE10. Need to go back and play again after watching this! Thank you!
I have pe designs trial,I am very new to digitizing, and very interested. My main interest is taking either my artwork or clipart and making a design. Does this software do that?
JanTheNan I have never been motivated to perfect lace as there is already so much beautiful lace for sale at a good price. I would rather buy it from someone else for the few occasions I might need it. My favorites are Sue Box and Zundt. I have been trained mainly as a logo and wildlife digitizer.
OleensEmbroidery Thank you, will continue on my quest to find a tutorial for FSL. Thank you also for the tutorials you have written, I've had my NEXT for 18 months and am now starting to understand Top and Bottom.
I love your tutorials but I've been trying to do something that no one wants to tackle and I thought I would ask you. If you make a filled design and want to put text in the middle of the design and take away the stitches under the letters so that it isn't very thick is there a way to do this that you know of?
I would remove the stitching under the text (on the fill) using lesson 35 to removing holes and overlaps. But with text you must first go to the "ATTRIBUTES" tab and convert the text to "OUTLINE". Then you will have to "UNGROUP" the text. Now you can individually remove the overlaps of each letter by selecting it and the background (as described in lesson 35) then "REMOVE OVERLAPS". It works great but if you are having trouble I can make a short video for you.

Absolutely! I have found nothing that I could not "paint with thread" on this software. Check out my primitive web site. It is also a lot about what you learn on. There a lot of good softwares out there and if you are already an artist it would be easy for you to see your artwork in threads. You have to decide which software gives you the most educational support as there is a big learning curve between digitizing and .perfect sew outs. Back in the old days it was Brother doing that, and that is why I still love this software. Everything I had on my wish list, they delivered. I love this new Next. But sadly there is not enough educational support and seminars as they need. I am hoping that these tutorials start a new movement.

Loving your tutorials.
Do you have any tutorials for creating FSL please?
I am not sure what FLS is.
Sorry, FreeStanding Lace.
