Thank you for this information. I didn't know how to talk to an accompanist. I just thought you give them the music and they know what to do. I know this goes for any audition i.e. opera, musical theater, jazz, country, blues...the accompanist is half of your stellar performance. Must respect and give the accompanist what they need to make beautiful music together.
