Most people attack pop because it’s usually not as deep or musically complex as other genres of music and they equate that to it being bad. But music does not always have to be complex to be enjoyable and fun and impressive. Olivia’s songs are great and some people just can’t get over the fact that pop made by a young girl can be good

I think what I like most about this album is Liv's admission of her own self-destructive behavior and bad decision making. It is an album about the aftermath of the break up and an examination of what lead to it and the aftermath more than the immediate grieving of the last album

Aside from the subject matter being typical breakup stuff which I just don't care for, the production and vocal performances are nice and interesting enough. And the lyrics are by design cliche but they're still solid. I enjoyed this album way more than midnights, is what I'll say.
It's a good album. 7/10. Some smash hits. Some decent cuts, some duds. Sour is more sincere. This feels like a greatest hits comp, it doesn't work fluidly as an album experience. The good songs are too dominant and singler. Just my ears, therefore my opinion.
