Felt really sorry for you but please try to loose weight your only a young man and I don’t want you to have A premature heart attack, I’ve lost to many friends and family in the past Ride well and be happy !!! @@TrekkieMoto
Thankfully you were close to 0 Kms/h and didn’t get hurt. It still sucks thou ! I’ve been there done that ! After the first drop or scratch, things get easier. Take care
Bummer, glad you are OK. On loose surfaces, the uphill brake never works, the only way to stop the bike going backwards there is the downhill brake, in this case the rear.
I ride a lot of gravel. Cruiser and ADV. Once you get the hang of it, it gets easy. Also, that's not how you are supposed to pick up a bike! Your way is way harder. Check out a Motortrek video on it to see what I mean!
@@TrekkieMoto ooohh. I got you! btw, I watched a couple of your videos and enjoyed them. And forgive me if the above message sounded harsh. Re-reading it made me wish I had worded things differently! Anyways, keep up the good work!
Nah, we're totally cool. I did not read your comment as being harsh. What I'd like to do is get a little bit of off-road riding experience so I can get used to having the wheels move around under me. I've done a lot of riding but it's always been under good conditions where I haven't really had to think about it.
Wow, glad you and the bike weren't more damaged! That's never fun - looks like it just lost traction, stopped, and slid out from under you while backing itself down the hill! Also, I'm glad you were able to get it upright and presumably ride it home. Stay safe! I avoid gravel for the same reasons... except my current bike is 2x the weight, so I do not look forward to ever having to lift that!
That was tough to watch - it looked like the bike just started to slide out from under you and down the hill. Glad you and the bike aren't too banged up.
Buddy of mine went down on gravel while trying to slow himself down quickly. I try to avoid gravel at all costs, my bike is close to 700 lbs so I never want to have to lift that monster.
Just a tip for you in the future. Keep power going to the rear wheel with frequent gentle revving when on a surface like that as it helps to keep the bike upright. Glad you're ok a little shaken but ok. Good job you had the panniers and crash bars as they seemed to have taken most of the force.
Absolutely a terrible feeling. Sucks to drop.
But also gotta lift with the knees.
My knees are shot already!
Well mate u made a balls of that one! U mentioned it weighed 450 11b, did that mean u or the bike ? Glad ur ok to ride another day ride safe!!!
The bike weighs 450. I weighed another 420 on top of that. I'm happy to say I have had no further tumbles. 👍🏻

Thank you for your concern. Currently on a weight loss program so keep watching!
Omg, that was so painful to see it going. Hope you are safe and well. Please keep us updated. Stay safe mate 😊🖖🏽

I was actually using the rear brake, but it wasn't enough. I just got unlucky. 🤷🏻♂️
@@TrekkieMoto Steep, loose and street tires. Sorry man, at least you are OK.
How could I in good conscience click that I like this video? Glad you're okay
Any interaction is always welcome!
Bud!! I'm really glad you are ok! That fine gravel will get you. Wise choice staying off of those roads from now on.
I just kept getting worse after I passed the point where doing a U-turn was feasible. Oh well, you live and learn, I guess. 🤷🏻♂️

I know you aren't supposed to pick up a bike that way, but unfortunately I have issues with my knees that prevented me from doing it the proper way.

Pleased you are OK, sorry to see that, I have been there myself. Greetings from South Australia. Take care.

I put my feet down but they slid just as quickly as front wheel. Momentum + Inertia = Facepalm

I could barely lift what I had, let alone 700lbs. Eff that!
Glad you are OK. I really enjoyed the video, the tension waiting for the crash. Is that wrong?
Not at all. Having suffered the unfortunate incident, I did my best to cut it for dramatic effect. 😉
I haven’t been on RUclips in a while, and I was very sad to see this video in your uploads… Glad you’re OK though
These things happen. No real harm done.
Ouch!!! Feel for you; a horrible experience
But also a LEARNING experience, so it's all good. 👍🏻
Lift with your knees buddy! Good exploring tho
My old man knees can't take it these days.
That was so intense, a real nail biter
Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm fine thank you. Just a little soreness.
I wasn't able to give it a thumbs up, sorry...

I would never willingly ride my beautiful Bonnie on such roads.
Well, you got up and carried on riding, I presume?
I did indeed. I had no idea I was going to be riding into deep gravel until I got there! I'd never been on that road before.
DEWD. How much do you weigh?
Almost as much as the bike. 😳
Glad you're ok, guess it could've been worse. Go have a beer.
Thanks, brother.
