Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting, X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER, and Gradius II (PC ENGINE CD Version)!
Have you played the English patched version of Metal Max 3 DS ?
Star Ocean: The Divine Force, Radio The Universe, Hunt The Night
I enjoy the relaxed nature of these videos. Like I'm sitting in the room with you guys just hanging out.
Thanks! Glad to hear!
Completely agree!!
I "borrowed" and never returned Legend of the Dragoon from a friend when I was 10 and absolutely loved it. Was always surprised for how much I loved it nobody had heard of it
Nice list! Legend of Dragoon is phenomenal and I hope the rumors of a Remake are real because that would be a Day 1 purchase for me! That and Parasite Eve 1, please bring it back already! My last 3 games that I've complete are Trails of Cold Steel 1, 2, 3 and I'm currently playing 4. I had never played any of them and I'm now addicted lol! Great video and keep up the good work!
That's so cool you are knocking out the Cold Steel games! Those games really resonated with me. I really enjoyed them all but 2 is probably still my favorite!
Fun fact about Legend of Dragoon, there is are two items for the additions…Warhol Calling and Ultimate Wargod. Ultimate Wargod costs 10000 gold and can buy multiple of them. When equipped the item does the additions system for you. No more button mashing. Plus, the reason it sort of flopped over seas is that their version is actually harder than the version we got.
I've been playing Super Mario RPG on SNES. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow DS. And Alice Returns on PS3 which I just beat today, very underrated game.
Legend of Dragoon is so marvelouse its even hard to tell how. It is just PERFECT jrpg
your channel is a hidden gem man
Thanks so much!
Great video! I am playing Brave Fencer Musashi, and I have Grandia up next.
Oh rock on! I need to checkout Brave Fencer Musashi
I played it as a kid, and I was awful. Now as an adult, I am enjoying it a lot.
What a great list of games you fellas have been playing! Vampire Hunter D is now on my list! Survival horror to me HAS to have tank controls or I’m not even interested so this calls to me!!! Haha Dragon Age origins is so good! I can imagine switching to PC controls would be a change for sure. Paper Mario is one I need to revisit. I’m a HUGE fan of the Mario and Luigi’ as well as the paper Mario series but the original paper Mario has somehow eluded me. Since it’s on NSO, I’ll definitely make my rounds soon. BROTHER HALLOWED! THE LEGEND OF DRAGOON! Finally!!! Yes!!! The holy grail of my recommendations!!! A jrpg hasn’t blown me away since like that game did when I was 11! The additions, Dragoons, character story progression, plot twists and tragedies will blown any jrpg fan away! LAVITZ 😭Probably the first time I ever cried from a video game lol Loved this vid so much! Thanks for sharing both of your experiences as always!
Now and Forever #HallowedBeThyGamers 🤘
Dude I cannot tank you enough for recommending it to me! Truly an earth shattering experience and I loved it with all my heart. LAVITZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dang it is so good. Thanks for everything man and I hope you have an incredible weekend!
Games I'm playing through now? Dragon Quest 4 DS, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (Gamecube but playing on Wii) and Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons
Some games ive been playing:
Since i finally got a ps5- cyberpunk.
Also downloaded a game called demon skin that is difficult with the nostalgia of a game like.....bear with me.....another world (snes). It oddly reminded me of another world. I think its the feel of the controls.
Also....gas station simulator lol. I dont know why but I like it.
Most recent impulse buys i haven't played yet were genesis alpha one and gunstriker volt collection.
Recently juggling
1. Xenoblade 3 going back to beat the game to play the new dlc.
2. Shadowrun trilogy
3. Soul Hackers 2
4. Omori
Quality games
Megaman Network Collection (jumping in and out on others so this might last all year), Heroland (Switch), Xenoblade 3
I can always go back to FF6. I played all but RE3 back in the day. I suggest Parrisite Eve 1 and 2 if on an RE3 kick an RPG fan.
Hollywood Video killed by Blockbuster killed by Netflix killed by ??? Where I rented most of me NES/SNES games.
So, um, I've been playing Tears of the Kingdom. And, Tears of the Kingdom. And...yep, that's all I've been playing in my limited spare time in May. I will say, there are some good games here, including Paper Mario which I didn't understand as a child, but I've grown to like over the years and consider among my fave N64 games.
looks awesome. im playing mh rise for the past year, but I am always dabbling with other games
Rock on! I hear Rise is amazing
On Legend of Dragoon - this was the first game I chose for myself growing up, and remains my favorite RPG. My only complaint is, the western release is way, way, WAY too easy. Defend heals you by 10% of your HP, halves damage you take, and gives you status immunity. Most enemies, many bosses included, will never out-damage your defend healing. For whatever reason, on my first playthrough, I never moved past the easiest additions, and I actually spent over a hour fighting the final boss, completely unkillable because defend was just too strong.
With limited access to magic and items, there'd be a lot of room for really trying to juggle your healing resources if they just put a bit more love and thought into difficulty. I'd love to have seen just how much harder the original release was.
That's a realy good point, it was crazy strong haha
Another SPECTACULAR video!🎉🎉🎉😁💖 Really enjoyed it! And I'm glad you finally stepped up and played Final Fantasy X. So proud of ya! Spiritfarer is calling you next...take it one step at a time😂
3 Games which I've played recently:
💀🔥 SKULLGIRLS 2ND ENCORE(PS Vita)
One of most animated backgrounds in a 2D fighting game. Skullgirls is just phenomenal and is also one of the rare fighting games to be taking place in the prohibition era vibe. Though the artstyle varies extensively from the Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat, the character animations are just unique and so well thought out. Funny dialogues, interesting locales, passable story and a music score that's just too jazzy for this world.
💍🔥 FIRE EMBLEM ENGAGE(Switch Lite)
Wowowowow!!! This game is GORGEOUS! It certainly has the best visuals of any FE game till now. Some characters are ridiculously over-the-top fun to witness whereas some characters were just there to blend into the (usually beautiful) backdrop. Battle mechanics looks smoother and sharper than it's predecessor, but it's story lacks the seriousness and dramatic flair of 3 Houses, but still an entertaining story in its own right....uniting the various hidden FE games under a single banner as a 'last hurrah', was a very nostalgic touch. 9/10....only on the merit of Sommie! ☺ Sommie is the best..
🌿🗡SHINOBIDO 2 REVENGE OF ZEN (PS Vita)
For a game whose visuals are stuck in the past, this one has some real forward thinking ideas. Being a ninja-for-hire, serving any of the 3 Daimiyos (Lords) of your allegiance, while waiting to take your revenge for your fallen partner. You can set explosive traps, poison foes, steal enemy food supplies to weaken their forces in future missions, use the famous 'Fukurou' flying cloth to glide over hapless guards and be the personal bodyguard of your own Lord (the AI is totall whack though as your own forces may attack you if you even bump into one of them by accident 😂). A very good game which has elements of stealth, diplomacy and precision, to be a unique version of a 'stealth game' unlike the other copy-paste titles riding on this genre.
Will put my question in another tweet as this one may be too long 😅💖 Wish you a beautiful week ahead, Ren! Praise be unto Yevon 😅
In terms of new stuff for now is going through Tears of the Kingdom little by little when I can especially getting the costumes with the amiibos lol, Batman Arkham Knight, and just like you maybe go through Final Fantasy 10 again.
Totk is so massive! Haha I’m working through that too
whats the song playing in the background during you talking about ffx?
When you do these intros with a few random clips from games, could you put the titles in the bottom corner some place? I would love it.
Dragon Age is kind of the epitome of the Wrstern Fantasy rpg. It’s the goat of it’s genre and the sex is fabulous 😁
Haha no lies detected!
Still chipping away at tears of the kingdom. Started up metal gear solid 4, and replaying mafia 1 remake.
Nothing super old school, but I did pick up a cib copy of pokemon red for the game collection.
Hey congrats on the new Pokémon game! That’s my favorite gen of Pokémon haha
I've played Persona 3 Portable,Fire Emblem Engage and Like a Dragon Ishin in the last time
Now that's a heck of a lineup!
Play black souls 1 you will love it 😊
Dark Rose Valkyrie
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Fairy Fencer F Refrain Chord
1) Xenoblade 2 - as with Xenoblade 1 I droped it. To big, to empty (like most open world games) and to much side stuff so it's hard to focus on the main story.
2) 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim - this is pure gold in game format. Best story I played in my ~30 years of gaming experience.
3) Hardcore Mecha - ehh.. not bad, but I played better games in this genre. I don't think I will be coming back to it.
I actually started using my steamdeck as an emulator
Re2 the ps1 Version is the first i started
Up until now everyone seid that re survivir is really Bad from voice acting to combat its really shitty xD but maybe thats the fun
And its playable but Short so yeah naybe its like watching a Bad movie
It can be fun
Nice vid though
Steam Deck emulation is truly a game changer. Thanks for watching!
Its really good you can change the Internet resolution and play the games as crisp as it can get and btw
Did you ever considered making a Video from your collection? I am Sure you have a good one thats worth Looking at
Been playing a whole lot of Tears of the Kingdom, bit of a boring answer I know.
1. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on my PS3 Slim
2. ~My Brother~ Rabbit on my Switch Lite
3. Crysis on my Xbox 360 S
FFX has brought me to tears so many times. I recently just beat all the shadow aeons and now Penance. It's an amazingly beautiful story, IDC what anyone says, it's a game that will always have a special place in my heart and it's easily in my top 5 greatest games of all time.
It really is that good and absolutely worthy to be in anyone's top 5 of all time!
I've only ever had Nintendo consoles. If I could go back in time I would definitely get myself a Playstation and experience their exclusive games. Presently playing Zelda BOTW for the first time and am blown away by it. Thanks for the vid 👏
Felt the same way about RE Survivor and other RE spin-offs in the late-90s/early 2000s-didn’t want to play any of them. But more open to trying them now-Survivor looks alright. Was late to LOD too, only playing it in 2015. Got to the last boss but couldn’t finish and never have. Soundtrack was awesome.
So happy to get another video this soon Ren, hope everything is going well and you're all happy and healthy at home! Also, hope you're getting some sleep and enjoying time with your new addition!
Thanks so much Mikey! We are all doing great (just mega sleep deprived haha) We are so excited and feeling very fortunate we have a healthy newborn! Hope you are doing great and that you have an excellent weekend!
Xenoblade Chronicles DE, FF Theatrerhythm, and Final Fantasy (the OG - so much nostalgia!). Great video guys!
Love the retro love!!! One day I will beat FFX...I quit because of Yunalesca years ago so I want to restart it now and see if I can do it!
Gosh yeah Yunalesca is a pretty big difficulty spike! But FFX is so incredible, hope you enjoy it!
Not as old school, but I've been playing final Fantasy 12 for the first time. Really enjoying it so far
Aladdin on SNES (lol)
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon on DS
Yakuza 0 on Xbox Series X
Also just curious, what microphone do you guys use?
Diablo 4... tho my internet went down on the second of this month while i was playing and hasnt come back up since. What a waste of money 😅 . Besides that Cyberpunk 2077, and .Hack G.U. collection
I'll never understand the love for legend of dragoon, give me beyond the beyond first lol
Paper Mario is the first game I finished and the first game I played enough to be able to speedrun it in one sitting!
Dang that’s awesome!
Sword of the vagrant, ori and tales of vesperia.
Absolute banger lineup
FFX is the last FF game that really hit me emotionally. Ive played 12-15 (not much 14) and enjoyed them, but the old FF games hit differently.
@mushy believe it or not I beat it. It took a few tries to get into it but eventually I went all the way through. I like how the bosses were kinda more like puzzles than straight forward RPG battles.
