    Ward is an Olympic Gold Medalist and undisputed world champion, in a brutal weightclass too. His technique IS the standard, not what some broke hillbilly taught u at a tae kwan doe storefront. Plus, this is training, actual boxing is in ring fighting. This sport is not a contest of form, like figure skating is. Even so, his form is stellar.

      +BreuckelensFinest na he is right, if he wants to move up in weight almost certain he is gonna a have to lift weights, as long as he focus on plymytrics ur talking about like bodybuilding style of lifting weights.but in 2016 there is certainly a place for weights in boxing especially when one is moving up in weight like Roy Jones moving up to hw he did a good amount of weights u can find it on utube somewhere

    • @Nick-iw1zh
      @Nick-iw1zh 8 лет назад

      +BreuckelensFinest Yep you are 100 percent correct . Weights create push power when explosive power is needed if done incorrectly Plus bulky muscles tax and gasses quickly. Gaining weight would be done firsts with diet then through Olympic style lifts for fast twitch, not slow stress and release type lifting. Never.

    Very impressive handspeed, footwork and workout overall. Andre is absolute best in jumping ropes. One difference between his workout and that of Kovalev and GGG is that the latter do a lot of stretching exercises, which is probably a wise tactic, because this is good prevention against knee injuries to which Andre is prone. Have you ever noticed that Kovalev and Golovkin are seldom injured if at all?

    • @Swifthandz7
      @Swifthandz7 10 лет назад

      I like Ward; he is a talented fighter..but the best in all of boxing? You must be kidding.
      If you credit him with fighting a previous opponent like Froch, I can understand..as Froch has faced and defeated some notable names in the sport. Dawson was drained in his fight with Ward...so drained, he ended up quitting. Fair enough, Dawson campaigned to fight Ward at 168..but his performance may have been somewhat different, had the fight been at..or at least nearer..to 175. Abraham? Gimme a break He was protected by fighting a laundry list of no names in Germany..then, prior to his loss to Ward, also lost to the only other two notable names on his resume: Carl Froch and Andre Dirrell. After his loss to Ward, he ran right back to Germany to defeat more no names. Instead of Abraham, I think Kessler is a bit better as a reference as one of Ward's previous opponents. .
      Ward has been burdened with troubles, regarding his promotion etc...so those issues have taken a toll on his activity in the ring..one of the reasons why he has not been considered as much; nothing to do with his skill as a fighter.

    Hopkins was before Prison which he wasn't even good by then and it was a very close fight. Hopkins beat him on the rematch and he was waaaay older than Jones! So that's not a great win... Virgil Hill fought nobody before Jones and was his 1st test... Montel Griffin had a good record but wasnt no star or didnt beat no one before facing Jones. The only good win was vs James Toney dude! Which is known as the only notable big win in Roy Jones Career! Im not the one saying that so argue w/ the world.

    Ward is a super middleweight that means the weight Martinez needs to make is 168.That's catch weight for Ward and an easy win for Ward. Martinez already said a match with Pacquiao would just be plain out unfair. He's not interested in Pacquaio. He's interested in Mayweather who fights super welterweight.All of Martinez's weigh ins are 159 at most so 168 is far stretching it to weigh in. 10 Pounds is a whole different boxer.....

    Mayweather is little? I thought he fought in Welter Weight (154) 5'8 to give him an excuse to dodge Pacquiao? Well, Martinez is actually a Welter Weight who's fighting at 160 because Cotto, Mayweather, Canelo and everyone in the Welter Weight division are a bunch of cowards. Martinez picks on smaller people? Palvik, Paul Williams, and CHAVEZ ( A FUCKEN CRUISERWEIGHT MAN) were eaten by Martinez. Chavez Jr will be eaten too. Martinez is a 154 man he can barely make 165 at fight night... Ward=168+

    First comment was joke. Second comment is about boxing and the reality of it. as he said I don't have a fucking clue about it. I don't follow it much anymore. Was fan, But someone just told me Ward made Froch look amateur. Do you think across the board anyone gay is bad. With no exceptions. Alot of gay people.

    Martinez is still a welterweight. If Chavez Jr. can make 160 then that's fine. Tell Ward to go down to 160 and fight Martinez in middleweight. Why would Martinez (154) want to fight at 168 and give Ward a catch weight advantage? Martinez can't even make 168 come fight night...I wouldn't mind Ward dehydrating to fight Martinez at middleweight lol

    Ward is concentrating on keeping his hands moving on the bad and placing is shots, and from the looks of that its possibly a 150-200lb bag, which means its not gonna move but soo much. he doesn't even have to put 100percent on his punches to have an effective heavy bag work out. but trust he is laying hands on it
