This is why he looked like he was a magician in his fights. He’s the most prepared and dedicated technician EVER. No magic, just hard work and dedication.
At no point during the bag workout does he lose form or technique. His arms don’t sag, punches don’t soften, no breaks, no gasping for air. He’s as sharp the last minute as he was the first. Always sharp.
@@user-ls1do9ld2r It's the good quality top notch Grant bag and gloves.. When I hit on a Venum bag in my gym with my Everlast Pro Style gloves it makes crisp sounds too it's nothing phenomenal
Nobody ever gave Roger credit for being able to remember such long combo strings during mitts. These are long complicated strings of punching and movement, only true fighters and trainers can keep track of combos and movements this long. RIP
Well he was a 2 division world champion as a fighter, and helps that Floyd is his nephew so he knows his tendencies and they have a natural connection which makes communication easier. Having a long history memorizing combos, plus knowing the fighter you're training since a baby really helps.
Idgaf what you say, no one EVER is training as hard and at the pace Floyd did. No breaks, just constant work. He had the best trainer in Roger, yet still corrected him on the mits. They made a great team and the trainers knew they had to be just as on point when training a guy like Floyd. Just so fascinating to watch. He was literally born to box.
Mayweather's mittwork doesn't work accuracy or skills, they are all about conditioning and defense. It's all about throwing little love taps for 15 minutes while training shoulder defense.
brmillgr Every kind of training is for muscle memory, actually. In fact, boxing training is basically "Repeat the same movement so much that even unconscious you'll be able to do it".
One thing i wanna point out is how he trains perfectly fine and normal with a hundred people in their flashing their cameras and taking videos, his mentality is just 100% at any time
I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
Iv recently started learning this pad work and starting to get more fluent in it and it is the most exhausting thing ever. I'm amaze of the duration of how long and fresh he looks. Fascinating
he'is a machiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine 4:25 lemme work lemme work u're ok but letme work look at this work damn its hard work hit the mitts but working the head's movements too IN EVERY MITT WORK THEY 'RE ADDING OTHERS COMBINATIONS and all the time chewing gum (its not for fashion or for fun but for harden his chin)maidana has no chance floyd will knock him out and it will be 46-0 cuz hard work and dedication HARD WORK !!!!
he looks very very fast. punching, slipping and catching while moving backwards. always in balance. turning the the guy while throwing hard punches. this kind of training is one of the reasons why is still at the top. and he throws hard body punches as seen at 14:00. his inside game is as good as his defense and his movement. And to top it off, the guy doesn't get tired... "NEVER TIRED" hahaha
Whether you hate him or like him this dude work ethic is insane I've seen Ali,Leonard,Hagler,Hearns,De La Hoya,Manny, Roy Jones etc all the greats workout nobody can match his skill set.
We won’t see anything like him again in this lifetime, he ticked every single box for 10/10 other than concussive power after his hands where knackered, other than that he’s a perfect fighter
The lady: “Do you want me?”….lol 😂 Floyd: in the middle of sparring: “no, no, no, let me work, let me work, let me work”… lol 😂 The lady: “ see I knew they were lying, they said you wanted me”.. Floyd: “nah, you okay baby”.. Lol 😂 Now that’s skills lol 😂
Man, I wish I could of had a coach who would just dust me down with the pads and turn me into a legend LOL. I guess it's a muscle memory technique but I would love to hear Floyd explain it as with his right hand especially there is times it doesn't move and Uncle Roger is hitting the pads off his gloves. To the RUclips haters, especially the Karens and Millinieals, I'm saying this because even though I have 32 years of combat training I can't work it out. Other world champ boxers don't understand it either. Im posting this to learn and not have negative comments from little Internet bitches.
*Question* Can somebody please tell me why his distance to the bag or pads always seems a little bit too close? He never uses his full reach. In a straight punch, like a jab there is not half as much power when you don't stretch the arm. So why does he always do that. Because he Does stretch the arms in an actual fight, so why not during training?
Milan Smidt maidana in a close in fighter... he works the inside... Floyd working both.. distance with Roger.. close in with bag... U heard him tell Roger step back ... He knows.. lol been in there too long.. like giving candy to a baby
Floyd could have WAAAY more knoccouts if he wanted. But instead of giving his opponents the easy way out, he would rather WHIP they ass for 12 rounds lmao
Floyd goes slow on the heavy bag and that's an important thing to look out for. Slow, get the form right, get the visualization right and then speed up when you need too. Always fundamentals first. That's why he is a master at his craft.
This is why he looked like he was a magician in his fights. He’s the most prepared and dedicated technician EVER. No magic, just hard work and dedication.
Someone said he was the "Kobe" of boxing. A hint to his work ethic and preperation.
At no point during the bag workout does he lose form or technique. His arms don’t sag, punches don’t soften, no breaks, no gasping for air. He’s as sharp the last minute as he was the first. Always sharp.
He's the cleanest puncher I have ever seen . Every punch is crisp and sharp . On fight night his punches are immaculate

Its not his own mitt combos its what his father and his uncle taught him

@ 10:56 Roger messed up the count or something and Floyd wasnt ready but he still was able to slip the right hand. Looks like he still saw it coming.
That is a different kind of focus. No distractions, consistency and all confidence! That man deserves everything he has🥊🥊
Masterful Mittwork, its not all about power and how hard you hit the mitt, its skill, accuracy and technical defense.
