Dont neglect your friend talking about being ahead of "cs timers". It was the meta for this era... there was so much cs/interrupt during this time. Also I think double mage became a thing because of teams like reckful/talbadar. It looks meme but it wasnt. Holy priest/mage was the meme to combat shadow damage/rogues. That or druid ANYTHING. I forgot to say this clip SHOULD be legend. At this time the toolkit of mage clicks/gcd was more than locks if i remember correct.

    reminds me of a guy I knew was trolling arenas with double DK and ran into a big named streamer. I wont say the names.
    The difference was he was basically exploiting a flaw in the arena system at the time. His fellow DK did die because he didn't know how to play, but, at time, if you knew how to play, DK's were unkillable in arenas.
    He drug out the fight for a really long time, then went /dance to let the streamer win.
    The streamer was so triggered, lol.

    Mv favorite part of the video is ABN throwing and standing still while Jahmilli was probably dying laughing and saying they had to make it look good. Wonder how much rich kid Xaryu paid for this career launch/manufactured viral moment. Jah and ABN threw again a bit later but were much more sarcastic about it facing the wrong way etc. It's prob why Jah hates Xaryu. Dude prob got paid for the 2 v 1 (he was poor and his dad left his family) and Xaryu kept pushing it as legit years later. Almost no pro players had jobs or money and only a few kids like Pikaboo were good enough to play with them. Their income was selling rating to people that were never good enough to compete...

    • @FortyTwoVodkas
      @FortyTwoVodkas Год назад

      I dunno about payment, but those guys were double glad, and they would've noticed that Xar and his friend went out with double LB which is literally trolling, when I played Dota 2 at a decently high rank, if you were playing against some good players and they saw you going for some troll build or you were significantly lower skilled, they would also sometimes pivot to a more 'fun' build or playstyle to give you a chance and to have fun themselves.
      Anyway, if those double glads wanted to, they could've made a career for themselves again, but back in the day since there was no money in it, the only people who ended up making a career out of streaming, were those who boosted it by spamming YT videos even though there was no money in it.
      Most people just streamed their gameplay on twitch for 0-5 viewers and hoped that being good was enough.
      While it generally is, you do need to show it to people one way or another, they just didn't have the savvy for how.

      @@FortyTwoVodkas ABN was the ultimate troller. Look up when he sabotaged Xaryu's 3000 rating as a joke when playing with him. Xaryu was darn near in tears. Why? Cus that rating was purchased. No one cared about rating at that point. They knew they could sell it actually afford rent and they didn't need the top ranking to qualify and it meant nothing. Xaryu is better than 99 percent of WoW, but he's not a tournament player. Neither was ABN at that point.
      When was this game? 5 in the morning to even get that MMR matchup? There is a reason all the pros played REALLY late night. They made more money with sales than tournaments. Even Whaazz was busted. Reckful did it so much he had his account banned for account sharing/boosting. You think people who grew up poor like Jahmilli who had no Dad wasn't selling? Any player saying they never sold rating is a liar. It's also why Asmongold used to get glad. He's legit a 1700 player. The pros and sellers let him get rating to boost visibility and he played a hunter who sold carriers. It's why Asmon rarely streamed it unless no one was queuing at the time and they could make sure of a matchup they could throw.
      Sorry arena isn't what you think it is. Xaryu is entertaining he helps people with guides, but he's not even close to the best mage. He's gotten much better at dueling though. :)

      @@hackintosh3899 I mean thank you for explaining, I didn't really know all this so it was nice to get some insight, dunno how much of it is necessarily true, but seems legit enough since I know Reckful sold arena carries to like Saudi rich kids as well, which is how he earned a vast majority of his money.
      Anyway, I guess the decision to buy these carries was ultimately the right one since they had a good personality for streaming and just needed some #ad to get views :D
