Victory is the single from the 2015 Two Steps From Hell album "Battlecry" and it has an incredible sound. I had heaps of requests to play this one so I hope that you enjoy it! Another Thomas Bergersen masterpiece!
I did my best to stay true to the style of this epic music in my piano version so there's a fair bit of big stuff in there!
Full disclosure: I use a bit of editing magic to make these videos as I don't have time to learn them like I would for a concert performance!
I know that there's other piano versions of Victory and at first I wondered why people were asking me to play it - Mark Fowler already has a video of Victory. But I guess people wanted to hear it in my interpretation! I also kept in mind that since there's already other people who've played Victory, that sets the bar for me and I have to aim higher. Otherwise I'd pretty much be doing what someone's already done!
When I hear Victory, I can imagine being part of an army in some fantasy novel, cheering as we've won the battle. It's a very cool feeling and I tried to portray that in my playing!
Two Steps From Hell is hands down my favourite trailer music. The way Thomas Bergersen crafts this music is incredible and it's an absolute pleasure to arrange it for piano, it works so well! I try my best to get that big sound too, as best I can because the originals are such epic music and I have to pick and choose which parts to keep on the piano. I only have two hands!

Listen to akmigone's arrangement. It's a good option too.
@@lg-800-shooter7 Patrick isn't bad, but he's make things more complex than they should. This interpretation is fluid and natural. There's nothing too much, nothing too little. It's well-balanced. Patrick's one, despite being good, is nowhere close to that. There are way too many things that don't need to be. I do prefer Andrew's version, and I am not saying the other is bad. It is, in my opinion, just that things get complicated for no reason ^^
@@ChuckLennon I don’t quite agree with you. In my opinion, Patrik makes it more emotional and closer to the original version. I love Andrew’s version but find it a little empty compared to patrik’s. But again, it’s only my opinion😄

Darthzilla 1987 Dude I've been thinking about that for months.. Thomas is ridiculous. That's a Wrap showed me Thomas could do it. That song has the style of Star Wars in some parts with fast trumpets and fancy melodies. I would watch that movie just to hear his score if he did it...

Well as a musician I love that expression in his face at 3:50 when he perfectly played the climax of the piece and then the following bars had an amazing beat.
This actually brought tears to my eyes such an emotional piece of music.

Your ability to switch from soft, flowing, melodic to a powerful, driving and punchy yet still reserved all in the same time and transitioning back and forth so smoothly and seamlessly all to make a long drawn out crescendo to an all-in, powerful and driving, no holds barred climax in the music. - a D minor makes reference to "démineur" in french, which means "bomb-disposal expert".

When i listen to your performance, the thrill and grandeur of the original song are conveyed as it is! I searched for tsfh's piano performance and heard your high c's. Other piano performances did not feel grand, but I felt it in your performance. I like magnificent tunes. And you will always save the grandeur. I like your performance so much.

Now this is an inspiring interpretation of an already inspiring piece of music.
While listening, I was imagining a performance with one person playing this on piano, and a young woman doing a combination of ballet and fighting moves while clad in pseudo-armor and holding a sword, with actors coming on stage as enemy to be slaughtered by her (and the "bodies" running off once the spotlight is no longer on them, so they can slightly change their costume and re-enter later in the performance). Then I imagined at the end, there are no more enemy and the young woman wipes her sword with a cloth and puts it back into its scabbard then during the final few notes she adopts a reverent head-down pose as though mourning for the enemy she killed. She may be a warrior, but she still has a heart.
