So glad it was helpful! My daughter is enjoying this curriculum! We are also doing Master Books Elementary Geography and Cultures which I think is similar to their new U.S. Geography course. I am sure either would be a great choice! Notgrass is a bit more story format and the Master Books is a bit more of reading facts from the geography books.
Thanks for a great flip through. In your opinion, could I teach the states in any order I want? For instance, I live in Oregon, so I’d prefer to start with the western states and move across the US from left to right instead. I’d still do them by region, just the regions in a different order.
If you don't mind flipping around in the books that would work. It is all done by regions. The Pacific is the last region, so you could work backwards through the books, as they start in New England and work across to the Pacific.

We have done American History with Masterbooks America's Story before doing this, but I don't think it would matter which came first.
Yes, at the end of each Lesson it tells you which book and what chapter to read. We are not following their schedule exactly, because we use them as our read alouds at night and so we often also read some on weekends.

The workbook has lay flat binding so if you bend it back in the middle and pop it, it should lay flat for you :)
