At this stage of the construction, houses are still to be dismantled from the path where the bridge is due to be located? Why can't the management of the Ramada team up with the relevant agencies to clean that trench and landscape the area infront of the business place , that place looks unsightly
Apart from the “Red Road”, the government has already built over 5 similar roads from the East Bank to the Heroes/Mandela Highway. So, the red road is not the only one, other roads were already completed before the red road.
The extra trade and travel that the free bridge brings will boost the Georgetown and surrounding economy, and so it will pay for itself in a roundabout way. That's the government's logic behind the decision.
Plz don't try to be political..do your thing, idk if you know that apnu try their best to rigg the last election..so gy is developing but obviously it's some hiccups along the way ..third world thinking would be there for a while for ots been there for decades upon decades
What do we have the oil and petroleum money there for? Isn’t that enough revenue or money to make bridges free? Some people were saying give out “oil money” to every Guyanese family, every year. Forget about building all of these infrastructures. University of Guyana will be free, next year.
that would be the most stupid decision a government could do for it's people, most Guyanese don't know how to manage their money and go gamble and bet and do drugs and drink out their money.
I said the same thing first time I heard about free travel on the bridge, the fact it's funded by loan from a foreign country it will cost the people something
There is no free service ,someone pays either the user or the taxpayer.I believe that the free pass will be for a short time until reality checks in and tools are charged.😊

Thanks for the video. Looks nice. Coming along. Safe travels.
The name on the billboard in foreign language seems to be Italian, I think they're the persons or consultants for the project
Thanks for sharing

Tax
They need to keep the old bridge for commercial traffic/trucks
Bad idea to take a loan for this bridge
Depends on how you look at it.
