What are you talking about? They are focusing on the exact text of the appendices this season, which is a few sentences of text might I add. It was sealed and bore his device of white stars upon a blue rondure." Unfinished Tales, Part 2, Ch 2, Aldarion and Erendis ... "When Aldarion left the chamber, Meneldur looked at the letter that his son had given him, wondering; for he saw that it came from King Gil-galad in Lindon. It was sealed and bore his device of white stars upon a blue rondure. Upon the outer fold was written: Given at Mithlond to the hand of the Lord Aldarion King's Heir of Númenórë, to be delivered to the High King at Armenelos in person. Then Meneldur broke the seal and read: Ereinion Gil-galad son of Fingon to Tar-Meneldur of the line of Eärendil, greeting: the Valar keep you and may no shadow fall upon the Isle of Kings. Long I have owed you thanks, for you have so many times sent to me your son Anardil Aldarion: the greatest Elf-friend that now is among Men, as I deem. At this time I ask your pardon, if I have detained him overlong in my service; for I had great need of the knowledge of Men and their tongues which he alone possesses. He has dared many perils to bring me counsel. Of my need he will speak to you; yet he does not guess how great it is, being young and full of hope. Therefore I write this for the eyes of the King of Númenórë only. A new shadow arises in the East. It is no tyranny of evil Men, as your son believes; but a servant of Morgoth is stirring, and evil things wake again. Each year it gains in strength, for most Men are ripe to its purpose. Not far off is the day, I judge, when it will become too great for the Eldar unaided to withstand. Therefore, whenever I behold a tall ship of the Kings of Men, my heart is eased. And now I make bold to seek your help. If you have any strength of Men to spare, lend it to me, I beg. Your son will report to you, if you will, all our reasons. But in fine it is his counsel (and that is ever wise) that when assault comes, as it surely will, we should seek to hold the Westlands, where still the Eldar dwell, and Men of your race, whose hearts are not yet darkened. At the least we must defend Eriador about the long rivers west of the mountains that we name Hithaeglir: our chief defence. But in that mountain-wall there is a great gap southward in the land of Calenardhon; and by that way inroad from the East must come. Already enmity creeps along the coast towards it. It could be defended and assault hindered, did we hold some seat of power upon the nearer shore. So the Lord Aldarion long has seen. At Vinyalondë by the mouth of Gwathló he has long laboured to establish such haven, secure against sea and land; but his mighty works have been in vain. He has great knowledge in such matters, for he has learned much of Círdan, and he understands better than any the needs of your great ships. But he has never had men enough; whereas Círdan has no wrights or masons to spare. The King will know his own needs; but if he will listen with favour to the Lord Aldarion, and support him as he may, then hope will be greater in the world. The memories of the First Age are dim, and all things in Middle-earth grow colder. Let not the ancient friendship of Eldar and Dúnedain wane also. Behold! The darkness that is to come is filled with hatred for us, but it hates you no less. The Great Sea will not be too wide for its wings, if it is suffered to come to full growth. Manwë keep you under the One, and send fair wind to your sails. Unfinished Tales, Part 2, Ch 2, Aldarion and Erendis Gil-galad shows himself here to be perceptive and proactive, he is well aware of evil stirring in the world...though does not know exact source. He is reasonable, friendly, likeable and wise, capable to forsee things and plan ahead...as an immortal elf they would no doubt learn how to use time to their advantage.

5:20 No, Osgiliath wasn't an outpost. It was the capital city of Gondor from the foundation of the kingdom, and was the City of Stars. The white tree was called Nimloth. And it is clearly not it in middle Earth yet. The White tree seedlings is getting brought from Numenor in middle Earth after it gets sunk. So yes, it can’t be in Minas Anor (later known as so Minas Tirith) or Minas Ethil (later known as Minas Morgul).

Tom Bombadil is the personification of harmony and Ungoliant is the personification of discord. They were the first beings to come into existence from the music of the Ainur.
I mean, different parts of the story; the latter part would be rigt after S1 when she's telling them about "Hal" and who he really is. Second part, Nenya was actually fine as Sauron's hands never sullied the 3 elven rings, as the text says, and same goes for the show, however when he creates the one ring the elves immediately realise he has influence and that's when they take them off. Men and Dwarves were too greedy so they didn't give a fuck, plus probably didn't even realise. I think that's why they've changed the order of the creation of the rings, or the elven rings would have no arc. Not a terrible change imo, as they are the most powerful and interesting.
@@Krims7 Agreed. Also, even the Elves put the rings back on after Sauron is defeated. With him stripped of the One Ring, they just become some of the most powerful artifacts in all the world with no downside anymore. One of them was passed to Gandalf and he wore it throughout the War of the Ring during the original movies and books. The Elf rings really are almost purged of Sauron's influence. They just don't quite pull it off entirely.

No it’s not. Those nose and ear props are a visual annoyance. The costumes are cosplay tier. How can we go backward? We’ll never have anything as good as the movies.
The visual quality of the background and actors is sometime quite stark and it pull you out. There are quite large number of shots with soft scattered light and you can tell in a instance, which scenes are shot out side, on stage and fully digital. The CGI look so good but it clash so much with the poor costumes and even more poor actors choice (purely on face types). Galadriel if she is not smiling or shouting is ok, even Elrond is ok, i like how they make the elf Sauron. Celebrimbor is a joke and they should take inspiration from shadow of Mordor. And i always have to tell my self who is that irritating person no one take serious, oh yes the elf king. And the human Sauron look weak and almost like a hobo, which almost fit if you want to hide. But he look so lost all the time, even when they know who he is, he still act like he have no idea what is happening.

Anything post season 1 is fruit of the poisoned tree. There's no coming back from that, because you're still going to have to remember that everything is built on that.
LotR was made with deep and meaningful philosophical morals included. It was made from a Christian perspective and the new version seems shallow not only because the new writers are stupid and selfish, but because they cannot possibly make the story as meaningful when all the actual meaning and morality has been stripped because they can’t add what they never had to the story. This is part of why the rings are focused on in a way that doesn’t actually befit their true danger or meaning, and have basically just become miguffins with no meaning beyond causing antagonism.
@@DurbyspecialHe said it wasn’t allegory, true enough. But he absolutely stated the story was Christian in nature. Specifically, a “fundamentally religious and Catholic work.” It doesn’t have to be allegory to express Christian themes or messages.
@@Durbyspecial I didn’t point out anything whatsoever from the show (as I’ve seen very little of it past the first 4 episodes). Maybe you’re referring to the original comment? I just enjoy Tolkien content and have recently had conversations with a lot of people claiming that Tolkien’s work “can’t be Christian” because he stated it wasn’t an allegory. Essentially, claiming that one can’t express morality in fiction without it being allegorical. My knee-jerk response to that is to point out that a fantasy work can be very Christian (or indeed embrace any belief system) in its morality and message without directly referencing it (like Tolkien, or for a “low-fantasy” example: Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” doesn’t really rely on overt references to Christianity and takes what appears on the surface to be a secular view of the holiday). It doesn’t have to be a direct allegory of Christianity (a la “Narnia”) in order to “preach,” for lack of a better term, Christianity. As far as Rings of Power goes, I haven’t seen enough to judge whether the morality jives with Tolkien’s. I would imagine it doesn’t just based on what I’ve seen thus far and statements made by the showrunners, but I don’t know. Hell, Jackson’s films certainly have issues with it, and that crew were trying very hard to be faithful; so I could imagine a show whose producers have stated will be quite a departure from Tolkien might have issues sharing his morality.

I look forward to your opinion of the Mt Doom scenes from season 1 since I know you hadn't gotten there yet. Personally I think that entire scenario, scene, and aftermath was the shining light of season 1 amidst a lot of fog. Also to this day I stand by my claim that the most important and singular flaw of season 1 was that every Galadriel scene lingers for 1 to 3 seconds too long at the end of the shot, typically on her face. Every single off-putting vibe across the whole of Season 1 is during or immediately follows a Galadriel scene, and the transition out of her scenes was the primary issue that made everything feel so, I dunno, cringe? Ick? Off-putting, essentially. There were other acceptable/smaller individual issues, but the reason those issues are hard to look past is because of this one glaring issue. There's even a practically Galadriel-free episode that's just fantastic by comparison, and it's not that she herself is poorly portrayed. It's just bad editing that makes her drag the whole production down.

There were two versions of the blue wizards. At the beginning Tolkien intended for all 5 wizards to come to middle earth at the same time. The two blue wizards went to the east with Saruman, and only Saruman came back. They were supposed to become corrupted and teach people satanic ways, which led some people to believe they were the bad guys of the LOTR sequel. Yes there was supposed to be a sequel but Tolkien regretted that decision and abondooned the idea. After that the second version arrived. In the late version, the blue wizards arrive sooner, and go to the east, and actually gain success. Basically if they didn't get a lot of people on their side, Sauron could grow a bigger army sooner and it would be over for the middle earth. So in a way they stayed true to their mission too, in the second version.

"And it came to pass that the masons of the house of Finwë, quarrying in the hills after stone (for they delighted in the building of high towers), first discovered the earth-gems, and brought them forth in countless myriads; and they devised tools for the cutting and shaping of gems, and carved them in many forms. What are you talking about? They are focusing on the exact text of the appendices this season, which is a few sentences of text might I add. We're seeing Annatar (Sauron) in Eregion manipulate Celebrimbor to create the rings, appearing as an emissary of the Valar, the beginnings of the Numinor plotline and rising of Ar-Pharazôn which ends in its destruction (eagle of Manwe most likely warning them to stop going down their longevity rout etc), the War of Eregion, which will be the biggest ever TV battle spanning over 3 eps as per a cast interview, the Blue Wizards going east. Tom, I can understand and I'm a bit iffy, but even in the text it's said before he settles with Goldberry he wandered Middle Earth in ages past, so I can see it being OK if they do it well, as in, he is curious about what's happening in ME, but not bothered by it.

"Meneldur] saw that [the letter] came from King Gil-galad.... It was sealed and bore his device of white stars upon a blue rondure."
Unfinished Tales, Part 2, Ch 2, Aldarion and Erendis
...
"When Aldarion left the chamber, Meneldur looked at the letter that his son had given him, wondering; for he saw that it came from King Gil-galad in Lindon. It was sealed and bore his device of white stars upon a blue rondure. Upon the outer fold was written:
Given at Mithlond to the hand of the Lord Aldarion King's Heir of Númenórë, to be delivered to the High King at Armenelos in person.
Then Meneldur broke the seal and read:
Ereinion Gil-galad son of Fingon to Tar-Meneldur of the line of Eärendil, greeting: the Valar keep you and may no shadow fall upon the Isle of Kings.
Unfinished Tales, Part 2, Ch 2, Aldarion and Erendis
Gil-galad shows himself here to be perceptive and proactive, he is well aware of evil stirring in the world...though does not know exact source. Nooooo, you can’t possibly bring yourself to watch this, if you do you’re just an Amazon shill and you can’t possibly be someone who just enjoys Tolkien’s world and wants to give a messy show a chance!!1!1!11!! 🙄🙄
10:00 I laughed so hard, that is the best description of how I know it!
Now Amazon prime can rest asmon like this 😂😂😂
Asmonshill is going to earn his bonus from Amazon
Does she still have a Tempest? 😂
Must be that elvish food
Maybe she had some fluids during the break
She probably drank somethin in the water.
Looks like a 90's Sci-Fi movie
Remind me to cancel my amazon membership ASAP. Im not interesting in desperatly hoping a 2nd season will fix the 1st season. You need to retcon the entire 1st season for any of this to even matter.
How long till you change the title editor 😂
I wonder if its engagement farming
Roughly 10 min 😂
What was the title before?
@MurderDronesMAPPride FY!!
@MurderDronesMAPPride FY!!
I'll Predict that the entire fight scene in this season are only as long as the trailer
how is this still a thing 💀
They made a multi season deal from the get go and have to go through with it.
we're so cooked
Gondor and Anor have not even been built yet
Tolkien specifically and definitively stated it wasn't a Christian allegory.
@@prime-of-two3753 I am not aware of the showrunner's stating that the show 'will be quite a departure from Tolkien', and a cursory google search resulting in nothing related to that. Where did you find that statement?
Looks like they made it ever so slightly less boring. Good for them. They may loose less money than projected.
So last night for a couple of minutes AZ put out a video called "the Paris Olympics just pissed off everybody". It was immediately labeled private. What's going on are you not allowed to talk about it?
Issues stemming from the last supper
They are flagging videos showing the thing.
The Olympics organization went after everyone who showed footage of it.
papa smurf nuts were hanging out
A better trailer for this season, maybe we might get a few better episodes? Probably not, but ill check out the first episode of season 2 at least.
“You all have become his collaborators”…….
Ohh, that’s right!! This is cosplaying, I get it now 😅.
They learned their lesson about the trailers. Don’t trust them.
Why do they think rehashing old quotes will always make people go "oh! they said the thing!"
Is Sauron a divine being or a roaming human actor? I don't get why he doesn't completely change his form. He looks like he put makeup and a wig on
$1 million per episode….
And the best they could come up with was “Sauron Not-Sauron”.
It showed in trailer he returns as human to Eregion. So he won't hide who he was. It checks with leaks he will say he was servant of Valar
Early assumption can kill.
@@sauron5666 He should be able to go to further lengths than that. I mean this is like the devil failing once and taking a comical slightly changed form on his next try to seduce and manipulate. This reminds me of Team Rocket schemes in pokemon back in the day, it's just ridiculous.
@@barbaxamos Celebrimbor wasn't told he is Sauron. He will be in place where he is alone and easy to manipulate
And even in books it worked similary.
"Now Celebrimbor was not corrupted in heart or faith, but had accepted Sauron as what he posed to be."
@@sauron5666 Well ok I can see how that would work. I'm not very invested in the story so I'll take your word for it.
Sauron somehow returned
Can't truly die. Is still alive after Return of the King
"But that's not how it is supposed to be." People who read the books
Me seeing the "elves": Do you vear Vigs?? Have you vorn vigs??? Vhen vill you vear vigs????????
Wait, this shait wasn't cancelled after the first season?
Don't underestimate their ability to burn money!
“Who is this man”
“She is no man”
Yup not watching it.
They said "He is no man" and they were talking about Sauron though, what are you on about?
She says "He is no man" but sure 😂
Where the hell do you hear "She" she clearly says "he"
I recommend getting those ears checked
Four answers not getting the point. lol
im the only who think the "rings" looks a cheap copy from the rings of Peter Jackson, is like is not nostalgia you can see how the ring of Galadriel looks like a chinese supermarket plastic copy and the one in the movie looks magical. Even if you ask some fan, he can made a better one with a bunch of scraps
Even if season 2 turns out good(it can't be more than that) I'd have to finish watching season 1 and I couldn't suffer through that without being materialistically compensated.
I will cherish the LOTR movies and I will stayed in the past remembering the good old times.
The rings of power and other sequels that might come from this don’t exist in my mind anymore
My dude, these are not related to the PJ movies.
Did you like the lore changes in the PJ movies?
ok we have seen every action sequence now what's going to be between these is the important part
Hopefuly not slop like in House of L3sbians. They made a whole s2 with few pages of book
wow how easy it is to buy you
its not about buying him , he is a clown, his personality is elon musk.
Rings... Rings... Rings... Oh ya, milk that Ring concept. Hey guys, did you know this show will have Rings? They also give power and loyalty. TLDR: Rings
The fuck you expect it to be about that's kind of the whole plot of the 2nd and 3rd age
What do u expect 😂
Watching movies/shows called "RINGS of Power," and "Lord of the RINGS," and complaining about the rings is wild..
It's like watching a cooking channel, and saying "Why the hell do they keep talking about food so much?"
If the first season didn’t exist I’d actually be kinda hype
Tolkien be like.... DAFAQ!
the least the CGI artist is working over time to save this train wreck, some of the visual does look pretty damn cool tho, but other than that its still a mockery of the original works
We saw that first title sir 👀
What was it?
Thanks to Asmongold and Roaming Trend's Channel, all I know is that I'm looking forward to seeing Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2. :)
Worst Wow cinematic ever is amazing he says, LOTR's bastardized debauchery is great .... Did Mr Beast & Asmon's media commemorate managers pay him to have these horrid takes recently wtf is happening? KEKW
He’s always given the benefit of the doubt.
@@sirhc8927 You mean given the most fake monetary gains opinion.
season one took a runny, steamy pile of shit on the legacy of Tolkien so forgive me of my super skepticism for season two being better.
I need that guy who made Frieren vs this to make a part 2
" Wait! It's a trick. Get an axe. "
good,bad....im the guy with the gun
The only good moments are when big CGI monsters appear. Actors still don't fit, dialogs are boring...
Is it, though?
Not really. It's the Holocaust of bad.
Did the video title changed not even ten minutes after upload?
Tbf and objective. The trailer looked good. I know 95% people on here are just shitting on it for the sake of it...
Real, mindless drones don’t know how to get off the hate wagon
For how beautiful it looks, this is all sooo fucking wrong and it has mangled the story, timeline and characters , more than last season.
