I cashiered part time for about seven years. Did not like it standing on my feet and then you are responsible for shortages unlike what this video said. And you have to be polite to the customer so then you’re vulnerable to this kind of stuff.
I tried it. I got the cashier's wife. I gave him all 3 of my wives told him I need a wife back, because I accidentally gave him too many. Grabbed another guys wife and gave him her, then told him he took too many wives, and then I asked for his 2 wives Now I got 2 new wives.
Cashiers Pay Attention! When you charge a customer, take the money first And second give change back. Nothing else! And when giving change, if the customer tries giving you money for different change say one thing at a time. If customer insist, inform them company policy one complete thing at a time.
What should I do when a customer tries to distract me whenever I’m giving them back there change, I never listen to them. But the other day this guy came in bought something for a $1 and gave me a $20 and as I was getting the change he says oh wait I have a dollar he ask for his $20 back and then he tries talking to me again and then he pulled out a 1 insisting that I gave him a $1 but I know I gave him a 20. I told him that I already gave him a 20 and he keep saying no and I said I’m sorry and I just left instead. Should I have called the police or something could they have done something?
Create Imagine: I want you to be a machine, you are going to process one thing at a time to keep it simple. Any distractions, pause and think. If anyone alters a money transaction, be a robot and perform the original task.

@@dylantroutman4363 Cashiers are not ATM machines. I have seen someone tried this before and the cashier said he cannot open it again unless he buys something. Lucky we both spoke Spanish and told me that he was gonna have fun with him cause he was bored.
Not sure of it matters...Let's say I have a small red rock and the cashier has a small yellow rock and a medium orange rock. I say, "lets trade... my small red rock for your small yellow rock?" Sounds fair? Same size. We trade, but I give him half of the small red rock; however, he gives me the full small yellow rock. He notices it's only half, so he asks for the rest of the small red rock. I give him the rest of the small red rock, but I also give him the yellow rock and I say, "you know what? Here take these two rocks; a red and yellow one, and just give me your orange medium rock." (Hoping he forgot we were just switching rocks) Cashier forgets we were trading and thinks he gained two rocks; a small red rock and small yellow rock.(Reality check! the red one was yours already) He gives me the medium orange rock...I effectively gain a medium rock for one small small rock. I run away before he notices what happen since his brain just assumed it was fair.Too late! You got played! I traded your own rock for your bigger rock. Mwhahahaha! Much harder to detect, money wise.
After he made his purchase he asked the cashier to change his $1 (single) bills into a bigger bill. Handing over only $8 to further confuse the cashier in which he notices he short $2 to complete a $10 bill. The clerk hands over the $10 to the customer but right after the customer gets his $10 he quickly hands it back and asks for a $20. Now when you look closely he is only handing over $10 and walks out with $20. He never hands him $20 at once. If he only has $10 hes is going to gamble with what he only has. If he had $50 he would probably try to walk out with $75- $100.
Basically the trick is making the cashier think they handed you more than they did and it makes you think the stores money is what they handed you it’s meant to be confusing
See I don't do all that.I close my drawer, before I give you your change.I make sure to count out every penny as I'm handing it to you.Once my drawer is closed,I don't go for "can I have this or that?" Clerk : Takes the $10 bill and returns 8 $1 bills.
Scammer : Asks Clerk to exchange 1 $10 bill for 10 $1 bills but only gives him 8 $1 bills.
Clerk : Requests Scammer to give him the remaining 2 $1 bills.
Scammer : Gives the 2 $1 bills requested
Scammer : Gives the Clerk 1 $10 bill and requests the Clerk 1 $20 bill.
You'd have to be really really stupid to exchange a 1 $20 bill for a 1 $10 bill.
Scammer got tripped up when the clerk turned out to be smart and knew how to count money correctly 😂🤣

As I’m putting it in the register, he says “Actually I don’t want to break it, I’ll give you some change.” Then I hand him the $100 back and he says “You can just give me the $94” and I forgot I handed him back the $100 so I get out $94 in change, and he gives me 49 cents, which I now see was a trick to make me feel like he had paid. Then he leaves and I realized wtf happened, and was abt to chase him but he was already in his car and speeding off.
I hope you did what you were supposed to and told your manager that a guy stole 100$ instead of just letting him keep it
This happened to me how can mf people do this I feel so embarrassed at my job and depressed about it

No he stole 5+ the 94 he tricked the cashier into giving him in change
Thanks for the knowledge drop. I'm heading to Wal-Mart now.
that;s why at my job i give them their exact change and i close the drawer
if they asked me if i need any $ 1's or anything like that i say no if they asked me if i can make change i tell them they need to buy something for the drawer to be opened
Why would the register be off anyway if ur doing everything correctly
Nice. Now I know how to execute a perfect quick change scam.
Learn to shortchange the shortchange artist
No change exchange during a transaction period. Implement it in a new cashier training module.
Did you seriously do this? And it actually worked??! What country did you do this in
Relatable
Basically taught you in live news tv how to quick change lmao
Now I know to beware ! and slow it down alot, and recount ...if I run into a guy like this ! Thanx so much !!!
Create Imagine:
I want you to be a machine, you are going to process one thing at a time to keep it simple.

I don’t think it’s ever happened to you or you would understand how it’s not really the cashiers fault. Today, during a tropical storm where people are all out getting last minutes supplies, two black dudes came up to my register trying to buy a single beer. The whole store is busy af. I’m just trying to get them out of the line quickly as possible. He hands me a 50. I’m immediately suspicious. After I’ve broken down his change and recounted everything like 10 times(as they keep harassing me) he grabs all the money out of my hand. I try to get it back but he holds Walmart’s money just out of reach(literally a robbery at this point) he then hands me a 1 and asks for it in quarters. I do it. I somehow forgot about him robbing me and he hands me all the money back and asks for me to make it into a 100. I do and hand it to him. He hails ass out the door as I realize he gave me a 50 and I gave him a 100. Immediately ask for an audit and it’s 100 short.
@@dylantroutman4363 It’s impossible for anyone to trick me when it comes to money . Besides I don’t really deal with cash like that .
People that do that need to get a minimum of 5 years in prison. Our country needs tougher laws so people will actually learn a lesson
$2,100??? That cashier should have had a manager come over for a cash transaction that large for any reason.
Thanks for encouraging more scammers the police not gonna do nothing anyway🤦♂️🚫
What is the reason behind that barefooted person? Lol 1:17
At the store I work at once I close the drawer after the transaction I have to get a manager to open it. Now I see why
I've seen this in person. It's a confidence scam. Blew my mind.
I've had people try this several times with me and nope they never got any extra with me! 😂😂
Basically just look at what they hand you, uninterrupted lol
Well that’s kind of hard when they double team you and literally grab money out of your hand. Yes, it happened to me today…
The store is short $10 NOT $8.. He gave the $2 back then asked for a $20 for an extra $10 = +$10 -$10..( Its works if even the example is losing money..)HaHa..
Where in from they say Pay Attention... Its Free!!
Just pray it never happens to you.
And pray that God catches and punishes ALL money thieves . Amen .

Why would you get charged for this when its because of general stupidity?
You certainly have been scammed at one or two points in your life. Nobody calls you stupid for that

As soon as someone’s like “oh I want to break the change” after I do their transaction NUH UH the transaction stops there. If you’re being legit, go to customer service or to a bank.
I had this happen to me a few months ago. It's been eating me up how I would fall for that
Count their money FIRST then give them change. If he COUNTED eight BEFORE giving ten the method will fail.
If you fall for that then you deserve it.

I didn't get it. Can someone please explain?
Not sure of it matters...Let's say I have a small red rock and the cashier has a small yellow rock and a medium orange rock. I say, "lets trade... my small red rock for your small yellow rock?" Sounds fair? Same size. We trade, but I give him half of the small red rock; however, he gives me the full small yellow rock. He notices it's only half, so he asks for the rest of the small red rock. I give him the rest of the small red rock, but I also give him the yellow rock and I say, "you know what? Here take these two rocks; a red and yellow one, and just give me your orange medium rock."
(Hoping he forgot we were just switching rocks) Cashier forgets we were trading and thinks he gained two rocks; a small red rock and small yellow rock.(Reality check! the red one was yours already) He gives me the medium orange rock...I effectively gain a medium rock for one small small rock. I run away before he notices what happen since his brain just assumed it was fair.Too late! You got played! I traded your own rock for your bigger rock. Mwhahahaha! Much harder to detect, money wise.
When the cashier cons you smh
I don't mean to sound dumb but I find this really confusing. Can someone please thoroughly this explain to me?
Andrew Bui sure, here you go ruclips.net/video/iLDgLOga6oE/видео.html
After he made his purchase he asked the cashier to change his $1 (single) bills into a bigger bill. Handing over only $8 to further confuse the cashier in which he notices he short $2 to complete a $10 bill. The clerk hands over the $10 to the customer but right after the customer gets his $10 he quickly hands it back and asks for a $20. Now when you look closely he is only handing over $10 and walks out with $20. He never hands him $20 at once. If he only has $10 hes is going to gamble with what he only has. If he had $50 he would probably try to walk out with $75- $100.
Andrew Bui of course here you go! ruclips.net/video/iLDgLOga6oE/видео.html
Basically the trick is making the cashier think they handed you more than they did and it makes you think the stores money is what they handed you it’s meant to be confusing
See I don't do all that.I close my drawer, before I give you your change.I make sure to count out every penny as I'm handing it to you.Once my drawer is closed,I don't go for "can I have this or that?" Because I'll say " dang,I closed my drawer already, sorry".And that's that. You can't out fox a fox.Plus I move extremely fast when I run register. They usually do that to slow poke cashier's that have been there for hours and they're tired.I don't get tired.
That example they evened out
