ABQ has several model display cases at the terminal entrance. Supposedly, each model represents an aircraft that has actually been based at or flown through ABQ going way back in history.
@@wkelly3053 All this time in The Land of Enchantment, I’ve only been in the ABQ terminal once, returning from my year on the ROK. Unfortunately not enough time changing planes to seek out the display. A couple of gas & goes during UPT, 117 to the Taco ANG airshow, ABQ tower wanted my to fly up initial in my Heritage painted QF-4E prior to performing a flyby at Sandia Resort during a USAF 2007 anniversary celebration.
@@wkelly3053Next time I’m up there, I’ll check it out. UPT T-38 out & back from Reese AFB, late ‘88 to early ‘89. An F-16, N model iirc, was in the pattern with me, his callsign: AORTA 1. Parked next to my 38, go over and ask if I could check out the bird. No problem, go ahead. Brand new from Ft Worth (hence the callsign). The cockpit smelled like a new car!
Only been in an airport a few times. Pearson up here and JFK and Newark in the USA. In Newark the plane was late and ended up getting sloshed at the bar.
Most likely the safest course of action while in Sewark. I was in Sewark a couple of years ago, the terminal had the same blue chairs (a lot more worn, torn) I remember from my time their in the 80’s. Quite a bit of rust/rot visible.
Talk about walking?? MSP! Minneapolis has Miles of walking especially if you go from two concourses over…you may not make your flight if your transferring to a commuter. I’ve missed several flights because of it. But that is from a passenger perspective. Sacramento has a more user friendly terminal. Not quite as cool as SAN, but it is easy.
Tom Hanks approved of this video.
I remember ELP had quite the model airplane display stocked by the local modeling club. The enjoyable part of the travel before the moo…moo…

@@JMdfcv Cool stuff. If you're ever in the terminal again, try the spicy chicken soup northeast of the 'Flying Indian' statue. Crews like it.

DTW Delta terminal with the cool red tram that runs the length of it. MSP, lots of good food. SAN, just for proximity to the city.
Great observations

yeah i was surprised to see MSP not mentioned for that reason lol. Its a cardio workout every time!
I wonder what Max's opinion is on STL.
As a resident of the Philadelphia, PA area, I knew he wouldn’t mention PHL…It’s never been a cool terminal.
