A while back, somebody said the X-cycle would emphasize XMen working as a team. Rogue does that in spades.
In multiplayer it’s conceivable she can grab some else’s 8 hit whombo card, use it, hand it back politely then go about her business.
I especially like how she has access to cards she otherwise wouldn’t by exploiting Traits. She can be an Android and use Reboot for example. In a very real way she rewards people with large collections.
I’m still waiting for someone to come up with a way to exploit minion/villain traits.
I know we're looking at solo here, but knowing that Storm can give Rogue stalwart or retaliate just makes her cards even cooler.
Since I almost always play solo (I haven't plaid with another person in a couple of years), I plan on setting out a "dummy" hero to have the option to put Touched on that "dummy." Then I can be more creative with builds. One I want to try is to have a Rogue Web-Warrior build. I don't know if it'll be great since it's tough NOT to put Touched on the villain, but I generally think it's unfair to limit what I can do because a hero was designed more for multi-player. My goal is to have fun, and coming up with creative builds is part of that fun (and I don't want to be forced to play 2-handed).
Oh, that's funny. You mentioned that right after I wrote this, though you didn't care for the idea. The thing is, though, that I want to see how I can combine a Web-Warrior build with another build to make it unique. Since I'm running a Protection tournament right now, combining with X-Men build seems like it could be interesting.
Great minds think a like? haha. And yeah, maybe it's because I have run so many trait builds recently that I am just tired of it... I don't know...
@@D20Woodworking I can understand that. I have ongoing tournaments I run, so that means I don't play any one hero very frequently, but I play every single hero in that tournament, so I've played each hero a fair number of times. I only recently started looking at other people's decks as inspiration (in the last couple of weeks), so I have many types of builds I likely haven't tried yet.
