My grandad was CONVINCED that the phone company didn’t pay by the text- it was by the _word._ So he would use periods instead of spaces because he thought he was cheating the system. You absolutely could not tell him otherwise. Dunno if that was just a him thing or a rumor that went around
Well, that's how telegrams worked I think. You paid by word. I do remember hearing you paid by character for texting by cellphones (back in the day) but that was probably not true, and it's just that we only had the numpad. So typing out full words would be cumbersome to say the least.

Nexpo covered a similar channel; it randomly generates celebrities and then dates (so Brad Pitt 10-10-23). As the date passes with nothing happen, they delete the videos but when a video does land on a celebrity and date on passing correctly, they leave it up, appearing as though they predicted their death correctly. Soon the entire is nothing but "accurate" predictions. The big example that got them attention was Kobe Bryant.
It was actually just one long video with every single date on private and when the celebrity died they would use the RUclips editor to cut the wrong dates and make the video public idek how what you’re saying would work
The first video I saw from this trend was a video about Sharon Osborne’s very real and totally fake death, but the thumbnail wasn’t just her face with the dates of birth and “death”, it was a funeral with a picture of her face in a frame and Ozzy Osborne photoshopped in so it looked like he was mourning her death.

I don’t think this is the same channel that I saw one time but I saw a channel that did this exact same sort of thing a while back and the whole point was to try to convince people they were predicting the deaths bc they were always published before the actual death. They’d publish hundred and hundreds of them and some of them would turn out to be true (because statistics I guess I don’t know math) and they’d delete the ones that weren’t true eventually and then make more. People were like omg how does this channel know?!?! But then they realized they’d publish like ridiculous amounts of videos and get rid of the ones that were wrong.
