Durban is sooooo underrated, this place is 🔥
Facts 💯
My Siddey 😁🔥🔥
Wow..one of the best Durban videos from a Black American perspective
Thanks
The most underrated travel channel on RUclips. Your guides are perfect. Keep it up bro!
Thanks Nate. I appreciate that.
@Nate Wilson that’s what I be saying this channel is hugely underrated.
@@travelconnect1I really appreciate how you honestly and accurately break down our different cities but I must say that until you visit the Eastern Cape Province you're still short of the full SA experience. Visit Port Elizabeth/ Gqeberha. You can stay either at the beachfront Boardwalk Hotel or at the Radisson Blu also among many other hotels. You will find that PE and also Easy London are the best kept secrets from international travelers.Enjoy ur videos though
Thanks Sean 🫡
Thanks. I'll be visiting all those cities in the Eastern Cape as well. Once the channel starts growing, i'll be about to spend more time in Africa creating content for you guys. But until then, all this is being funded out of my own pocket. If you want to support, you can use one of the methods in the description box of this video, or, you can just continue to watch, like, and share my videos. Either way, I appreciate you all.
As a proud Durbanite, thank you for this vlog. Our City is always getting flak from the naysayers. Enjoyed the content brother!!!
My pleasure 🙏🏿
@travelconnect1, you are by far the only American who visited South Africa with a Top Billing content.
Thanks! I appreciate that 🙏🏿
Can't wait to see Durban again,l lived there for ten years and it's so nice and the people respect
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I was in Durban a couple of months ago, stayed on North Beach, more security and a lot safer than 5 years ago, same said for Florida Rd, much safer...Uhmlanga is like a millionaires playground...Durbans a must see and yes friendlier than Cape Town and less hassle
Thanks for the insight
Durban has the best looking weman in Africa. It's 50 to 1 male here so bring your cash and enjoy the view.
They are beautiful, but I'd have to disagree
Thank you for sharing your experience in my city ❤❤❤❤
My pleasure
Thank you for visiting my lovely city. People that live in Durban are called ' Durbanites, Joburg are ' Joburgers' and Cape Town are ' Cape Towneans'
My pleasure
Fact:Durban Rocks
💯
Durban is like Miami my brother beautiful and vibey city
Gotta love it!
Same thing l said
Durban is called South Africa's playground for a reason, geeat video✌
Thanks 🙏🏿
So much useful information in these videos. Keeps it short and very entertaining. Very articulate host. Thanks 👍🏽 Lovin’ it
Thanks. I appreciate that 🙏🏿
I am from Southern Africa and spent 45 yrs in the US and Durban reminds me of Miami. I have stayed in Zimabali resort which is gorgeous
Gotta love it
Man another nice video keep doing your thing
Thanks Sean. I appreciate that 🙏🏿
Excellent as Usual 🔥🔥💯
Thanks 🙏🏿
Awesomeness is watching your informative Channel.

Thank you. I plan to visit.
You're welcome
Great video once again, would love to hear the sounds in the night clubs and other areas to get the real feel of the place.👍 Yeah looks great!
Thanks for watching!
I can not wait to go to Durban
Goodtimes!
Great video
Thanks fam
The "h" in "Umhlanga" is not silent. To pronounce the "hl" sound, touch your palate with the tip of your tongue and exhale into the "anga"
😂😂😂 Love your explanation
You should have heard me try it just now. I'm sure you wouldn't have approved. 🤣🤣🤣
Pronounced
Oomshlanga
@@moinpatel9164 No no no no. Not the 'S' 🤣🤣😂😂
Thank you for the glowing report👌🏾 I'm a native of Johannesburg, but I love Durban and its surrounding suburbs. Definitely cheaper living costs than Joburg and Cape Town, and friendlier too. It's a great mix of slow living and city life. Try Port Elizabeth (Qheberha). You might like it.
Thanks for the insight! Hopefully I can make my way to Port Elizabeth later this year. 😊
Your content is very nice and informative Bro. U have a new subscriber. I can’t wait to visit Durban
Thanks, and welcome to the community.
I appreciate this video...I will be on the continent for two weeks in September. Spending a couple of days in Joburg then driving to Durban for my birthday weekend to see the country side and party a bit.... then back to Joburg to end my visit this time.
That's what's up. I have 2 Johannesburg videos on the channel. Check them out. Hopefully they will give you some ideas of things to do while there. Enjoy.
@travelconnect1 I been to joburg several times but it's always good to find more things to do. You definitely get my support on your channel bruh!
Thanks Bryant
Should explore Ballito, Salt Rock that's Durban North, it is lovely.
Thanks. I definitely will!
Very good content
Thanks 🙏🏿
Great video man ... very informative. I have a friend who is from Durban ... always inviting me to visit but I was being put off by the poor reviews coming out of other areas in SA
You should definitely go. Very underrated city
Great review. I was expecting you to eat famous bunny chow
I've never heard if that. I'll look it up next time I visit.
It’s a great video
Thanks 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
my home town proudly Durbanites❤
💯
You have great content, like this one. If I may add a suggestion, next to narrating, what about vlog addition, even if it is just one minute broken down into 4x20 sec where you interview/ask a single question or make a statement while you are at a venue?
Would make your content extremely pesonal and relateble. Otherwise good job!
Thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking about that as well.
Did you try the Durban Bunny Chow?
Curry Dish served in a quarter loaf of bread? (Very spicey) Gounden's makes good ones. Or try Coconut Grove for a Bunny Chow experience
Now I have a reason to go back. Thanks!
Durban is 🔥

Okay you really did Durban properly!
Thanks Missy
Please visit South Coast(Hibiscus coast) which is South of Durban
I will. 😊

Thanks for the support Dinha. I really appreciate it. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

Some other places u need to visit such as UMLAZI KWAMAX & it biggest kasi in our province second kasi in south Africa❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the recommendations. I can't wait until my next visit. 🔥🔥🔥
@@travelconnect1 can't wait to take u around those places
You need to link up on come to Jamaica fa sure best beach inna the world
Jamaica has definitely been calling me
Brother here in SA the ratio of men to women is 5:1 thats why you'll see a lot of them
😅 Thanks for watching
The most underrated city in the country is Port Elizabeth. Book at any of the hotels at the beachfront. Boardwalk hotel or Radisson Blu but the are many others. Port Elizabeth also has the cleanest beaches in the country. The cities you have been to are also the best marketed but Port Elizabeth rivals the other two cities pretty well.
Thanks. I plan on visiting Port Elizabeth towards the end of the year.
@@travelconnect1 Awesome
@@travelconnect1it would be awesome if we could do a collabor when you come to PE as i stay here and do a lot of content work in PE and the surrounding areas. Great video of Durban, I thoroughly enjoyed it 😊
Light went out during party in a club. What is going on SA?
Been an issue in SA for a while
Excellent wonderful in Shark Marine world 👌👌👌⭐⭐⭐⭐
🔥🔥🔥
😎😎😎✌️✌️✌️
"A little more rachet" , brother aint seen nothing yet. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
lol 😂 there are levels to it hey. Similarly to what you may consider a hood in the US will mostly likely have a way different feel and look in comparison to the hood in SA.
Foolish.. Durban is the most popular tourist city for South Africans in South Africa.
Zulu Kingdom my bru, we have the Royal Family and everything in KZN.
Thanks for the correction
Look at those women❤ sorry had to say it.
Very beautiful
you missed the best of south Afrika.Cape Town
Below is my Cape Town video. Check it out.

Bro the H is not silent when you pronounce Umhlanga.
I've tried fam. Lol. Going to take some getting used to.
First time watching a Durban vlog and someone not mentioning Zulu history 😂
First time for everything. 😉
@@travelconnect1 that's our pride and joy that you excluded 😂
I didn't get to experience that, but now I have an excuse to come back to see some of that culture. Thanks.
Wow Beautiful I love you 💖💖💖💖💖
Word?
Just stay out of the sea raw sewage every day flow into the bay and out to sea😮
Wow
No doubt South Africa is beautiful. My honest opinion is as Americans, you all seem to go the big major cities and metropolitans. You go to the top fancy hotels, like the Protea, try a boutique hotel. This for any South African is the best of the best. It'll be nice to get someone who can show you around. We've got Hillcrest, Valley of 1000 Hills, we have the Eastern Cape, we have Limpopo. All the videos I watch of Americans visiting SA, you all seem to want the built up metropolitan life, and I think it limits you because there is so much more than Durban, than Cape Town or Jozi.
It's not a American thing. People in general tend to visit the most popular cities in every country, as they are usually more tourist friendly.
And from a RUclipsr perspective, you first want to go to the popular cities because you'll get more views...as they are popular. Then after you build a subscriber base, you can go to less popular areas and have a better chance of RUclips pushing those videos out to a broader audience. RUclips is a business, so you must be strategic.

Umhlanga
Yes
Such a narrow perspective - you should've tried more
I'm just filming my vacations. But that's for watching
Get your Passport bros and leave matrix women 😂😂😂😂🇿🇦✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
You don't need a passport to find a good woman. They are everywhere...including America.
It's perspective in English, not prospective, why do Americans struggle with their home language so much?
Thanks for watching
not advisable to visit. High crime rate. I got mugged here . never coming back.
Sorry to hear that
Ne o lahlile ,
Clearly AI talking to you!!! Next time you in Durban, allow me to be your Tour Guide I will show you the true Durban!! Why were you not taken to the outskirts of Durban, the famous Shack Dwellings and so many eyesore places of ROT??? Love to know what was your reward on this video???
Simple....I'm a tourist and wanted to go to the touristy part of town. I wasn't interested in going to the outskirts on my first trip to Durban. That's for another video.
The vast majority of Durban is in rot. The reason why your bus didn't allow you to walk the markets of the city centre is because too many of your tour group would get violently robbed.
I'm pretty sure they didn't let us off because the company only has one bus, and because of this they must keep a tight schedule. Joburg has many buses which allows them to let passengers on and off every hour.
did my nigga say kwazi zulu natal?
I'm sure I missed it up. 😅
I beg to differ ---- you people tend to romantisise cities like Durban/ Cape Town/ Johannesburg -------- in reality there is a LOT of crime ----- especially murder/ highjackings/robberies/theft/ housebreaking in South Africa in general ----- it has become routine
There is a lot of crime in many touristy places around the world, and i've been to those as well. Including in my own country. This doesn't mean you shouldn't visit them. It just means you use caution.
Umlanga 😪😪
Yes. 😊
lovley country but more dangerous then Chicago
Like Chicago, DC, Detroit, and many other U.S cities with higher crime rates, you just have to know how to move.
Bull!I've been to Chicago there is NO way SA is more dangerous than American cities
@@MasechabaLekgoanei live in chicago and lived in joburg for a year. Joburg is more dangerous. The cops are gangsters there
Durban beaches are contaminated with sewage.
🙏🏿
I am black canadian and always wanted to visit SA with my wife but i am so scared of crime. If it was just pick pockets or criminals after your belongings, it would be manageable, but apparently, they kill and rape too 😞
If that's your fear, then definitely don't visit America. Lol
The Country is still F up
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
You should try America, it’s wild wild there.
Every time you said oom langa made me laugh. Its pronounced um-shh-langa. Cool video depicting the prime upper income locations of Durban. Don't visit the city centre, its markets or shops - YOU WILL GET ROBBED - Durban is not like America, the vast majority of it is riddled with crime. Middle class areas like Chatsworth, malvern, montclair are a no go zone for tourists. Low income areas like Umlazi, and Phoenix will certainly get you violently attacked. Most citizens arm themselves substantially when leaving home. I've had to defend myself countless times.
Yes. My pronunciation is trash 🤦🏿♂️. Thanks for the insights. I plan to visit Durban many more times in the future. Where I'm from in the U.S. has lots of crime that I've avoided using basic street smarts. Hopefully i'll have the same luck in Durban.
@@travelconnect1Thanks for visiting our country. Kindly note that there are hateful trolls who are doing their best to scare people from coming to South Africa. Most of them are Europeans and American racists who hate SA for what it stands for. Others are unfortunately our African brothers who only want to boost tourism in their countries by discrediting SA. If South Africa was so dangerous why would Europeans flock in the country in droves. Some do not want to go back home. Every plane is full of Europeans and few black people. South Africa like any country has crime and other challenges, we are not perfect and many countries are also not perfect. We are hated for defeating apartheid and standing against exploitation of African resources. As a country we pride ourselves for standing for multipolar world and against the western hegemony. That is our sin and we dont care. We have the most beautiful country in the world with rapidly developing cities. It hurts many in the West to see a black run country thriving and they are working very hard to tarnish our reputation as a people. So, my friend enjoy our country.
Click bait troll
Thanks for watching
A little more ratchet lol
Facts! Lol
Try and get your pronunciations correct
