      @@travelconnect1I really appreciate how you honestly and accurately break down our different cities but I must say that until you visit the Eastern Cape Province you're still short of the full SA experience. Visit Port Elizabeth/ Gqeberha. You can stay either at the beachfront Boardwalk Hotel or at the Radisson Blu also among many other hotels. You will find that PE and also Easy London are the best kept secrets from international travelers.Enjoy ur videos though

But until then, all this is being funded out of my own pocket. If you want to support, you can use one of the methods in the description box of this video, or, you can just continue to watch, like, and share my videos. Either way, I appreciate you all.

    No doubt South Africa is beautiful. My honest opinion is as Americans, you all seem to go the big major cities and metropolitans. You go to the top fancy hotels, like the Protea, try a boutique hotel. This for any South African is the best of the best. It'll be nice to get someone who can show you around. We've got Hillcrest, Valley of 1000 Hills, we have the Eastern Cape, we have Limpopo. All the videos I watch of Americans visiting SA, you all seem to want the built up metropolitan life, and I think it limits you because there is so much more than Durban, than Cape Town or Jozi.

    • @travelconnect1
      @travelconnect1  3 месяца назад +4

      It's not a American thing. People in general tend to visit the most popular cities in every country, as they are usually more tourist friendly.
      And from a RUclipsr perspective, you first want to go to the popular cities because you'll get more views...as they are popular. Then after you build a subscriber base, you can go to less popular areas and have a better chance of RUclips pushing those videos out to a broader audience. RUclips is a business, so you must be strategic.

      The vast majority of Durban is in rot. The reason why your bus didn't allow you to walk the markets of the city centre is because too many of your tour group would get violently robbed.

    • @travelconnect1

    Every time you said oom langa made me laugh. Its pronounced um-shh-langa. Cool video depicting the prime upper income locations of Durban. Don't visit the city centre, its markets or shops - YOU WILL GET ROBBED - Durban is not like America, the vast majority of it is riddled with crime. Middle class areas like Chatsworth, malvern, montclair are a no go zone for tourists. Low income areas like Umlazi, and Phoenix will certainly get you violently attacked. Most citizens arm themselves substantially when leaving home. I've had to defend myself countless times.

      Yes. My pronunciation is trash 🤦🏿‍♂️. Thanks for the insights. I plan to visit Durban many more times in the future. Where I'm from in the U.S. has lots of crime that I've avoided using basic street smarts. Hopefully i'll have the same luck in Durban.

      @@travelconnect1Thanks for visiting our country. Kindly note that there are hateful trolls who are doing their best to scare people from coming to South Africa. Most of them are Europeans and American racists who hate SA for what it stands for. Others are unfortunately our African brothers who only want to boost tourism in their countries by discrediting SA. If South Africa was so dangerous why would Europeans flock in the country in droves. Some do not want to go back home. Every plane is full of Europeans and few black people. South Africa like any country has crime and other challenges, we are not perfect and many countries are also not perfect. We are hated for defeating apartheid and standing against exploitation of African resources. As a country we pride ourselves for standing for multipolar world and against the western hegemony. That is our sin and we dont care. We have the most beautiful country in the world with rapidly developing cities. It hurts many in the West to see a black run country thriving and they are working very hard to tarnish our reputation as a people. So, my friend enjoy our country.
